  1. This team has been gifted with way above average LBs throughout the years.

Did you know Paul McGuire was actually listed as a LB, not a Punter???

There was Mike Stratton, Stew Barber, Harry Jacobs in the AFL days; John Skorpan (but the D at the time was real do-do);Jim Haslett and Shane Nelson (Bermuda Triangle fame); my Mom loved Eugene Marve and Lucius Sanford; Daryl Talley was heart and sole during ther SB run; Shane Conlan was prttty darned good; Bryce Paup and Chris Speilman were Pro-Bowlers, Free Agents, but pro-bowlers.

Marty Shotenheimer couldn't make it in Buffalo because of all the LBs we had. OK, maybe he wasn't the greatest LB either.

My point: this club has had a history of pretty darn good LBs.

  2. If Lindell's leash were that short, the coaches/front office would have had some competant competation in here at the start of training camp.

Td is a little to mixed up between stats and intangibles. When ever anyone asks about him, we always hear about his great stats.

I like what Vincent said about stats: "stats are for loosers, its all about the wins column". Yea, Lindell did help win last weeks game, but the season is young.

As a side, they brought in three PKs last week to try out, and Lindell is still here.

  3. BOE,

I followed you. I hope you don't mind.

IMHO, I think really the only place that weather and environment becomes a factor is Mile High Stadium, Denver.

The players not used to the thin air become oxygen deprived and the kicks sail further.

As far as heat and humidity goes, McGahee, Moulds, grew up down there and spend their off season conditioning down there. They should have some pointers if the players are concerned about playing in those conditions.
