I think it is even stretching it calling it a "family city"
Rochester is a run down version of Buffalo.

Well, not to cast aspersions, but they say that about everybody, until they are letting them go. Edwards has been around for 4 years, and while he hasn't been terrible, he hasn't shown to be more than passable. Maybe he blossoms this year, not saying he can't, just that banking on an inexperienced guy, and a yeoman, on a #2 ranked defense (one that will hopefully be good enough to carry us to a playoff appearence, finally) seems foolish, if you have other options. Again, I wouldn't overpay for him, but I wouldn't rule it out becaues he is a "Patriot castoff" either....
Part time player last year
21 tackles 4 sacks? Passable?
Pat Williams Starter
53 tackles 2.5 sacks...hmmmm

Parkew was run out of this town by the fickle fans and media. He was always a good player.
I love Buffalo and the Bills but I have to disagree with people who say we are the best fans in the league.
This board as an example we b*tch and complain about every move the bills make. They could have signed peyton manning and people would have found a reason to compare him to RJ and say TD is a dope for signing him

Yeah, I could see the low grade because taking a running back, no matter how good, when you already have a Pro Bowl running back on the roster (remember, 2002 was Henry's best year) is a very questionable move. So, McGahee has worked out so far. But would I rather have Henry and another first round pick? Yeah, there's a good chance.
If they did not pick Mcgahee they would have taken Chris kelsay with that pick. He was rated first round.

Henry is worth bubkus NOW. Your CURRENT estimations are correct but unlike an automobile, Henry is not a depreciating asset. If you want to compare Henry and market values than I suggest that you compare him to the stock market. A buyer for an automobile buys for either need or appeal. Right now Henry possesses neither of these traits. When the gas prices go thru the roof then buyers trade their trucks and suvs and go to little 4 cylinders. But guess what? When the crisis is over they always go back to the bigger and better vehicles. Always.
No, he's more comparable to the stock market. When there's a lull, people sell and they don't buy. Well, depressions don't last forever and you can expect HAPPY DAYS again. So whoever thinks that Henry has little or no value then all I have to say is, sit on it Potsie.
I have to disagree. RB in the NFL are a depreciating asset. As they get older and run more they are less effective. With the right offensive line any RB can look like a star..Example Denver?

I think pretty much the whole draft. It is a weak year

Fug KFC. Go ahead and cheer for them, real nice. What they do to animals is more than inhumane - it's a crime. Take a peruse through some of the expose journalism that's been written about the chicken conditions at KFC - absolutely horrid and disgusting. And if you eat their products, you're ingesting some seriously negative karma.
Dont shoot the deer! thats inhumane. Lets let there pupulation grow and they can starve to death instead..>Thats much better. Or maybe you can hit them with your car and then you and the deer can die.
Animal right people=RJ

well maybe for you guys it doesnt matter, but personally living in a small town in the midwest, I get screwed every time i try and see a game. Unless the major networks feature the Bills and they arent playing opposite the Bears or Patriots or anyone these jagoffs in the areas seem more interested in, i gotta go to a sports bar with NFL Sunday Ticket and BEG them to put the game on one of the small screens as opposed to being the 10th screen showing the Bears game. I know you guys get to see the games anyway, but it sucks being acollege student and not having contrl over if you get to see your team or not. Personally, I love MN games
$60 a month for 4 months and you will see every Game!

Hmmm let me think
Yankees 200 million dollar payroll
Boston 150 million
Atlanta 100 million
Seattle 95 million
I am going with my Pirates and there 35 million dollar payroll!!! WOOHOOO
I used to love Baseball until about 1993. Then the player got greedy and ruined the leageue!
Hockeys well on there way as well.

I can't watch the LPGA without the announcers telling me Annika is going through a divorce. The rumor is she's gay and the fact is she's filed for divorce from her husband of eight years, David Esch. I don't give a hoot what she is or isn't, they should leave her personal life alone. Plus she's got the best sponsors in der Welt.
On the PGA side, people keep telling me Phil is a big gambler with heavy losses. I think people are making this crap up just because he does so well and I work for his sponsor BearingPoint. Once agin, I couldn't care less if he plays poker with Pete Rose. On the Golf Channel mesage boards they also say Phil cheats on his wife. If any of you have seen Phils wife ... he would have to be CRAZY to cheat on her. She is one hot MILF. More empty rumors.
Let's leave these nice people alone and enjoy what they have brought to us. I hope all of you agree these sports stars should be allowed their well earned privacy.
Happy Easter ~

Sorry to burst your bubble but the Phil rumor is not a rumor. He was a big time gambler, not just poker either. His biggest weekness was sports betting. You will see in many of his interviews including a recent one in Gold Digest he admits too it. But on a better note he has quit gambling and focused back on golf and family.

First piece of advice, take just about everything you learned in school about management and throw it out the window.
You can not learn how to manage people through text books. You are born with the ability to manage.
Be your self. Do not be friends with the staff but be friendly. Always have confidence in your decisions and let your people have input in what you do.
Treat your folks as you want to be treated and as I stated before do not second guess your decisions. If you show confidence and respect to your staff they will follow and perform for you.
I started my career managing a Bennigans and did this for 7 years. I know am A VP for a large company and have been at it for 6 years. Its a lot of work to be responsible for others but i love every day of it!

I get the market holidays, I'm off today. This year there was no holiday for New Year's Day, so we only get 8 holidays (MLK, P-day, Good Fri, Mem, 7/4, Labor, T-giving, X-Mas). I've been here for 5+ years, so I get 15 vacation days. I have no idea what I'm going to do with them, but they won't go to waste.
Of course, I'm trapped at home because I'm waiting for the charity truck to come and pick up a couch that I'm donating.
I agree at some point its too much time off.
We are off every federal holiday. 5 personal days. I have 25 vacation days and 2 "stress days"
Last year I only used 17 of my vacation days and no personal time.

Ok, my wife and I have been house hunting for about a month, and we feel ready to move on some houses.
We've done exhaustive research on schools, property values, etc. We've found some decent towns we can afford...
Would you either:
1) go with a house that's pristine, and would need no upgrades, and pinch every penny to make it happen, or,
2) buy a somewhat fixer upper that wouldn't stretch your budget, but needs upgrades (not major construction, just upgrades like kitchen cabinets, bathroom tiles, paint, plaster, etc.), with the possibly never getting it completely done.
I'm leaning towards a fixer-upper. One that's livable to start. Not great and not a complete disaster, but livable. I have some family members who can lend solid advice on how and what to do to upgrade (and when), and maybe do a little work at minimal cost. Also, I am fairly familiar with what needs to go into the work (money, time, sweat, etc.).
Pros of pristine house:
No work, no headaches, no need to spend anymore money
cons of pristine:
dangerously eats at budget, no "emergency" funds
pros of fixer upper:
can easily manage financially to start
cons of fixer upper:
can be a never ending ordeal. Will likely spend the money to fix which would have been used up-front to go pristine.
I know there's a ton more to consider, and we have. What would you do. Or what have you experienced?
Give you some advice. Buy a house in NC. I sold my house in Buffalo at a loss 3 years ago and have now just sold my first hous in NC and am upgrading. I made a 25% profit on my house here.
Not to mention I spent this weekend Golfing and Fishing in mid 70's....Much better than shoveling!!!
I love Buffalo but will never move back!

Wrong, Scouts had Losman at 89
http://proxy.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft04/.../player?id=7843
Smith at 97
http://proxy.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft05/.../player?id=9077
and Rodgers at 98
http://proxy.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft05/.../player?id=8743
Try again
BTW 89 ranking gets you to be about the 30-35 best players in the draft. So saying that, Losman would be a early 2nd rounder this year.
Some of the rating is based on comparison to the draft class they are in. So you really can not compare year to year. If JP was in this years draft I bet he would go top 5 and before the others.

Who cares?
We know that over half of the spoiled children that play baseball took some kind of performance drug.
it is a shame that the least physically demanding sport of the major 4 needs drugs to compete.
watching baseball is like watching slugs race uphill! Not real exciting

They have the past 2 years spent cash to improve it. Think about it. They now have Phat Pat and Kevin Williams at DT, Udeze at one DE, Napolean Harris at LB, A. Winfield, Smoot & Sharper in the 2ndary, and 2 1st rd picks. These are only the players they brought in the last 2 years (thru draft or FA). They can basically have any player they want.
Now I know that McCombs is cheap & positioning to sell the team, but I think they are doing something with accounting of incentives and bonuses that ensures oodles of cap room for years to come (regardless of what they spend). Why can't we do that?
All this and I bet you they do not make it out of the first round of the playoffs still..
Lets see what Stinkpepper does without moss..we saw it last year they do not play the same without him

Yeah if you want to smell Sh*t in your house all the time and have a pet that is loads of fun (Sarcasm) get a cat. I can not think of better way to have fun with your pet then to watch it sleep or lick itself?
wooohooo

I have 3 young children and have 2 dogs.
I have a pure bread Shepherd. He has been one of the best dogs I have ever had. Loyal pretective and will let the kids sit on his head if they wanted to very gentile.
I also have a mix breed Shepherd/Doberman. Sounds funny but she is a wonderful dog as well. has all the looks othe Dobie and the temperment of the Shepherd.

Let me start off by saying I am a huge Bills fan and have been since I could drool!
With that said I would have to agree that Reed is borderline HOF material. He was great in the Bills system but never had a "breakout year. He was consistent and played his part well.
He was not a game changer like Thurman could be or even Moulds can be.
