  1. Good picks, here are mine with just a 3 differences:

    12 - Jim Kelly - Quarterback

    2 - Steve Christie - Kicker

    8 - Brian Moorman - Punter

    34 - Thurman Thomas - Running Back

    83 - Andre Reed - Wide Receiver

    80 - Jerry Butler - Wide Receiver

    - Elbert Dubenion - Wide Receiver

    88 - Pete Metzelaars - Tight End

    66 - Billy Shaw - Offensive Line - LG

    68 - Joe DeLamielleure - Offensive Line - RG

    - Howard Ballard - Offensive Line - RT

    64/77 - Stew Barber - Offensive Line - LT

    67 - Kent Hull - Offensive Line - C

    89 - Steve Tasker - Special Teams

Agreed on the fact that House Ballard HAS to be on this team.

  2. Don't know if anyone else saw the segment with Stuartt Scott, Steve Young, and Emmit after the game tonight. When asked if the Bills were for real Emmit basically laughed and acted like we are horrible. Claimed that the Raiders are terrible at best and Buffalo has played no one this year. He made it sound like we'll probably finish about 4-12 this year. Of course when talking about the Cowboys he started beaming and all but awarded them the Lombardi trophy.

Not surprising at all... and I think we're all in agreement that Emmit sucks as an analyst, but all the same... what a MAROON!

Emmit is 5 IQ points short of being a retard.....I don't put a whole lot of value in what he says. Hell, the guy can barely put together a proper English sentence....let alone two in a row.

  3. when discussing assumed injury to Brady he said with that and you bring Pennington to Miami and Favre to Jets and it changes everything. not a word about Bills! even though they had biggest win today and 2nd best record in division last year. reminded me back in early 90's he would never put a bill on all-madden team ... too busy sucking up to large market cities.

Madden peaked circa 1988......Who cares what he says. All his "boom"....."bam" stuff is really annoying.

  4. The players are all singing the "Rally 'round Matt" tune, but will they really entrust the reins of a Super Bowl possible team to a 7th Round draft pick?

It says here that the Patsies* will go after Daunte Culpepper and that the former Fin will accept their offer (in spite of his eloquent retirement statement of last week.)

My thoughts exactly......I'm OK with smacking Daunte around some more <_<

  5. did a search and didn't see it posted yet

"The Buffalo Bills promptly confirmed their preseason status as a playoff contender with a dominant performance against the Seattle Seahawks. And with the Pats presumably out of the way, Buffalo can be much more. The Bills' defensive upgrades, especially the addition of tackle Marcus Stroud, provided immediate benefits as the Seahawks' offense was stifled at every turn. Their special teams performed at their typically high level. Marshawn Lynch ran with every bit as much power and explosiveness as he demonstrated as a rookie last year. And although second-year quarterback Trent Edwards wasn't spectacular, he made significant strides over where he was at the end of last season and looks as if he will only get better as the season progresses."

    Lets go Buffalo!

  6. What he really really means. I want to trade JP but I have to say nice things publicly because I won't give him away for nothing. As soon as I state I want to trade him his value drops in the marketplace. Plus I run the risk of completely alienating him if I can't put a good deal together and end up hanging onto him. By saying this at this time I keep all my options open and protect JPs value in the marketplace.

You never show your hand, if he came out and said he wnted to trade him I be angry because there's no reason to say it.

It's similar to what Pac-Man just did to Tennessee. he said he won't apply for reinstatement until AFTER he's traded. Well since teams aren't sure if he WILL be reinstated that undermines his trade value to Tennessee since teams are less willing to risk a better draft pick on an uncertain situation. By saying that he effective reduced his chances of being traded this off-season because Tennessee can let him sit on the suspended list for free and they won't give him away for nothing either because it doesn't hurt them at all to keep him where he is. Pac Man doesn't want to play n Tenn but by showing his hand he f'ed it up for himself, once again proving the abyssal depth of his ignorance.

Agreed.....exactly what i was thinking. Let's make it look like we actually want this guy, and maybe his value will increase. We will also have better conditions when someones #1 or #2 go down at camp. :P

  7. I did this quick, but here is the results I was able to get out of the 2006 draft. (Based on an early April 06 Kiper Mock)

    First Round

Correct Picks (Team and Number) - 4 (D'Brick, Hawk, Davis, Mercedes Lewis)

Of the 32 picks, Kiper correctly identified 26 of them (missed Carpenter, Hali, Joseph, Mangold, Addai and Kiwi) as being first round picks

    Second Round

Correct Picks (Team and Number) - 0

Correct Team, but wrong Pick number - 2 (McIntosh, Justice)

Of the 32 picks, Kiper correctly identified 15 of them as being 2nd round picks

    Third Round

Correct Picks (Team and Number) - 0

Correct Team, but wrong Pick number - 3 (Winston, Youboty, Pope)

Of the 33 picks, Kiper correctly identified 12 of them as being 3rd round picks

    Summary

In the ENTIRE first 3 rounds, Kiper only identified FOUR correct picks (Team and Number).

In the ENTIRE first 3 rounds, Kiper only correctly identified 9 of 97 picks to the correct team.

Of the 97 players taken in the first 3 rounds, only 76 of them were in his 3 round mock draft.

So, someone tell me why we should listen to this Goober?

You don't need stats to know not to listen to Kiper
