  1. Well said, Jack. The concourses are one issue. What about a renovation of the upper deck. Can a fan truly say they're comfortable sitting up there? They are benches with no room to stretch or get comfortable in. I've been to the newer parks in Pittsburgh and DC...plenty of room and modern amenities. The harsh reality is that RWS is not that great a venue and that it can't compete with the other stadiums. It's major renovation time...or sayonara, baby!

  2. Bentley was on Sirius today. One thing's for sure is that he won't be back with the Saints, since he didn't like the direction of the team. Pat Kirwan hinted at the angle for Bentley to play for "any ex coaches" out there. Could he wind up in St. Louis, where Haslett is? He wants to get paid...don't rule out the Cardinals. Denny Green would cough up the coin for him. A great interview on Sirius, as per usual!

  3. Good point by sullim. Like it a lot. Empower the security at the ticket taking entrances to use their judgment to determine if someone should enter if there's a suspicion of being drunk. Plus, limiting beer sales and being on top of poor fan behavior BEFORE it starts and it would almost be a pleasurable experience to go to a game again. (Nothing like hearing the "c-word" desribing a Buffalo Jill, or, God forbid if you rooted for the other team!)

The excuse of "Buffalo shouldn't host night games" is a lame one at that. If security was doing their job enforcing all the b.s that goes on in the parking lots BEFORE the games and using the previously mentioned idea, then you wouldn't have fans thinking that they're T.O. (drawing attention to themselves for boorish behavior.)

  4. Simple observation folks...the game's won in the trenches. Look at the successful teams and see how their o-line and d-lines stack up...the Bills better have have their eyes on D'Brickshaw Ferguson (OT from Va.) or the Winston tackle from "The U." Tom Ashowrth from the Pats may be had (another raid of the Pats for Donahoe?) Or, on defense, the sack machine Dumervil from Lousiville. Or, a DT that could be had who's unrestricted is Larry Triplett from the Colts. ANY of these guys would be an upgrade over the current lot on the roster!

  5. Your only half right, but that makes your point all the more relevent.

He has an at least marginally worse RB, and significantly worse receivers. So what does he have? A better offensive line - ok, not unexpected - and better coaching.

Let me say it again, since you won't hear it from the front office:

You have to conclude - at least so far - that there may be a weakness here on the coaching side of things.

Fair point on the coaching and line...I'd take Jones over McGahee. Mularkey's "questioning" of Willis makes me think he's wondering about the RB's mental toughness, something you don't worry about with Julius.

Yes, the Bills may have more flash at the receiver spot, but Glenn, MeSahwn and Peerless are what they are...good pass catchers who get open when Drew needs them to. They have a diamond in the rough w/Crayton, the youngster.

    Peace!

  6. If you want "real" football talk, without the "shtick" and crap that regular sports radio brings, then give Sirius a try. Channel 124 seems to have knowledgable hosts and analysts who actually played and coached the game and do a hell of a job covering all teams.

BTW...Sirius was at Bills camp recently and had a ton of guests...apparently something the mighty GR can't seem to get!
