1. My 53 man Roster as of 8-3-11.....

    OFFENSE (25):

QB (3) Fitzpatrick, Thigpen, Smith (Smith's versatility is huge)

    RB (3) Jackson, Spiller, White

    FB (1) McIntyne

TE (3) Chandler, S. Nelson (Pistol offense doesn't have much need for a TE; vet TE K. Boss would be a nice addition in place of TE S. Nelson)

WR (6) Johnson, Evans, D. Nelson, Parrish, Easley, T. Jones (Jones is a very good ST player)

OG (3) Levitre, Urbik, Wrotto, Rheinhart (Bills like Levitre, Urbik, and Rheinhart; Wrotto can play both OG & OT so he gets the nod for now)

OT (4) Bell, Pears, Wang, Hairston (there's a big need for a vet OT addition; vet OT addition would replace Wang)

    C (2) Wood, Handgartner

    DEFENSE (25):

DE (4) Dareus, D. Edwards, Sp. Johnson, Carrington

    NT (3) Williams, Troup, Jasper

OLB (4) Merriman, Kelsay, Moats, Maybin, Batten (Moats will ultimately play OLB because he can contribute this year as a pass rusher; Maybin is better than Coleman; Batten is a young pass rusher with good size who can play OLB and ILB and contribute on ST)

ILB (4) Davis, Barnett, Sheppard, Torbor

CB (5) Florence, McKelvin, McGee, Williams, Corner

SS (4) Whitner, Searcy (I expect Bills to re-sign Whitner)

    FS (1) Byrd, Wilson

    SPECIAL TEAMS (3):

    P (1) Moorman

    K (1) Lindell

    LS (1) Sanborn

    Practice Squad (8):

QB L. Brown, RB (from another team), WR Roosevelt, OG/OT Howard, NT Heard, OLB Coleman, ILB C. White, CB Rodgers.

    Synopsis:

I expect the Bills to re-sign SS D. Whitner, add an OT (waive OT Wang and add him to the PS), and add a TE (possibly TE K. Boss, which would cause them to waive TE S. Nelson).

TE is not a high priority in the Pistol offense that Gailey runs with Fitzpatrick at QB so keeping only two TEs is not out of the question. Players on the bubble will be S. Nelson, Wrotto, Rheinhart, Wang, and Batten, but lack of high quality competition at their respective positions works in their favor.

Not a terrible roster overall if Dareus, Barnett, and Merriman stay healthy all year and contribute like they're capable of. Big needs for the future would be more beef on the D-line and O-line, a franchise QB, and a dominant run-stuffing SS.

    Your thoughts??

You included 5 OLB's and your roster only has space for 4. I dont think there is any chance they resign Whitner, Scott will keep his place on the roster and have a feeling Corto will keep a spot for special teams.

  2. Answer that question at the end of the season if we end up 6-10 then you have your answer, if we end up 10-6 and in the playoff's Jerry Gray is as good as gone.

The Falcons took the Bills game films and masterfully used it against us.  It was only a matter of time before the "aggressive" Bills D was exploited by a rival NFL coaching staff.  As the team goes, so goes Jerry Gray's reputation.  It took a minor hit on Sunday.  If the D pulls it together and plays well without Spikes then Gray will still be a hot item.

  3. Unless Holcomb can stop the run, I think he will stay on the bench.

I think Losman is the future for this team but.....I think this is the year (although with Spikes out it may be a mute point) that we have a chance to make the playoffs.  Next year we will be without Moulds, Clements and who knows who else.

I say give Holcumb a shot.  Give him the reps in practice and lets see what he can do.  If we wait till after the Saints game it may be too late from both a record and morale standpoint.

Throw Losman back in if Holcumb lays and egg.

Desperate times call for desparte measures.

  4. Am I the only one that saw this, It was an Outside the lines special on how coaches work so many hours during the season. Done entirely on the Bills, they basically followed Mularkey and Co. around last week. It was awesome. Dont have time to detail it out more now, Maybe later on.

Hope more of you caught this, those guys are doing an awesome job. Even though they are working insane hours.

  5. This may have been discussed around here, but I haven't been on here as of late.

Does anyone know if the BILLS will be wearing throwback helmets & uniforms this

Sunday against Houston, and also as to which games they'd be wearing them for ?

I was thinkin' it'd be cool if they also wore then in San Diego, while the Chargers

wore their power blues from the 60's

2 original AFL rivals and all ...

    430454

WOW...youre a little out of it.

They are wearing them this week and in an away game to be announced later.

  6. I was wondering if there are Marshalls stores, TJ Maxx, or Winners in Buffalo.  They are discount clothing stores that sell designer clothes.  I live in NJ and they are everywhere.  When I was in Montreal, I saw the same Marshalls type store under the name Winners.  I am asking because I always find Jets and Giants Jerseys there, because of where I live of course, and they are only $29.99.  They have Shockey, Manning, Pennington, Martin, Abraham, and some others.  I was wondering if you guys have them by you and also find Bills Jerseys there?

Once in a while I see other teams there.  I was estatic when I saw that they carry youth McGahee jerseys for $24.99.  I tried to fit into a youth XL.  I looked like 10 lbs of chit in a 5lb bag.  Oh well.

Marshalls and TJ Max are around in the Buffalo and Rochester area, dont know if you can find jersey's there. I know in Cleveland I picked up my Milloy jersey at a Big Lots for $20.

  7. i can't even make myself read it.  the quotes listed under the link are bad enough -- when are we going to end the CW experiment????

       <_<  :P

    425192

It should have ended immedietly after the loss to Jacksonville in Week 1 last year.

  8. I got a Coleman propane stove for Christmas last year and will be putting it to good use this year for some games.

My question is can anybody tell me about how long you get out of one of those small propane cyllinders that they take? I was considering getting the extension hose to hook up to a normal refillable propane tank but wanted to first see if I could get away with using the smaller ones. Thanks!

    413822

you will probably go thru one cylinder a a game, they are so cheap and small just keep a backup around and you'll be able to avoid lugging the tank around.

  9. Opening play...mcNabb to steelers defense....TOUCHDOWN. MCnabb 1-1

Then the Steelers return a punt for a TD 14-0 steelers

Meanwhile Owens is sitting back enjoying the show. How long till Philly signs Koren Robinson?

    408339

And now the Eagles finally score then the Steelers return the kickoff 100 yeards for a TD.

  10. Pulled into the Crowne plaza about 1:30 went to alcatraz Brewery for lunch and happened to see an away Spikes 59 Walking down the street. GO BILLS !!!!!!!

    406766

I hope you were just so excited to see the Bills fan that you either misread the name or number and that no Bills fan is actually dumb enough to put spikes name with Fletchers number. but none the Less GO BILLS!!!

  11. I think that Stamer guess/prediction might be it.

Personally, what I'd like to see (not that I think it's likely) is Baker to take over FS, then have TV move back to CB so that McGee can go back to 3rd CB & concentrate on KOR.

    396219

Thats just retarded, did you see how good TV was as a FS after he returned last year??

  12. Why don't you tell me how you really feel?

J/K - thanks for the advice - I was hoping that North Carolina wasn't so South as to be "Deliverance" South.  I guess maybe I was wrong.

    392207

Raliegh is more stereotypical South then Charlotte and the rest of the state is fairly redneckish. Charlotte is full of northern transplants and Southerners that don't mind us, I have been here for 7 months and am loving it. It's a nice, new city with a good variety of stuff to do. The girls are wayyyyyy better looking than up north too.

  13. Raiders.com even has him allocated a jersey number now (79 - just like me!)

Apparantly he's on the team - not the PS!

    391368

All players are on the roster for training camp then after the opening day roster of 53 is set whoever has been waived can be resigned to the practice squad, So from my understanding he could go to any other team's practice squad if the raiders waive him.

  14. Only problem I've seen with that area is that the people in the first few rows stand to see the game better.  That means that every row after that also stands so as to see over who is in front of you

    390986

Damn, we wouldnt want the fans to stand and be excited would we?? Do you know where the section where the fans sit on their hands the whole game is??

  15. I am almost sure it will not be fixed for the Rangers simply because there is so much speculation in that direction.  I spoke to a guy from Toronto about this and he thinks there would be major backlash if this were to happen.

I could see Chicago.  I picked Mtl because they are the Yankees of hockey.  Just a guess.  I'd prefer to see a ping pong ball appear bearing a satanic goathead.

    387898

The Lottery Press Conference is at 4pm, you can watch it live at NHL.com.

Anybody's guess is worthless with the odds out there, there's no way they fix it. Atlanta and Columbus would probably be the happiest if they got it, they would become instand contenders if Crosby is for real.

  16. EZC has been going to the grass lost adjacent to Louies Hot Dogs on Rt. 20 (it is between Louies and Milligans Pub).....you can go there as early as you want and its the same price as the stadium drives.  If anyone (G.Host) knows how to put a map on here...that can help you more

    384342

great lot, we are always there on the side and back of the little garage, Camped there the night before the steelers game. We typically show up around 7:30 or 8 am. The workers at the lot will show up around 8:30 typically and just come collect the fee if you are there before them
