  1. Hey, I'm new here and don't know if this is appropriate to post here but I just bought a boat and am in need of a good name. I want to incorporate water/boating lingo and something Bills. Either a players name or something Bills related and am struggling. I was hoping you guys could be more clever than I am

    Wide Starboard

  2. Ok I gotta now think its his job to lose. I still can't get the taste outta my mouth about this guy not even cracking the lineup in Green Bay when some thought when he came out he would challenge Rogers for the starting job. (saw an ESPN deal on that).

I have read conflicting reports on arm strength. Some said great, some say not so good. He had good college stats but so does every QB from Texas Tech, so that means nothing.

Mort reported just over a month ago that apperantly the Bills staff is really open to this guy being the man. On the other hand if you WATCH and LISTEN to how they talk about Brown, I can't help but he is their plan to be a long range QB.

So help me here, what is the real deal with Brohm?

On Sirius NFL radio today they were talking about the Bill's QB situation. I think it was Jim Miller who said Brohm's problems in GB were more to do with the Packer's complicated system which he thought was too much for a rookie to get right off. He then went on to say he expects the Bills to be running a much simpler system under Gailey. For what it's worth.

  3. I believe the Brohm love is due to the fact that there are so many other needs, it would be so very convienent that we already have a capable QB on the roster and all our other moves can go to other positions of need. Drafting a QB is always such a gamble and all these other free agent and even trade options suck flat out blow. And if one more dipsh*t calls for bringing in Vick I hope you get your balls cut off. The guy was never an efficient QB and was only a phenomenal athlete taking snaps behind center. That's it. Sorry, I'm just fed up with the Vick talk and it has nothing to do with any crime he commited. HE IS A LOUSY ASS QUARTERBACK!!!!!

    I couldn't agree more

  4. If you are at Disney World, the ESPN zone will have it on.

I was in Disney World in Nov. 98 so the wife & I went to the ESPN Zone to watch the Bills Pats game. We were lucky enough to get a booth with a good view of our game. We even invited a couple of Pats fans who couldn't find a seat to join us. After the "just give it to them" call and the bogus pass interference at the end, the entire bar (not just the Bills fans) were yelling that the Bills got screwed. Even the Pats fans said "you guys got robbed".

Most frustrating game I ever watched.

  5. It's amazing to me how the golden boy, Tom Brady can make Pro Bowl Wide receivers out of Reche Caldwell and Jabbar Gaffney. What's that about?

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that the Pats NEVER get called for holding. Matt Light misses his block and horse-collers the defender from behind and nothing is called. One of at least three blatent holds by the Pats o-line today.

When you're protecting the golden boy I guess you play by a different set of rules.

  6. I am assuming these signs were put in place by the Bills organization.  My personal favorite...

    COY'S SOLDIERS!  <_<

Back when I used to live up north I used to notice signs that said "Washington's Generals" (or something like that). These were underprivileged kids that couldn't afford to go to games and were given tickets by Ted Washington.

I don't know if this is the same type of deal but wouldn't be surprised.

  7. Nate only has 9 games left as a Bill and he is gone. The Bills are clearly going nowhere this year so why not trade Nate for something. Booger is an above average DT. I would have taken the deal and shoved Youbouty on the field to get some experience.

We have 2 rookie safeties, McGee gets benched for poor play and everyone is in a big hurry to get rid of Nate.

    I don't get it. <_<

  8. Does anyone else subscribe to this and get frustrated with the inconsistency of the delivery? I know you can subscribe electronically but I prefer the printed version. Some weeks I get it on Thursday and weeks like this one, I don't have it on Saturday (which means it provides no value to me getting it after the next game). This has gone on for years and I will probably cancel or get it electronically. Just wondering if others deal with this frustration.

    Thanks

Yeah, I have the same problem. I just got the Jets game issue TODAY.

I emailed to tell them if they can't get the issues to me before the next game is played then cancel my subscription.

Too bad to since the rag has improved after Chris Brown stopped writing the entire thing by himself.

  9. Fred is the biggest Tom Brady sucking Pats are the greatest homer that ever lived. He can't even form words because his lips are so tight on Brady's butt. He has no logic what so ever. I don't even want to listen to the guy again. :DFred has lost it.

Anybody going to the game got a sheet of cardboard and a Sharpie?

Might be fun to see a few "Take Fred off the wall" signs at the game this week.

    :o

  10. I just moved from Erie to Chicago.  I was watching the Monday night game in a bar here and told the bartender how much I love to see the Steelers lose.  He agreed then asked me why I don't root for Pittsburgh and I pointed to the Bills hat which I wear proudly here in the midwest.

I then asked him if he was  Bears fan.  He told me he was, and that he attended the Detroit game on Sunday.  Assuming that going to a Bears game-because of the high cost of a Soldier field ticket-was not as trite and un-game related as a day at Wriggley, I was under the impression that this particular bartender was, in fact, a viable Bears fan.  It's tough to measure NFL fans next to a Buffalo template, but I was willing to believe that this guy actually knew someTHING about his home team.

So I said, "Hey, man, we're very grateful for Dicky J."

To which he replied, with a sarcastic smile, "Have fun with that."

    "You're not a fan?" I asked.

Without delay, the barender shook his head "no."

    What's that all about?

Does anyone know what might have happened here in Chicago to make a person, who I assume to be a fan, dislike a coach whose gaining popularity in a city not known for its expeditious allegiance to a non-Marv Levy coaching regime?

Bears fans will always hate any coach not named Ditka

  11. No. It is a maroon sweater vest that you constantly consider throwing in the fire burning in the fire place. He insessently talks throughout game play as well.

I think Simon covered the chair problem better than I could but the talking during the game thing really blows my gasket.

When this happen at my place I just hold down the up volume on the remote till the wife yells "What the hell are you doing???!!!". At this point I turn it back down and reply "sorry honey, couldn't hear the game" while looking directly at the offender.

If Sweater Vest Guy touches your remote then according to Emily Post it's OK to take him outside and beat him with a 2x4.

Bills ahead 17 to 3 at the half.

Belichick has a little powwow with the Refs.

Final score Pats 33 Bills 17.

  13. If you remember the guys at training camp were underhandedly backstabbing JP, and routing for Holcomb to win the job.

Now they are saying he deserves it, it is the best move for the bills and that the team should be better in the long run.

Complete about face on that one!

Some of the national media appears to be coming around on jp as well.

Be glad they were talking about the Bills at all. I figured they should just change the name of the station to the NFC East channel. Anytime I tune in thats all they talk about no matter who the hosts are.

Another good name might be the All T.O. All The Time Channel.

  14. You forgot that ngata is an unmotivated fat ass. So fine, lets draft the "big run stuffer" and we'll hafta be happy when he only shows up 6 plays a game.

Ngata = a younger sam adams

Like I mentioned in my original post, Ourlads seems to be the only one calling him lazy. Not sure what to make of that since no-one in the know answered my question about how accurate their player evaluations are.
