  1. obviously i couldnt disagree more

the only thing i can say that actually appears to have improved is actual legit border screening. but what that bc of dons great vision or just the next logical step after the stunning, destructive, and embarrassing defeat of his ill concieved muslim ban?

id also have to give him grudging support for the missile strikes, but i thought that was appropriate last time too when congress should have approved it - republicans then opting instead of course for another just say no moment. so kudos for don not following rules there but how much credit does he really deserve? and how does he handle the ultra delicate situation hes inflamed now?

only time will tell if he botched it or he has some great vision thats only beginning to emerge. i think i know which way that question will go

  2. no matter how annoyed vlad is at dons little temper missile slappy fight, its a far cry from having arch villain hillary and her huge black penis staring him down

hillary is indeed a confirmed lying cheating fraud, she would never get my vote until she atoned and then it would still only be maybe. yet right now theres really no contest she would be far far faaaaaaaaar better equipped experience, wisdom, and temperament wise than this lie infested jester of a self consciousness driven flaming dung pile of a man

  3. i dont think theres any doubt don is putins stooge so far. kinda comical anyone could see it any different. hes been an abject failure so far, rendered moot. imagine that, an american president with total congressional monopoly, and the best hes done so far is bomb syria unilaterally

    stooge with a capital ooge

  4. with all due respect to that well written article, it sounds to me like hes clearly expressing an opinion that drastically skews his overall message

after setting his premise in paragraph one regarding the invalidity of the 'liberal' idea that gerrymandering is harming the functioning of the legislature, he immediately contradicts himself in the second paragraph by pointing out the the 17% swing gerrymandering is 'too much'

hell the fk yeah 17% is too much! that would swing the majority of high level elections, congressional seats included. he blows by it like its slightly too much when its actually way the fk over the line of too much

and when we look at why the fk its what the hell over the line its bc of this crazy intentionally manipulative misrepresentation of the electorate for political reasons, it should actually be illegal. but guess who makes the laws governing that behavior?

so no, im not a liberal, i complained about it when the dems did it, now im disgusted that the republicans have upped that ante and turned it into a black art, no offense to my negroes

    one word: computer generated districts

  5. Assuming what I'm hearing is true and that runway is still operational then do you guys think this was nothing more than a PR campaign for Trump?

as much as i dont like don i have to admit that if the intelligence is strong that it actually was assad that dropped the chems then a response like that was appropriate. assad was obviously testing don and the world, like hes done before, and after all weve been through with him and chem weapons he deserved that smack on the noggin

but it was obviously just a glancing blow on the back of his head. they destroyed a bunch of buildings and some limited number of planes, leaving a lot of that site unscathed. that had to be on purpose

maybe the chance to flex his muscles and build some kind of PR rep was a beneficial byproduct in dons eyes, but he had a legitimate reason to order the strike. so no, not a PR campaign, but he does get some of that benefit by default here

  6. Watching the video I think I could have made those plays against those lineman. Against Real NFL talent the guy will be unnoticeable

i was thinking that too. he made that one blocker whiff so bad he flopped himself to the ground. i was thinking thats impressive but would never happen in the nfl

cool guy to really root for in training camp but id place the odds at about two pcent he makes the team

  7. Buffalo Bills sign DE Jake Metz, 2016 AFL Defensive Player of the Year

The Buffalo Bills have dipped into the (China) Arena Football League to add to their roster, signing DE Jake Metz on Friday.
Metz, 26, went undrafted in 2014 out of Shippensburg. He’s nearly 6’6” and 265 pounds. At the Villanova pro day that year, Metz didn’t have an impressive workout, running a 4.99 in the 40 and being clocked at 4.91 in the short shuttle and 7.31 in the three-cone drill.
In college, Metz was incredibly productive, notching 55 tackles for loss and 30.5 sacks in four seasons.
In August of 2016, Metz was named the AFL’s Defensive Player of the Year after leading the league with eight sacks. That led to him being signed by the Eagles in late August, but his time with Philadelphia was short lived. He was released on September 3.
He spent the 2016 season playing for Qingdao Clipper of the China Arena Football League.
raise your hand if you knew there was an arena football team in china
  8. lmao. ive always been amazed how anal this site is about jamming everything into similar threads like some kind of obsessive compulsive fixation

so we are talking about truthfulness and i add in the truthfulness question about one of the most dramatic events weve had in years with the dons missile strike, and somehow thats hijacking?

if anyone ever wonders why i generally ignore your arcane rules regarding posting this would be exhibit a

  9. the flaw in your logic, Meathead is that Assad is on the verge of winning the civil war within his state. and if that is so, why in the world would he risk everything at this stage for a reputation that he already has? the sum total of the parts just don't add up to what is being portrayed.

a fair caveat. however, he also has to rule over his fractured country once the dust settles. he also has to continue to partner with states that dont really give two craps about his using chemical weapons. there is some risk for him but its still got more potential to help him hold power long term

even this response by don was relatively feeble. reports are that the airstrip, most of the warplanes, and even the parking lots were left intact. it was obviously mostly a symbolic gesture. im not sure how much dissuasive force this missile attack actually delivers. assad remains mostly unscathed

unless of course the world coalesced around this issue and seriously decided to push him out. but so far we have abjectly decided not to do that, very weakly in fact. so for now he appears pretty safe to bolster his reputation as he prepares to rule his post-civil war country with as iron a fist as possible

Speaking of logic, if he had this brutal reputation why did they try to overthrow him?

    really?

thats exactly why they tried. well that, and the fact that middle eastern muslims seem to like warring as much as we like pro sports

to me it seemed obvious that gassing the last remaining resistance to his power was an blindingly overt power play on his part to punish and terrorize those who stand against him, present and future

  10. i thought obama was generally honest, which made his whopper about keeping your doctor all the more disturbing. i think all presidents have to lie sometimes bc the job is so complicated. but he did a grave disservice to himself and the country by telling such an openly obvious lie about his health care plan. we all know why he did it, to generate support for it, but it was so easily debunked (immediately by some of us, eventually by all of us) that it hurt his credibility

don, otoh, lies like its his job. or perhaps even worse, he might actually believe the garbage he profusely unloads on a regular basis. don obviously lives in a different world not tied down by facts or rational observation

as we sit here and wait for this irrefutable evidence of assads fingerprints on the chemical attack i cant help but wonder if don has done it again. if they can indeed link assad directly to the chemical use then i would say the missile strike was a necessary and good idea simply to provide a psychological limiter to assads power. if this was a rash impetuous decision by don, well that would be utterly disastrous. im assuming, btw, that the evidence is sound. but i recall assuming no president would ever invade a country without evidence of yellowcake acquisition by saddam being sound as well, so my own naivety on that assumption keeps me from being as confident this time around

  11. Here we go with the name calling. I'll let it go.

You simply can't compare the two situations. If Syria did indeed gas their people in 2013 they most likely dud it out of desperation. They were on the ropes back then. I'm not condoning it, just stating the obvious.

This week's attack was under far different circumstances. Assad was on the cusp of victory.

i dont think saying youre naive is name calling. you said something akin to 'unless assad is running out of ammo this doesnt make sense.' you are putting all your focus on tactical battlefield issues and completely ignoring the political advantages, which is indeed naive

assad is a dictator. he wins by remaining brutal enough to scare the fk out of anybody who challenges him. he also wins by making his allies happy, who help him stay in power via their own wilingness to engage in ruthless brutality and suppressing any dissonance

whatever he loses as the result of one missile strike against him is minimal. what he gains is all the power and influence being brutal and ruthless give him. and he got to test how far he can push things under dons watch. its almost all upside for him and as long as he doesnt do it again in the relatively near future there is very little downside

its an old formula. anyone who ignores it is indeed naive

  12. And what purpose does that fill? How do they benefit? They have everything to lose and nothing to gain unless he was running out of ammunition and weapons.

you must be rather young to be this naive

i already told you exactly why they did it - it was a test of the new american regime. he did the same exact thing to obama. assad wins no matter what, some scenarios more than others, but he wins regardless

you will notice he will only do this once. just like last time. he collects the benefit, deals with whatever relatively minor fallout there is, and boosts his standing among the states he cares about. doesnt hurt that hes reinforced his reputation as brutally ruthless, either. he is after all an evil dictator

  13. So let me get this straight. Assad was on the verge of victory and decided to use chemical weapons because he thought Trump would do nothing about it? That's what we're buying? So after four years of not using them he decided to use them now? Smells fishy to me.

im surprised nobody has said this so far, but this was obviously a test by assad to see what he could get away with against a new american regime. assad loses very little and gains a lot (mostly from iran and its surrogates) with this gambit. at worst they get their hand slapped, at best assad gains a ton of prominence within the rogue states. now that don has responded, as long as assad doesnt launch another chemical attack his downside from this point forward is limited. and while he technically lost on this gambit, his thumbing his nose at the international community and don in particular will gain him some influence among the states he cares about

  14. Politico tells us that there’s an escalating “civil war” between Trump loyalists and establishment Republicans throughout the federal government, “and increasingly the president’s allies are losing.” At this point in the administration, one former campaign aide is quoted saying, “it is very obvious that no one cares what happens to the people who worked for the campaign or who have loyalty to the president.”
The political situation in America is still perilous, but there is finally a tiny crack of light in the black cloud hanging over Washington, D.C. We might be seeing the berserk horror of Trumpism giving way to the slightly lesser horror of normal conservatism.
Things are, of course, still bad. Nunes’ replacement on the Russia probe is Mike Conaway, a Texas Republican who compared the Russia scandal to Democrats using Mexican entertainers at campaign events, since both involve “foreign people” influencing the vote. Several of the figures gaining the upper hand in the administration are ambitious plutocrats rather than fascist weirdos, which is an improvement if not exactly a cause for celebration. All the same, we can take a tiny bit of comfort in realizing that Trump has been unable to suspend all the norms governing American political life.
The House investigation into the Russia scandal will now proceed, and while other Republicans will surely be tempted to cover for Trump, Nunes, in his disgrace, will serve as a warning against blatantly breaking rules on the president’s behalf. Meanwhile, if Bannon’s fortunes continue to decline, so will a certain sinister mystique that’s surrounded the administration, a sense that it can create its own reality and act with impunity. With Jared, Ivanka, and former Goldman Sachs executives Dina Powell and Gary Cohn forming a socially moderate but powerful faction inside the White House, it must sting for Bannon to realize that after all he did to elect Trump, the globalist cucks are suddenly ascendant.
