  1. For some reason, I still remember that game at Kansas City a few years back, the one that went to overtime. Lindell nailed something like a 50-yarder, which I think would have won it (can't remember for sure), but the Chiefs called timeout before he kicked it. He then proceeded to shank the follow-up. Damn, that ticked me off.

Nevertheless, classy guy, a great kicker, and a real professional. Glad he was a Buffalo Bill.

I remember that game too. Remember he took a huge divot out of the grass when he hit the first, and they stupidly spotted the ball in the exact HOLE that the first kick was in. It was probably 3 inches deeper on the second kick. I remember the NFL network pointing that out.

  2. I would carry TWO kickers, one for accuracy(FG's) and one for distance (kickoff touchbacks).

Agree. although his kickoffs may not be as strong as Hopkins, they were NEVER a liability to the team. Lack of KO coverage needed should free up a special teamer spot that can now be used to keep him as the primary FG kicker. Those two December home games and Pats in NE on 12/29 need more than a big leg, needs someone who can kick in the snow, cold, and wind. Lindell's leg strength is decent. But with our crappy defense over the past several years, any miss outside 40 yards was often converted to opponent scores. Improve the defense and you can take longer FG shots. I would have liked to have seen him break Christie's mark...deserved in the crappiest era of Bills football. At least someone would go up on the wall from the 2000-2012 decade. Right now, the leading candidate is the security guard that Lee Evans took out with his touchdown catch.

  3. Lindell's track record is a heck of a lot better than Chan, and every other coach the team has had. He is having a great year, and is inside 50 points from breaking the all-time scoring record for the team. Nothing but solid. 1000% chance if he goes, he follows in the steps of Fletcher as a misplaced decision instead of looking at the real (simple) problems...second rate QB, coach, and owner. Yeah, it's that simple.

  4. More fitting, an article could (and will eventually) read "Few reasons to be optimistic about the Buffalo News". Tired, old, outdated piece of crap paper written by old, tired, bitter guys. Reality is their audience is old and dwindling. Since people can get their info anywhere, anyplace, anytime, the entire paper must rely on negativity to at least HOPE someone says "did you read hackity hack's opinion piece?"...and the numbers dont lie...not many people are reading it.

To all the people who sipped kool aid...you missed a hell of a pre-season game last night. Get your heads back on straight Bills fans...are you "in" or "out". Geezus--its team!

  5. Show the highlight of Maybin earlier getting pushed with one hand and "slipping" to the ground helplessly flailing his arms.

When Maybin puts back on the mysterious 30 pounds he gained in that two month period in January-March 2009 maybe he will indeed be something. "Can't put on weight"...myass.

  6. From the Broncos website:

DENVER -- Defensive Coordinator Dennis Allen has been working to change the mindset of the Broncos defense since he took over.

Saturday night against the Buffalo Bills, that new, aggressive mentality was on full display. The first-team unit set the tone for the night, swarming to the ball, playing with a physical edge and ultimately allowing just a field goal and 90 yards of total offense in a half of play against the Bills' starters.

    I can't wait til 12/24...payback will be a b!#(h

  7. In an odd sort of way, maybe its exactly what the BILLS needed.

Denver looked like the old Raiders out there. For whatever reason, they incredibly amped up, physical to the point that every play guys were blitzing, every pass had a guy all over a receiver (some early)...and they were overly aggressive and taunting to a level I never saw in a pre season game. Whatever the reason (MaGahee and Haggan two former Bills...), the Bills better respond on 12/24 in Buffalo when it counts by ruining a few bronco fan/coaches/players Christmas holidays.

Fitz, the o line, and secondary all get an F in this one.

Fred jackson and Steve Johnson get props for showing heart and not backing down.

  8. Maybin is:

    1. 35 pounds too light to play DE

    2. Not very fast.

    3. Physically weak. He gets literally thrown, tossed, pushed, shoved on EVERY play.

    4. Not very creative. He goes wide every time. He is 3 seconds behind the play.

    5. a "pile jumper" on tackles....and again always late.

    6. Not liked or respected by teammates. Probably speaks to his immaturity and lack of smarts.

He already robbed Ralph and he will not and is not getting better. Cut losses now. There are already better guys for the roster. Complete bust.

That will go down as BY FAR the worst draft pick in round 1 Bills history.

  9. The play wherre Brady went deep to Moss showed classic Maybin. He could not penetrate one inch against the O tackle. He turned his back to him- actually tried to BACK INTO HIM. Got his helmet knocked off his graffiti laden dome, spun to nowhere...

Physically, he is not cutting it...but I dont even think the guy "gets it".

Hey, but they won the coveted Marconi award! How bad could they be??

Yeah- I love that commercial too...it's almost 2011 and they are still pimping an award won in 2009. what's next? promoting they won Artvoice's 1987 first place for "best pepperoni pizza?"

  11. I liked McDaniels running around, pumping his fists after the game. Great to see a coach showing emotion like that. Wish we had someone like that.

Amen to that. That guy had more energy, spirit, and passion AFTER the game than DJ has before and during. Way to wins the hearts of your fans...and those of us that hate the Pats. That was cool.

  12. Both deep passes to Owens were terrible....

The second one was long but it is in the air long enough for Owens to get under it. the first one - all Owens needs to do is look up an make an adjustment- no different than a centerfielder on a fly ball...less for the defender who Owens was afraid would pop him. Please...at $6.5M per year...the guy needs to make a better effort than that.
