  1. Just a note, There is a lot of Brain research going on at those hospitals up there. My youngest son was diagnosed at The Children's Hospital that is part of Beth Israel Deaconess as having a rare neuro migration issue and is moderately delayed.

Kids with a more severe form scarily have a very short life expectency. They are studying these kids with some hope of stem cell treatment that if successful may have wide ranging application to treat traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries as well as things like demensia. Darryl is in very good hands.

  2. OG is still a work in progress, tight end may be coming around. They seem to be looking better. QB is a tough one the last two years. Stanton might have been a decent pickup. Franchise, Bortels is the only one standing out to me. So which QB in the next draft makes any sense in the second round or later? ?

Use to be 3 years on the bench learning how to deal with the defenses. Does EJ still have a chance?

P.S. Manzel is one hit away from RGIII territory and given the what the Bills did to him in 1 quarter, if they had a full game he might not be playing ever again.

  3. Thank you Chevy,

Incredible Buffalo response. Roger Goodell should step down from his post. As a Buffalo boy, he should be embarrassed by the NFL and its response to CTE and to Darryl Talley.

I am not sure I would consider him a Buffalonian anymore. He sure doesn't act like one.

That being said, there are plenty of people in Buffalo and from Buffalo who understand about being your neighbors keeper because there may be a time you just may need them to be your's.

  4. Having grown up in Buffalo in the 70s and 80s, I am still a loyal fan. I have lived in DC, San Diego and now NYC. I couldn't stand the deadskins, and now hate the Jets because of the overwrought local media attention. I am still apathetic to the Giants and though the Bills have been struggling, I couldn't root for any other team.

Don't think the NFL realizes the loyalty Bills fans have.

  5. Probably a separate thread, but something the NFL fails to understand how wide spread Bills fans are and how soon they will lose me as a fan if the Bills move.

As a former Buffalo resident and still Bills and Sabres fan who usually gets back for at least 1 game a year, I have lived in DC/Virginia, California, and the NYC suburbs, yet still follow only those two teams. Would love to know how widespread Bills mafia is.

P.S. A shoutout to Grevy's in Falls Church VA, Charlie the Butcher and CJ Nickels in Springfield where I watched quite a few playoffs runs... Goodwin, you missed a good reason to be a Bills fan.

  6. What a terrific plan! I will volunteer you as the streaker for every game you're not in jail the first season. I hope you've been staying in shape. It wouldn't be fair to the rest of the crowd if you're not taking care of yourself. Unless, of course, you're of the Chris Farley mold, and then this could be even more entertaining.

But, ummm, (slightly) more seriously, I hope there's some magic font I'm missing or you've just been over-served for the evening.

Gotta paint Toronto Sucks on your buttocks if you are going to do this.

  7. Of more interest especially after watching all those young guys from down south who have no clue on how to hold on to the ball in bad weather. Not sure this helps the bills, but Stevie has been here, Woods seems to have a good pair of hands and the young posession receiver the Bills signed as a free agent may give the Bills a step up. Neither the Jets receivers could hold on to the ball last night nor the Patriots. The Jests had more issues because Gino had trouble hitting the broad side of a barn last night, but the Patriot receivers were downright awful except Edelman.
