1. ...than Kelly Holcomb at this point as our starting QB? I mean look at the KC game. If Kelly doesn't get hurt do we win that game? No. I don't think KH could have played any better than Losman did in the Phins game. It wasn't JP's fault the defense caved in the 4th quarter. When Losman has time he is very accurate with the ball. All Kelly will do is dink & dunk his way down the field. I really don't want MM back next year. He'll screw up the head of any young QB that comes here.  :o

just because losman played out of his mind in that kc game does not mean that he is better then holcomb. manning and brady probably would not have brought them back. chit,if you put losman in that same situation again,he would probably throw 2 pics. ---

i certainly think that holcomb could have played as good as jp in the dolphin game. jp did NOTHING after the first quarter. kelly is just more consistent. do you think that jp could have done as good as holcomb did up in new england where the bills nearly pulled it out??? i think not.

  2. I gave him hell for that one too.

You don't ask your mealticket to stick his face in the blender at that point whether he's dinged up or not. OF course, that may have been Brady's call and not Belichik's.

you sound like you should be on the buf coaching staff. that type of scared mentality is what seperates the winners from losers. i cant stand scared football. the ppl that go,what IF this happens,or,what IF that happens. toughen up and grow a sack. it was the correct call.

  3. OK I'll play along: lets just pretend like bad teams don't find ways to lose games.

The only game we lost where we "outplayed" our opponents was the NE game.  Carolina & Miami were close, but we didn't deserve to win them.  On the flip side we're fortunate to have played a super soft home schedule, and fortunate that Miami set a franchise record for penalties and 6 turnovers back in October.

I wouldn't be shocked if we won Sunday, but only because the game doesn't mean squat for the Pats.

pats beat themselves in the first half of that bills first game in foxboro. pats receivers keep dropping wide open 3rd down passes and were forced to punt.it had notihing to do with the bills playing great defense or anything.it was the pats being there own worst enemy.ALSO factor in the patrick pass PHANTOM FUMBLE in the first half.

in the second half of that game when the pats said enough was enough, you then seen the true disparity of those teams, and the pats went on to manhandle buffalo from then on.

EDIT---i actually meant to quote,tc in stlouis and not bufforange.

  4. I wonder what the Pats ratings are when a Red Sox game is on against them?  Probably not very high.

    PTR

    506368

not true at all actually. weei(boston radio) usually has ratings after the games and i cannot recall the last time the sox had a higher rating then the pats when they have been on at the same time.and that includes pats against redsox vs yankee games on at the same time. and it also includes a redsox elimination PLAYOFF game.pats had a higher rating then the sox when they(sox) were down 0-2 to the athletics in a best of 5 playoff series.it was game 3 in fenway, and the pats were playing a regular season game vs the titans at foxboro at the same time. i remember the pats won the ratings battle by quite a bit to on that day. im not that surprised though. watching baseball(even playoff baseball) is about as exciting as watching 2 fat ppl have sex.

  5. atleast with eli you can see potential. even during eli's first 4 starts you can see him making some really good plays. you an tell he had IT.or should i say,you can see IT coming/developing.

i can just tell that losman is garbage.the guy should not be in the nfl period. he has zero qb skills and will go down as one of the worst first round buf picks ever. i see nothing from this guy that says different. believe me, all i needed was 4 games to see the most OBVIOUS. this guy does not have it.

  6. How do we get three? The almighty Teddy Bruschi is coming back next week. I am calling this one "The Halloween Massacre" right now. Dillon will run for 200+ yards and Brady will kill us with his short dump passes all night long. It will be way over by halftime.

The only chance the Bills have? We need DITKA!

If we had DITKA, it would be Da Bills 109 Pats -8

    483787

nah,i think brady and the boys will beat them by adding on to there league leading 20+ yard passes completed total.

  7. If he dies during a game imagine all the heat the Pats and Krafts are going to get. What does he need to play for? Family man my ass.

Mommy why dont we have a daddy anymore? Well he wanted to play football more than be a daddy honey.

ppl ppl ppl, football is NOT what caused the MINOR stroke. it had nothing to do with football in the first place.it had nothing to do with his head either.the hole(s) in his heart are completely fixed/healed. if he does have another stroke,it wont be from football. ppl need a clue.. every top notch doctor he seen has cleared him,and they say he coud have another stroke, but not from football.football does not cause them(lol @some ppl here).he also has his wifes blessing btw.

i think ppl here are a little bit scared that the bills most likely have to face the pats with a healthy gay, poole, seymour and bruschi in 2 weeks huh. that = blowout.

  8. Dumbest Man on the Planet?

    476553

according to ppl closest to him,he has recovered much quicker then expected. he also did not have a major stroke. he was excercising just weeks after it happened, and football is not what caused the minor stroke in the first place.his heart is healed,he's strong and ready to go. he has his wifes blessings and doctors ok. cant wait to see him pick off those buffalo garbage qb's left and right.the best iml is coming back soooooon. :(

  9. Shouldn't he have done that last year? Eventually, the only thing that will teach him is game experience.

    470864

it does not always workout like that,in fact, a lot of times it does not work like that. jp's confidence was getting shattered more and more week by week. he needs a break and to cool down. last year bledsoe played like a retarded retard.there was nothing to learn. the defense played better then drew did at managing last year, thats how they won.

and of course some guys dont get better whether they play or watch(im thinking this might be jp).

  10. The Refs handed another one to the Pats.  That blown call was huge!  Falcons had all the momentum and were moving down the field at ease.  What a fuggin horrible call

BTW Shaub is gonna be a great QB in this league

    470755

pats got screwed out of about 3 different calls that went in favor of the falcons including a phantom holding call that made getting a first down nearly impossible, hhhmmm, noticed you did not bring this up. ---anyways,if vick plays, pats win by 14 points. pats would have tested vick and his accuracy and made him throw(wich he cant).

  11. according to sources close to bb,they were gonna give drew 1-2 more games(indy, miami) to get it going right. if not, brady was gonna take over from here, regardless if the injury happens or not. drew was gonna get the hook no matter what. he(drew) was just NOT a bb type guy. brady out played db in the 01 pre-season.it was drews huge $$$ that was keeping him in the lineup(at least for a LITTLE while longer).

  12. trying to reinvent his character as Brett Favre. Shaved head, three day stubble on intros, interviewing saying he liked down home stuff, at the end of the game saying hi to Momma and Bubba. Tom is incredible, but his lack of identity is scary. Be the pretty boy we know you as Tom.

    434727

he has been saying hi mom since his first year... this was certainly not the first time that he was not clean shaven. i remember on weei(sports talk radio) in 2002,there was a lot of time spent on toms appearance because his hair was getting to long and curly and was looking like a bum off the streets.

it was just so retarded(sorta like this thread subject).he even had a beard for most of the playoffs the last few years

  13. or the amount of non calls on the patriots oline for blatant offensive holding. Brady is a good quaterback there's no denying that, but the amount of times that oline gets away with holding giving him eons to throw is just assinine

    434512

are you kidding me??? that raider o-line did more holding in that one game last night then the pats did in all of last year combined. especially robert gallery that overrated sloth. it happened more times then i can remember last night. and dont get me started on the raider receivers giving little bumps and pushoffs last night on nearly every pass attempt..but of course jealous bitter fans will see what they wanna see and say what they wanna here. (well, like you).

  14. I wouldn't mind having their O-line either as long as it came with last night's refs.

    434670

i know, tell me about it huh. how many times can moss and the rest of those receivers keep pushing off on the pats db's in one game? and how many times did the raiders o-line hold the pats d-line out of desperation?? i lost count by the 3rd quarter. im glad somebody else noticed that to

  15. Any qb would look good with that kinda time. Damn thats the difference between pretenders and SB winners. I couldnt help but put the Bills in the Pats place vs the Raiders last night and played it out in my mind how they would fare. If it were the Bills the game would be a squeaker. The Pats, afer the first half made the necessary D adjustments and controled the game the rest of the way. Our D matches up with the Pats. Our recievers and RB's  are probably better. The only difference is I dont see Losman getting that kind of time to site see back there like Brady does. Losman would probably make a couple rookie mistakes and panic a bit leading to Raider points.

    434668

there are many times when tom buys himself a extra second or two in the pocket because he moves around great in thepocket. he sides steps to his left and right to avoid pressure and/or steps up into the pocket to avoid pressure.

  16. i thaught he played very well. always seemd to pickup 6 yards on runs. if anything, C. Dillon looked HORRIBLE. he got 2 TDs so im sure espn will be waiting with knee pads on, but when the game was close, he never got more than ~2 yards on any run.

    434635

always seemed to pick up 6 yards a run???? the guy did not even average 4 yards a carry last night. what game did you watch. dillon had a very good second half.the raiders defense was geared to stop the run last night.

and for other posters.... the pats pass defense looked very good last night. they made collins MISS MORE THEN HALF HIS PASSES for cyring out loud. he had 3 td's but the last one was in garbage time after having great field position after a blocked punt.and another to moss after a throw em up pass where moss was covered quite well but made a awesome catch after a tough bobble.the guy is the greatest deep threat wide receiver of all time. i think making a qb miss more then half his passes and holding there best rb to under 4 ypc is quite well especially on week 1. ppl here say what they want to believe instead of talking fact.

  17. What has changed?

Well, our QB can move, NE lost Ty Law, both coordinators, Bruschi...just to name a few.

I like your analysis though. If we win ONE of the four games against NE and the Jets, we're 10-6. If we merely split with the Jets and Pats, we're 11-5 according to you. I'll route for your scenario right now- good call!

    429261

pats actally lost law last year and won it all without him. pats secondary is much deeper this year. bruschi is a loss, but brown and beisel were added.there not as good as bruschi, but there still good. pats replaced a real good pats coach(romeo) with another real good pats coach(mangini,db coach).

the offensive game book is the same. this is the best and deepest group of players on offense the pats had in there superbowl years right now.

bills fight to stay out of the basement with the fish, miami and buf have no qb. i think the best qb out of those 2 teams is holmcromb.i hope he stays on the bench all year.
