  1. I'm glad I got the Superfan this season. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that the Lions-Bills game wasn't available on DirecTV in HD. If they keep it up, I won't get to see any more Losman INTs tossed in HD glory...
  2. I don't think we could stand another number 11!! How many draft picks have the Bills spent on the last two #11's? Also, this is a good time to get rid of the Arena Football League Unis and go back to the royal blue.
  3. Boy, and if he hadn't made that GREAT interception in game 1 to preserve the Bills' victory, ... oops. Knock down the freakin' ball on fourth and long, Nate.
  4. Why stop at this game? What about the holding in game 1, when it was 3rd and 1, and Willis picked up the first only to have it called back on a holding? Also in game 1, if Clements knocks down the 4th and forever ball instead of trying to intercept it, the Bills win game 1. What about game 2, not challenging Henry's TD that wasnt? We could go on and on. NEVERTHELESS, this team did very well considering how much bad luck they had. 9-7 isn't too bad. They would be hosting a playoff game in the NFC. Although I really like Travis, he has to be traded (he is going to do very well somewhere - he did it all for us), hopefully we will get something in return. Maybe even trade him for a 1st round draft pick. I look forward to watching them next year. Hey, at least the Red Sox won this year, so I've got that going for me... which is nice.
  5. Although there are many plays that are responsible for the loss, I really think of two: 1) The missed figgie - I was yelling at the TV for them to go for it on 4th and 1. 2) The stupid "throw the ball as hard as you can to the back up RB" play by Drew. What were they thinking? 3rd and 1, a quick QB sneak or something to get the first. If you don't make it, then try on 4th. No need to get fancy. The Bills impressed me through their character - this team has a lot of it - but they still fall short on talent, especially at the QB position. We don't need gimick plays on 3rd and 1.
  6. I'm not saying that Mularkey didn't do a good job coaching the team - it just did not appear that he had a real presence at the game. Hey, I don't need a coach to go ballistic on the refs all the time, but letting the refs know that you're there is part of the game too. I also agree that there was a very small chance that the last play would be overturned, but remember that the presumption that the call on the field was correct is huge. Had the referee not called it a touchdown, the official would have had to look for clear and convincing (or whatever lingo the NFL uses) evidence that it was a catch in order to overturn the call. I do like the fact that the team seems to have bought into Mularkey's schemes - much better than the past two years. Now if they would just return to the old uniforms ...
  7. I watched the game on DirecTV, and after the Jag's failed to score a TD in the third quarter on the same play that they eventually won the game on, the Jag's coach went nuts on the official ever after the FG was kicked, arguing all along that the receiver was forced out of the end zone. At the time, I thought that Del Rio was wasting his breath. But, as it turns out, maybe the ear bending that Del Rio gave the official paid off - maybe that was in the back of the official's mind when he made the call that the final play was a push out. On the other side of the field, was Mularkey overwhelmed by his first game? I didn't see him get in anyone's face during the game, or try to work the officials. Even Gregg Williams whined to the officials when calls went the other way. Who knows, maybe that's his style. I did like the call on challenging the spot on Moulds' catch, but otherwise it wasn't all that evident that the team was even being coached. Did anyone at the game notice anything different?
