Word of the day---OPTIMISM---maybe the word of the season. I hate to say this but...look at the patsies--players stay to win. If JP comes out gunnin and we are contending (as we should) then there wont be a prob signing and keeping FA's because most players realize its more than the money. Winning is where its at. That said --- here's to winning and OPTIMISM!

No way Carter comes cheap. He has like an 8 Mil cap hit in Tenn(dont quote that). Yes he is dominant and I also like him better than Hovan but that would be the only FA signing we could make if we got him. I personally dont see it happening.

Get a pick from Travis and skip Shelton. Grab Mike Wahle instead, at G he is a stud and GM's are thinking he would make a better LT prospect than Jennings

I like this move better. Id sign Wahle and then draft a David Baas type who can play G or C, this adds the versatility to let McNally figure out who is best where and fill sour LT need with aguy who may be a better prospect than Jennings, something Shelton is NOT IMO.
So, Sign Wahle. He can play either LG or LT.
Get a draft pick for Travis and draft David Baas who will start day one at LG or C and then Wahle can move to LT or stay at LG and move Teague to LT.
Lots of options and we add the best available o-lineman in FA and one of the best o-lineman from the draft with LOTS of versatility as to where they play.

Good points there. Yes we arer thin at spots but I think we will resign most of the second tier you had listed.
The one thing that we don't want to see is a swiss cheese line that will get JP massacred. That has to be the #1 priority now. There will be tons of FA's for depth as the offseason progresses.

Jerry was against this deal from the beginning but the Tuna gets his way! Whats the guy supposed to say--Yeah I know Drews washed up but Bill told me I had to do it or elsse he wouldn't let me show up at the stadium on Sundays!--bottom line the guy isn't happy but he cant come out and say it.

We still haven't signed anyone........In fact besides The Foreskins ans Samuels and the Moss thing with the Raiders I don't see where anyone has done anything in FA AT ALL. This is driving me nuts!
