  1. I thought I heard a few weeks ago several interviews where Jim Kelly said he has a group ready to purchase and keep the team in Buffalo once the opportunity arises. Granted nothing is guaranteed.

It's certainly a catch 22. My hopes are there is some smoke to the Kelly fire. Don't know why he would leak these statements without some confidence.

Just think that everything trickles down from Ralph. Nothing good has happened since Polian left.

  2. Hard Knocks consistently impresses, but don't let HBO producers' abilities to romanticize everything make Rex out to be a great guy. He's that obnoxious uncle everyone has, just a mess, no self-control, indulges in everything, speaks with no class, fun to have around for 15 minutes, everyone talks about what a waste he is when they walk away.

I completely agree how he has been a catalyst for the Revis holdout. . .him going on ESPN over the past two weeks telling everyone that Revis is the BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER EVER cant possibly be helping the organization. . .if **** hits the fan with this revis situation, it will definitely come back to his fat ass.

As for the show, AWESOME. I'll be tuning in every week. They even make Sanchez look good. How many years before HBO hooks up with our guys?

I don't know. I kind of buy in to the fact the players like Rex Ryan. He's lound and abrasive but the players seem to like that. Beating a dead horse here but it was rough for me watching that last night. Just kept thinking, they have him and we have Chan Gailey.

Chan is coming off as this tough guy, take no prisoners, etc. I get the fans digging this attitude after Jauron. But frankly, it's still Chan Gailey. Hope I'm wrong but it would be a surprise if the results are THAT much different. The Bills have a tough enough time as is bringing in free agents. Instead of hiring old retreads, I wish Ralph would take a chance on younger, energetic guy like Ryan.

  3. The guy has to accomplish something before he's allowed to have a good time?

Give the guy a break....he's played one whole season, after missing most of training camp.

Listen, I'm all for the guy having a good time. But does he really need to broadcast it? Just seems a little stupid considering this season's results. It's just really careless.

  4. This team has not made the playoffs in a decade. How much patience does the organization expect? Frankly I'm guessing most of us cannot put up with it much longer.

If this team ends up going less than 8-8, maybe 7-9, it will be tough to see them bring back such an underwelming hire. GM included.

5+ more years of futility is going to impossible to handle.

  5. I felt numb after they retained Dick Jauron. THe feeling hasn't changed since then.

Pretty much agree with you. When they hired Dick Jauron I was shocked. Shocked as in how could a professional sports team make such an obvious terrible, terrible hire. Stupid me thought may be this time would be different. Get online today and see Chan Gailey. Yet another amazingly pathetic move. Just dumbfounded. People get paid to make these decisions? It's just unbelievable really.

  6. The Bills are said to be impressed with how Gailey has brought teams to the playoffs with quarterbacks such as Mike Tomczak, Kordell Stewart and Jay Fiedler. In fact, Bill Cowher -- whom the Bills had been courting to replace the fired Dick Jauron -- highly recommended Gailey to the Bills.

    So is this 1997?

I hate this news on so many levels. What a GD joke.

  7. Just when you thought things could not get more depressing. It seems like every decent head coaching candidate (at least based on media reports) say no. Still no signs of signing a GM.

And now Charlie Weis? Typical. A fat arrogant coach who was a complete failure with Notre Dame. Don't give me the Notre Dame excuses. Academic restrictions? Stanford and Georgia Tech finished in the Top 20. Both are just as tough, if not better. USC is not a bad either. They have no issues recruiting. His play calling was questionable and defenses were awful. In terms of his New England tenure, did they skip a beat when he left? Not really?

Let's think of this so-called Belichick coaching tree. Romeo Crennel? Epic failure. Eric Mangini. Failure. Todd Haley? May be to close to call but the Chiefs were a pretty bad team. The only decent guy from that tree right now is Josh McDaniels.

After Weis we hear about Mike Martz? Crennel? Weis, Fassel, Dennis Green??:wallbash::wallbash:

Hopefully someone in that Front Office is discussing Grimm or Zimmer. Those two seem like there is a least potential there.
