I can!!! 3.25 at the res today.. It took 45.00 to fill my little cavalier!!!

I got back to Hornell and it was 3.09 at MOBIL. Filled my wifes Envoy for 50.00 there..

Since this afternoon that same MOBIL station is now selling gas at 3.49 per gallon..

  2. Here we are a week before football season, and this board is being dominated by posts that sink to endless political bickering.

I suggest we make the effort to bring The Stadium Wall back to discussing Bills football.  I as that folks resist the urge to make off-topic posts, especially if they involve anything that can become political.

    AMEN!!!

    It's FOOTBALL season folks!!!

  3. What's up all? I got here safely and have started kicking a$$ already. Tomorrow I'm going out to make a solatia (condolence) payment and the area is pretty hostile. I'll have 8 Army gun trucks escorting me. I'm pretty pumped. Should be a good time.

Well keep the info flying. This is my main link to Bills info and it's pretty hit and miss as far as getting in here.

    Later all and Go Bills!!

Military to Military stay safe and come home soon!!

Thank You for what you are doing for the rest of us back here in the states

  4. I have this small tidbit of info to relate...

My chiropracter used to live in New Orleans - about 10 years or so ago...

He said, folks down there have known this was going to happen eventually and talk about it all the time...  they are much like folks in southern California - they "know" something will happen "someday"...  but hope/delude themselves into thinking it won't happen during their lives.  The levee was apparently rated to survive a category 3 hurricane...

So, I guess it is **fair** to say they should have been more prepared...

But, that doesn't make it any less tragic, nor does pointing fingers at anyone...  All we can do now is everything we can to make these peoples lives bearable right now...  not tomorrow, but right now.

Who knows what will become of New Orleans...  I've heard reports that much of it will never be the same - a lot of irreperable damage to one of this countries "landmark cities"...

kota said it best.  "This is a national disaster."

good post---couldn't have said it better

  5. Um, most of them are probably fighting Bush's war in Iraq.

Because this is a national disaster, thus, the feds are primarily responsible for acting on it.  This is not something that will just affect the people of NO.  We'll all pay for it in the long run.

Um, didn't the president have notice that hijackers were planning on using planes to attack us yet he had no plan in place to deal with it?

Lazy ass?  Wasn't the president on vacation when this went down?  Why did he wait until Wednesday to decide to cut his vay-cay short?

There are so many things wrong with what you've said.  I've pointed out a few.  Get it together dude.

Fighting Bush's war huh? Typical left BULLsh--!!! I suppose you blame Bush for whats going on in N.O. now as well. According to the left the only thing G.W. Bush could have done right is personnaly call Mother Nature and strike a deal with her to not hit the U.S. and then I'm sure you still would have found a reason to B word.

Start making some REAL suggestions on how to fix some of these problems and stop placing blame and pointing fingers. :P

People are dying and all the right-wingers on this board can do is wag their fingers at the dying.  FYI: The federal government is the one who cut the funds to repair those levees.  Someone please move this crap to the PPP board where it belongs!

PTR with that comment you just equvilated yourself to a cross between RJ and JPEra

  6. The point I am making is that Edwards is a good slot receiver with good hands and quickness.  He is also elusive.  These are three charactistics that Josh Reed does not have.

The question to ask is Troy Edwards better then Drew Haddad, when you answer that question then you have your justification to sign or the reson not to sign him.

In any case the Texans are looking at Edwards.

Have I heard of this guy????????

  7. No, Quantico to Franconia, without traffic is about 20 miles.  Woodbridge is about 10 miles.  Off peak those are doable in under 20 minutes.  During rush hour, 45 minutes from Quantico, and about 25 from Woodbridge.  For the Quantico drive it depends on accidents and how badly it backs up at Dale City.

Besides 1am til 4 am what else is off peak?

  8. There's a very good Bills bar in Arlington. right off the beltway and easy to get to. Very popular, need reservations if you want a table. The simian, his frau and I go there on occassion, lots of bills jerseys, don't know who else from here.

    cool

I cant stand the Deadskins and really dont want to have to watch them every Sunday

  9. I've seen a few for rent signs around your place, but was thinking the townhomes just past the intersection where I work, almost across from Van Dorn. We almost rented one there for $1750, very large 3 bedroom with a finished family room basement. Nice and quiet, too.

Might be something to look into

  10. Amazing how many people on the board seem to live right around the corner...

Nobody has mentioned the Metro as an alternaitve to driving - if you're working in DC that might be a good option.  I get to downtown DC from Alexandria in roughly 30 minutes, daily. It'd be difficult to do that driving.

It is funny how many folks live down there in that area. Do alot of you get together at any certain spot for the games?
