  1. I have to have a scope every year due to a longstanding medical problem that puts me at high risk for colon cancer. I pay extra for the pills, but even these gag me. I will not use the liquid plumber ever again. To put a positive spin on the whole thing, I look at scope day as my only day to get legally high. Demerol and Versed are great; you just can't remember things. One time my doctor said I sang Christmas carolls during the procedure. I also enjoy the recovery room, because they encourage you to fart to clear the colon of the air. It's like rhapsody sometimes!

  2. And Jauron and co. will be back, so at best it's a wash.

Unbelieveable. How can that man still have his job after the second Jets loss. Add the poor clock management in the second Pats game, and it makes it worse. No, worse was his press conference, when he tried to justify the running play with "we ran it in practice". That's the equivalent to "my dog ate my homework"......

  3. This is the Friggin Lonnie Johnson coach and staff. Every year, people would say that was the year Lonnie would finally put it together, translate all that potential and talent into making plays on the field. And, every year, like clockwork, he'd do the same shenanigans, like when he caught the pass on the fake punt only to keep running while looking behind him, get absolutely lit up by Darren Sharper, and fumble the ball. Well, now we are supposed to believe that Dick Jauron is finally going to get it together and become an NFL head coach with another chance. It's hysterical, really.

RW and RB doesn't know where to look to find another head coach who can win.....Really, who would even want to come here?

  4. Coming from Gregg "blitzing is the stupidest thing ever" Easterbrook, this comment has no credibility. The whole play worked because the Jets blitzed. For him to criticize the Bills on a play that only failed because of a blitz is the height of chutzpah.

The Jets runblitzed. CM was so slow the play would have been like a lateral. Because the defenders were at the line and waiting for a ball carrier near the line, the play was doomed to fail even if he caught the ball. The other important factor is CM is slow and has stone hands. The reporter argued that a long downfield pass, which would have sealed the game, might have been defendable.

And to an earlier poster's question if we have to rehash this, I say yes. I have a deluded fantasy that if fans complain loud enough, someone at OBD will take notice and perhaps even one more "negative" post will convince the numb brains that they have to get DJ off the field. C'mon, he said "this is one of those times in a game when it's good to pass"! No, DJ, it's NOT.

  5. To say they are honoring it could simply mean they are not going to try to pull an Al Davis or a RW (see Wade Phillips) and pay him for the next two years but still fire him. Unles they clearly have told DJ he's not coming back, what else could they say.

The Devil is in the details, and you are correct. This report can mean many things. Who knows? Maybe they'll make DJ Quality Control Coach for the Two-Minute Drill When You're Up By 3 Points.....

  6. You make it sound like the bills made this decision right after this game. If its true and he did sign the extension, it was offered to him and done around the Bye week when the Bills were 4-1 and leading the division, and looked great.

Still, after 6 games, were they worried that his price would go up if he kept winning? I wonder who made the decision to sign him. Now I know why RW is sarcastic about the Bills' future. If he had just a gleam of insight, he's probably saying "Great, I got another douchebag coach on the level of GW and MM, and mediocre talent....Now I have to eat this contract I signed 2 months ago and am out a bunch of money...." Can RW get DJ on breach of contract - making stupid decisions to lose games?

  7. Sorry to be a dick but all of you who think it was an ok play call are f'n retards. How in the world do you make that call when Marshawn has been a beast all day. Yeah in a goal line situation or 3rd and short earlier in the game I could see it. No excuse for that when there is ~2min left, you're in the driver's seat and its deep in your territory. Mind-boggling f'ing stupid.

Amen brother! Football 101....The percentages say a pass is riskier than a run in this instance, especially a rollout....Just pound our backs into the line....How can you put your QB in that position? OMG, they could of punted and put it on the Jets to score a TD to win.....

  8. i dont think the problem is Trent "not listening" to his coaches. I think the point of Vic/Trent's statement is that they are not providing him with the tutelage needed to grow and further his career.

it sounds more like he is saying "i need some REAL help here" and in return he is getting "well, just shut up and run the plays we call". developing an NFL QB is a long and tricky process. one that im not sure Turk and AVP are up to. how well was AVP developed? how well did he develop himself? you have to think that there are some things missing from AVP's "expertise". he might be a good x's and o's guy, or be able to tell you where the open guy "should be" on that play while its on paper, but bringing along the skills needed to EXECUTE is a whole other story.

It's up to TS and AVP to make this work. Is TE skilled and is it bad coaching? This is AVP's first attempt at QB coaching....I think it's a combination of bad coaching and poor depth....Still can't figure why JP is still on the team, would have loved to see an older, "fatherly" vet come in to help him and give us a shot to win when TE gets hurt....Don't think GH can fill the bill here....

  9. Still here? Still failing to understand the difference between bankruptcy and liquidation?

And of course, still refusing to answer the question ACor, me and others have been asking:

Why do UAW workers deserve to earn $5 more per hour than non-UAW workers? What skills or qualifications do they have to justify the premium for their services?

    Have time for some research?

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#28184396

The numbers given are bullc#$p. There are other factors involved in the misleading "wage discrepancy":

The inquity between the banker's bailout and the auto loan is enraging:

    http://washingtonindependent.com/21380/aut...ase-for-bailout

No one here has implicated the policies of the current administration as enabling bad business practices of the domestic auto companies. There have been huge tax credits for buying large SUVs for business purposes promoted by Bush's economic team. Since this administration laughed at the idea of improving fuel standards (which the Big 3 foolishly advocated against any increases in the CAFE standards). Why build economical cars here (even though they have been successful in Europe) when I can tell my workers to buy trucks with huge profit margins?

  10. Brandon: Unacceptable

TORONTO -- I spoke with Russ Brandon, the Bills' COO, outside the locker room after Sunday's embarrassing, 16-3 loss to the Dolphins. Brandon had this to say about his team, which has now lost six or its last seven and has not scored a touchdown in its last two games:

""It's unacceptable,'' Brandon said. ""We obviously got out of the gate very well, and to go through where we are now is unacceptable to everyone in the organization. And we're very disappointed.''

I asked Brandon if the "unacceptable" characteriziation applied to his head coach, Dick Jauron, who is under fire these days.

""I think everybody should be under fire in the organization,'' Brandon said. "We've built this team to make a playoff run and to be in the position we're in right now is ... is not pleasing to anybody."

Brandon would not discuss Jauron's rumored contract extension. I asked Ralph Wilson if he could clear up the contract issue and he said he didn't want to talk about it. When I pressed him and asked if Jauron would definitely be his coach next season, he said, "I don't know."

I think they assumed TE would perform well enough to allow this team a legitimate playoff run. They also assumed that the Jets and Phins would be mediocre. When Brady went down, they were probably giddy. But the essence of the team never improved. The OL underperformed, and having Stroud did nothing for the pass rush. Aren't they under the salary cap?

  11. At least there is 1 championship in Buffalo. Great for those kids, they played great. Gill is one hell of a coach. GO BULLS!!!

Awesome game! Can't buy the heart these guys showed! Ball St. was #12; I don't follow college ball, but I wonder what rank the Bulls are now...

  12. Right, but my point was that we had some of the highest played players in the league in the Super Bowl years and they got angry when they lost. They took it personal.

I get your point, though I'm not sure that getting "angry" over losing is relevant. Remember "wildman" Gregggg Williams? What I think is is the desire to perform above their level. I think Trent takes it personal but his style is more conservative. It seemed Trent did that against KC; I was impressed with Trent's desire to score two rushing TDs in that game. I think he is having serious trouble reading 3-4 defenses, and there may be some residue complications from the concussion.

  13. I thought the same thing, I even told my kid that. We don't deserve to be in the play-offs and even if we were to make it there I wouldn't hold any expectations whatsoever.

Playoffs? No way. The rest of the season is realistically practice for next year, unless you've drunk the kool-aid. Getting real sick of waiting for next year in the middle of November.

  14. ralph is playing us all for suckers. he'll never spend for winning players or a winning coach. we've all been had. he knows he can sucker us all because wtf else is there to do in WNY besides watch the sabres? admittedly, not much

Understandable why you come to this conclusion. But there is the possibility that the "braintrust" really thought that their team could compete this year. Then it's a case of the blind leading the blind. I say this not because I jumped off the Bill's bandwagon, but this theme has been repeated over the last 10 years.....groan.......

  15. It depends what locality you got caught in. The court/fine you were stopped in really matters. If it was Buffalo, if you plead "not guilty", you can really only win if the trooper doesn't show up. Other municipalities can negotiate. I believe "points" are on your license for about 3 years. If you happen to get more points withing the 3 years, the insurance company REALLY won't like you. To avoid this nastiness, you may want to research options. It may be beneficial to have an attorney handle this for you. You may end up with a fine but no points, and maybe school. At least you will have 0 points and your insurance co. will leave you alone. You then may get a discount on your insurance because you went to school.

    Good luck.
