Dude got his surgically repaired knee rolled up on. That isn’t injury prone if he was walking it off.
Might be a blessing in disguise that gets him over the mental hump.
Hmm...again?

Hope he wasn't the plan this year...

Might be a time to look elsewhere. Doyle is injury prone

So should the 6th rounders in 2024 be better than the 6th rounders this year?

Klein is better than Dodson and has shown to be able to play both LB spots in a pinch. Beane has probably realized McDermott screwed him by recommending Bernard. Now he needs insurance if they cant get the MLB they want in the draft or it allows Beane to package some of his draft picks to move up and get the player he wants. He knows he needs MLB, WR, and OT in this draft but if he is targeting a certain player WR or Robinson perhaps he likely will have to give up one of his Day 2 picks to move up.
How do you know McD picked Bernard, maybe our "scouts" and Leslie were the ones who cried for the guy.

I think that’s an oversimplification of a really nuanced situation.
the Bills team went through a more tumultuous season then any I can remember, along with an incredibly grueling schedule as well. The team looked like they lost steam after the hot start in the wild card game, and that obviously carried over to the Bengals game. The coaches impact in two ways - 1) mid week prep and coordination and 2)in game management. I personally put a lot more weight into mid week prep than I do the in game impact a coach makes.
how many times do you see a coach bring the entire team together to address a situation in game? That’s a halftime closed door situation usually. But I haven’t seen it happen on the sideline. If you do see sideline conversations happening, it’s usually the team captains.
frankly, this team really struggled with execution throughout the entire season. You could point to a LOT of execution breakdowns that were huge, and the bengals game was a culmination of those errors and struggles. I don’t blame the coaches all that much for our struggles in that game, I blame the players who were likely exhausted and strained from a long long season
Strained from a long season? Did they play more than everyone else? The defense had no clue how to play the passing game other than let them catch it and tackle quickly. They exposed our defensive liabilities. Tired? Lmao it's football sweetcheeks.

Here's to hoping Hopkins and OBJ stay away! Give money to mid tier guys who just need a chance. Then guys who are just collecting at the end of their career.

Omfg did anyone watch this guy? He was poor in protection and got ran over or missed tackles...alot.

There may be some changes that need to be made & for the most part there are every year in the coaching ranks, scouting, & players but it seems that you feel the draft has sucked since Beane & McD have been here .
Tre White, Dion Dawkins, Matt Millano, Josh Allen, Tremaine Edmunds, Harrison Phillips, Taron Johnson, Siran Neal, Ed Oliver,Devin Singletary, Dawson Knox, Jaquan Johnson, Sweeney, AJ, Gabe, Bass, Isaiah Hodgins, Dane Jackson, Rousseau, Boogie, & so on .
Sure they have had some misses Nathen Petermen comes to mind along with some others but i think the scouting department although this is not a list of HOF players they don't out & out suck & have helped this team go from a perennial bottom feeder to being in the play offs every year since Beane & McD got here .
Some players that they have drafted have went on to do very well with other teams so although yes the Bills need to do better I'm thinking from what they were to why they are isn't as terrible as some make it out to be .
Wow that's alot of quality after the first 5

First, you’re assuming it’s the scouts doing a bad job and not the GM and those around him ignoring them and just choosing who they want. Yes that does happen.
Your D was 4th overall and 8th in scoring D. So while people are screaming for change here the stats don’t show it and who will you get that’s better?
Your O is Elite but to reliant on Allen.
Defense was great in first half because offense was outstanding and teams tried to play catch up. But when white and Miller went down we became easy prey for the good teams. We couldn't beat Bengals and wouldn't have won against Kc.

Taking a totally irrelevant franchise for nearly two decades to the playoffs 5 out of 6 years, and legit super bowl contenders for the last 3.
HEADS MUST ROLL!!!!!
Sarcasm noted, our drafts are mediocre at best and if Allen went down we would be toast. You think Keenum could keep it up? He is the epitome of a clipboard guy.
-
So at this point the only coaching change is a safeties coach that held his position together with tape and glue. Is it about accountability or familiarity for the Bills. The same can be said with our scouts missing on draft picks. Our Defense was reliant on the offense scoring which put other teams in catch up mode. We cannot survive with an offense that needed josh to scramble or throw 50 yard bombs twice a game. Thoughts?

They tried blitzing. Joe Burrow hits the hot route before the blitz gets there.
Then it's scheme and the dbs get tighter for coverage to offset that
11 minutes ago, schoolhouserock said:The folks asking questions kept referring to Cincinnati’s WRs, which I thought was the wrong approach. It was the questioning that elicited such responses from Beane. Given the line of questioning, I think folks are making a mountain out of this molehill.
More focus should have been placed on the performance of Cincinnati’s offensive line. That, to me, gets to the heart of what is wrong.
All of McBeane have ALWAYS stated that they build from the lines out. For the backup O-line of Cincinnati to perform so well is a devastating indictment of the Bills’ approach both offensively and defensively.
The questions should have centered around how do the Bills implement a system where any version of their O-line can perform like Cincinnati’s did in that game. Beane could not assign “lean years” as a reason in his answer. Cincinnati’s O-line was a mess last off-season. They have improved greatly in that area. They invested in their O-line, yes. However, their play after so many injuries suggests that there is something more to that unit’s turnaround. I don’t know what it is, but I hope the Bills can get it.
Coaching for the neccessary scheme and talent assessment.

Beane is a quality excuse maker. I get it. But in reality, development time is over. Upgrade S. Brown, D Jackson, I Mckenzie, Epenesa, Hart (can't believe he is even on the roster), Keenum, have the db's and Oline. It's not about he's a good guy...it's about championships. Think Belichick wants friends or titles, how did that work for them.

I've gotta give 'em a pass on that. They're human beings. Buffalo has been to hell & back over the past year.
Ya, one and done...but your tired. Poor things. The hell with the playoffs if they need more sleep. Saffold needs to go. Along with the right side.of the line and anyone not on a rookie contract for d line

I trust McDermott as a CEO type and he's improved (the last two weeks notwithstanding) in his aggressiveness and gameday decision-making from year-to-year. I don't want to see us cut bait and end up with a clear downgrade, which, let's be real, is the most likely scenario should McDermott get the axe (he won't so this conversation is moot anyway).
I'm kind of torn on Frazier. It's easy to B word and moan about the 3rd and longs we've given up at times this season, but most of those had decent coverage and our corners just made lousy plays on the ball. Yesterday was different in that he had guys running free all over the field, but we were playing with our hands tied behind our backs due to the injuries up front and in the secondary. Trust me, I won't cry if he's let go, but I'm pretty confident that just replacing him with anyone isn't a good idea. It needs to be a clear upgrade - an innovative and aggressive defensive playcaller.
I want Dorsey gone. Other than serving as Josh's QB coach, he didn't have a resume worthy of being handed the reins to a SB contending offense. Our offense under Dorsey may have generally been a continuation of Daboll's Erhardt/Perkins scheme, but at least Daboll would come up with some imaginative wrinkles to get guys in space for some easy yardage when we were really struggling. We saw nothing of that from Dorsey. Just drop Josh back and have him hold the ball forever and wait for guys to run open. Not a recipe for success behind a struggling offensive line in December/January weather. Either roll the dice on a young imaginative guy with real upside or hire a veteran OC that can rein in Josh's worse tendencies. Continuity and "process" failed us here.
Fraziers issue is scheme. He's got one and they were exposed with a qb that looks them off. Lbs and dbs look at eyes (Milano being the exception). His zone prevents the need for excellent dbs. It allows for yardage to be chewed up and stiffen up in red zone. Poor tackling is his moniker. He is fundamentals poor.
2 hours ago, DuckyBoys said:Problem is nothing will change McDermott is not going to suddenly switch to aggressive style of defense Je's going to continue to play mediocre known talent instead of giving young guys a shot They will continue to value "process" guys. Beane will continue to suck at drafting in the early rounds They will keep the nepotism going and bring back retreads and the Carolina connection We wont address the O line and they will continue to overpay guys they drafted even if they are just mediocre Wait till they franchise tag Edmunds He will make terrible in game decisions and continue to blunder through time outs and challenges Nothing going to change We'll whoop up on clown teams and Josh will win a few games on his own we should have lost Playoffs will come and soon as we play the big boy teams we'll get embarrassed again
Edmunds wants out to play strong side lb not mlb

The weatherman lives in fantasy land . Their second team online is killing our starters. Their dbs are stopping and tackling and their dline is in Josh's face. So how does that equal us being more talented. Cuz Romo said so
