Bills Win out..End Season 10-6 (Beat SF and Pitt)
3 of 4 things have to happen...
Jax lose 1 out of 2 (Houston, @Oakland)
Bal lose 1 out of 2 (@Pitt, Miami)
Denver lose 1 out of 2 (@Tenn, Indy)
Jets lose 2 out of 2(New England, @St. Louis)
Bold=lose Underline=can lose Itlaics=will win
If 3 of these things happen we get the #6 playoff spot. If all 4 of these things happen we will get the #5 spot.
-Jets need to lose 2. One is against NE so we have the tiebreaker. This way we will have an equal head to head record and and we will both 3 - 3 divisional records. We will have the better common opponents record. Buffalo's is 10 - 4 while the Jets cant match that no matter what since they beat a team that we do not play while we lost to both teams the Jets do not play. This is now looked at before Conference Record if the team you are competing against is in you division.
-Jax has the tie-breaker over us because they beat us. If they lose 1 game they will have 7 losses.
-Bal has the tie-breaker over us because they beat us. If they lose 1 game they will have 7 losses.
-Denver has the tie-breaker over us because of Conference Record. If they go 10 -6 they will have a 7 - 5 Conference Record while we will have a 6 - 6 Conference Record. That is why they must lose 1 game so that they have 7 losses.
WILL HAPPEN:
-Bal and Denver lose a game or more each.
CAN VERY POSSIBLY HAPPEN:
-Jets lose to St. Louis. Jets will be away.
-Jax lose 1 or more game. Oakland and Houston are both playing good football.
DONT GIVE UP HOPE. IF 1 OF THE VERY POSSIBLY THINGS HAPPEN WE ARE IN.(WIN OUT TO)
Thank you, my pessimism is temporarily squelched. I stand corrected!
The Bills have done it before and can do it again. Its not over for sure, I just felt like this was our best chance to close some teams out.
-
Darius could have made a mistake meaning to merely hit him in the pads. He seemed to feel bad about the hit. Intentional or not, Jack Del Rio is twice the scumbag.
The camera pans to Del Rio and he and another coach are laughing about the hit on the sideline! Did you guys see that?
Darius should absolutely be suspended for that hit, intentional or not. Del Rio's ass should be thrown right out of the league.
A guy lays motionless on the field, his career possibly in jeopardy, his life maybe forever changed, maybe even paralyzed...and the head frikkin coach of the opposing team is laughing????????????
:I starred in Brokeback Mountain: :fyou: :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: ohh and BTW Del Rio :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: !
-
No way Jax loses to Houston at home OR away at Oakland!
They finish 10 and 6 and have the tie breaker over us!
That first game cost us our season.
The owrst part about it is that Jax is a team of SCUMBAGS for that hit!
Jack Del Rio should be fired for laughing over the hit on the sidelines. Did you guys see that?

1) Bubba Franks- GB doesnt pony up the cash and he walks. No one franchises a TE! We simply cream ourselves to get a TE like Franks!
2) Shaun Rogers- He leaves Det for greener pastures and the grass looks really green on our turf! Pat Williams has 36 tackles and 1.5 sacks at this point. Shuan Rogers has 56 tackles and 4 sacks! Bye Bye Pat!
3) Darren Howard- NO has Charles Grant and Howard as starters but Howard has 7.5 sacks with his backup, Will Smith having 6! NO lets Howard walk and we sign him to add that big pass rusher opposite Schobel!
Ohh BTW, we land Plaxico Buress when Pitt says bye bye to him...Randle-El and Ward are all they need! Plaxico is used to replace Eric Moulds when Moulds goes the selfish route and bolts a.l.a. TO!
Hey, this IS the Stadiumwall after all!
-
Bengals are 27th in the league against the run, 15th against the pass.
Bills are 3rd against the run AND the pass!
Buffalo has 28 takeaways, 24 giveaways.
Bengals have 29 takeaways, 26 giveaways.
Bills are 15th in the league for rushing O, 26th in passing O.
Bengals are 16th in the league for rushing O, 15th in passing O.
So, keys to the game:
Bills
O- run, run, and run some more. Pound McGahee over and over. If the run isnt there dont be afraid to pass it it, With the weather factor, stick to short dump offs, NONE OF THOSE FREAKKIN FLOATERS!!!
D- play solid well rounded D, dont over pass rush which opens up the running game, play tight coverage. Watch Chad Johnson, especially short. Clements can play with the best of them and the weather is crap! Run the bump and run, DONT PLAY 10 yards off the ball! A solid effort should stump the Bengals.
Overall:
Look for alot of turnovers, nasty weather and two teams that takeaway alot and giveaway alot= sloppy play!
I think we see McGahee run for 150 yards, Drew play decent but give up a few INT's, and our defense bend but not break!
Bills 27, Bengals 14

half the olinemen you name aren't as good as the olinemen we have. if you havne't noticed, they've been a different group of guys under mcnally. adrian klemm? do you realize there's a reason belickick can't wait to let him walk?
Now Bubba Franks...now we're talkin'. Abraham doesn't really fit the gray defense, but he'd be nice. Eddie Berlin...interesting. Re-sign Jennings.
Hey, Im just throwing names out there at this point, not comparing to what we have. Riaola is really the one I like or Walter Jones or Pace of course.
-
-
Yeah and THIS year I actually want what you want, o-line players!

LT- Walter Jones, Orlando Pace, Adriann Klemm

With 7 losses, these guys are already done and they wont play up to a tough game against us!
Why does anyone think Cinn is still in it?
-
1) 2nd round (picked up in trade for Henry)- Erasmus James DE Wisconsin
2) 2nd round (32nd
)- CJ Brooks OG Maryland
3) 3rd round - Mike Nugent K Ohio State (yes I think he is worth a 3rd rounder)
3) 4th round - Maurice Clarett (Henry is gone, I think his negative hype is unfounded)
4) 5th round - Diamond Ferri S Syracuse you gotta love the big game against BC!
5) 6th round - Chauncey Stovall WR Florida State- I love the tough YAC this guy gets
6) 7th round - Jason White QB Oklahoma, hey he just might fall this far, Can our retread Mathews and sign another young guy as our 3rd
-
I will be making my annual Draft Bowl list of players to look for in each bowl game, based on the following list of needs:
1. A Difference-Maker TE. Blocks and catches the football. Can dominate the game. Can find the seams. Fearless over the middle.
2. A Dominant DE and DT. Although Kelsay played well yesterday, it makes sense to continue our quest for the best defensive line in football especially with the contracts of Schobel and Williams coming up.
3. A Quick-Footed, Road-Grader Tackle. While I'd be happier getting this one through FA, it doesn't hurt to grow one's own.
4. Another Cornerback. We seem to do well drafting competitive corners. Might as well have the eventual replacement for Clements (although it very well could be McGee, in which case we also need a KR)
5. A long-range Kicker. This could be Lindell's eventual replacement or some motivation in training camp.
6. A Fleet, Hard-Hitting LB who's great on Special Teams.
7. One more injured RB with great prospects!!!!
Any other requests? Any particular priority order?
OK got good prospects for ya.
1)- Weak at TE this year, no Winslow type
2)- Erasmus James Wis, Justin Tuck ND, Marcus Spears LSU
3)- CJ Brooks Maryland. This is the guy I want! He is an absolute STUD and is underrated, could go in round 2
4)- CB- cant really think of one yet.
5)- Mike Nugent Ohio State, I would draft him in the third round if I were THIS team!
6)- Ahmad Brooks is a guy I like at OLB
7)- Maurice Clarett! TD is a guy who takes chances. Theguy can play and is not a head case in my mind. He just wanted to get into the draft. Currently in the third or later, he could be a steal! Noah Herron Northwestern, and Walter Reyes Syracuse are striking too. Herron is too slow for my blood but has got great moves.
-
when Losman entered the game....he refers to him as:
JR Losman
then
JT Losman
and then never corrected himself a 3rd time.
I know this is trivial....but...it just makes me nuts.
I guess in Criqui's defense...he was probably on his 6th martini by the time Losman checked into the game.
The part I loved was how the idiots (yes Steve included as a caster NOT a player) talked all this stupidity about how HARD it will be for the Bills to get into the playoffs! They clearly have NO FUGGIN CLUE about the schedules of the contenders!
-
Get over it already...
f-cking A, I was one of his biggest bashers, but what he has done (no, not IN SPITE of Drew, but what HE has done) is WIN.
Why does everyone like Roethlisberger? Because he puts up HUGE numbers? No. Because he wins.
Get off of Drew's case.
He took criticism that would make most men quit and has turned this ship around.
Go Drew.
Go Bills!
Sorry, I guess im maybe 4 weeks too early with my Drew bashing. Ill have many many more people chiming in 4 weeks from now!
-
-
This is EXACTLY why the phrase, "your smoking serious amount of Stadiumwall make so much sense to me"!
Drew is a HUGE part of why we are winning?
I have seen this guy throw on target TWICE in the past 3 games! Both times to Evans, 1 time for a long bomb, and in the last game he threw a rcoket to him for a TD!
Lets see... Last 4 games against CLOWN teams,
He had:
118 Attempts
71 Completions
60.1 Completion perct
837 Yards
9 TD's
5 Int's
6 Sacks
2 Fumbles
Passers Rating of 89.48
OK, Looking at it by stats. I can see an arguement that he actually has been DECENT. So, I may be suffering from being to critical. His numbers coupled with a very good ground game, Awesome Special Teams, and Awesome D is a winning combo for sure.
BUT.....
Look at his numbers versus NE
49 Attempts
26 Completions
323 Yards
53.1 Pct Cmplt
1 TD
4 Int's
9 Sacks
1 Fumb
46.55 Passers Rating
OUCH!!!!! This really makes my point. He does well against average or bad teams, but chokes against NE. I would be really suprised if his numbers against good teams are similar to his numbers against NE. Im not going to figure it out, someone else can!
The numbers make my point. If you guys are simply slamming me because you like the great recent TEAM play and want to ride the high...FINE I dont blame you and am WITH you!
But, we are SUPPOSED to be trying to win a SUPER BOWL and these numbers are SCARY for us getting it done under Drew!
Say what you like guys but he just plain is NOT good enough!
Im very excited for this TEAM, Im stoked about the playoffs for the first time in a long time, if we get in at all its a HUGE step forward for us.
All these things are great but I just dont see the right guy at the helm for us to win a Super Bowl!
-
Look, before I get the 50 million reply's with STFU and your a moron etc... Im looking at this realistically.
Yes, Drew DOES represent our best chance to win at this point. I will conceed that. Losman would go the route of Eli at this point. You cant throw a guy in at this point and expect to see him continue to win every game with no hiccups. I dont believe we should throw him in mid-season in ANY season. He needs the ups and downs to learn (this is a hint to what needs to happen next season).
So, fine Drew continues to start through out this year. But, lets say we get in (I really think we will). The goal is NOT to just make the playoffs, the goal is to win a SB. When will our road to the dance NOT include NE? Drew is simply owned by them! If this team and the front office wants to go to and truly win the super bowl they must realize that we need to beat NE either during the regular season or during the playoffs and the Drew DOES NOT give us the best chance to win in THAT game! How can we overlook this? You cant. We HAVE to get a QB who can do at least average AND manage to play decent against NE. Thats not Drew and we have NO indication that it ever WILL be!
Add in the fact that our D has been all world and has kept us in games where Drew goes for only 100 yards passing or throws 3 int's and the writing is all there.
This is NOT a call to play someone else right now. Drew is our best chance, but any notion that he is "good enough" is simply untrue. We are winning DESPITE Drew NOT because of him, and that will QUICKLY change wants we get into the playoffs.
So, I like all of you am stoked by the late run, but I am REALLY worried about how far we go with Drew! If he gets in and he causes or is a large part of a playoff loss, I hope you all will get behind finding a QB who can win us the SB in THIS division! We all, hopefully, want the same thing. Redemption for those 4 losses! And a BIG SB win for our blue collar squad!
I believe that our SB QB is currently on this squad but not starting. But, I am sooo much enjoying watching us win this year!
-
Flood control=RJ (this damn board seems to always be down when we REALLY need it. Someones pulling an intervention on us!)
The announcers are on serious Stadiumwall. They are talking all this crap about how hard it will be for the Bills to get in...BS!!!!
Any team losses 7 games is out!
Bal (5 losses)- They are going to win AT Indy and AT Pitt? Not quite
Jax (6 losses)- They are going to win AT GB? When GB is in playoff contention? Nice try!
Den (5 losses)- They are currently losing to Mia. Then they have to win AT KC, AT Tenn, and then beat Indy. The way they are playing they could lose ALL those games!
BTW, Drew sucks! He is constantly throwing off target. How refreshing was it to watch Losman break out of the sack and run for a 1st? Serioulsy, the o-line, McGahee, Evans, our D, and special teams are Carrying Drew at this point. 100 yards throwing? McGahee by himslef RAN for more yards than Drew threw for!
Like I have said for weeks now, Moulds is our #2 WR on this team right now! He is the dropped ball king this year!

Im a fan of removing any cap hits for trading players.
Lets face it the NBA is fun as far as trades go. They can wheel and deal all day, three way trades happen, etc... I wish the NFL was like that.
The Bailey for Portis deal was huge but is the only real big trade in years. It happens all the time in the NBA. I wonder what the reason is for it not happening more in the NFL? Could it be that there are so many starters that each position is so much less important that teams feel they can still win with average players?
Sure a few squads could jump to the elite status with a few studs. Philly has done it. But maybe a team like the Bills doesnt want to give up a stud RB like Henry for a stud LT for example. Maybe they simply say, a stud LT isnt worth trading for. Maybe the drafts are deeper and player development is better meaning you can grow your own pretty easily.
I just wished trading could be opened up more.

Thanks xbox for getting me out of my "the Jags are scumbags" funk!
This IS the team with the greatest comeback in NFL history after all!
Sorry for the pessimism
I have never jumped of the Bills wagon and wont now. I may not like the ways things are going sometimes but I will DIE a Bills fan!
It VERY possible that Jax loses 1 of their last 2. Its also VERY possible that the Jets lose BOTH their last 2. Personally Id love to beat out the Jets more than the Jags!
