  1. I remember when they used to proclaim how the internet would make everyone more informed when I was in high school
  2. Joe six pack is on his own level of stupid. Comparing him to 3rd is unfair to 3rd.
  3. Pretty much spot on.
  4. Speaking of Krugman... http://www.economist.com/blogs/freeexchange/2012/07/outsourcing
  5. Tonight on MSNBC, is Obama a dirty tax ch..., ummm Romney put his dog on the roof of a car!!!
  6. It's nice to have a new poster that isn't a troll. Welcome
  7. Watched the pilot. Seemed way too cliché. Doubt I'll watch the rest of them.
  8. There's a reason they call him the riddler.
  9. That's funny. Once again, it is not you or me who know what is best for society since everyone has their own interests, it is the pursuit of individual interest that makes society better off. My family in Europe pay a shitload of taxes and have great wealth but their kids, even with great backgrounds will have a very hard time making a good living if they did not depend on their parents because the government has their nose in everything. That is not as relevant here.
  10. That statement speaks wonders of the mind of a liberal
  11. It's great how you think I'm a lemming.
  12. Bitter much? I don't care how they did it but your jealousy is clear as water.
  13. That's your expectations. Mine are limitless and I guarantee that even if I'm making 50 times what I make now, I'll still do everything in my power to reduce my tax charges. One of the reasons Mitt is wealthy is because he knows how to make and keep his money. People who take the view of " i have enough money" usually end up being working stiffs their whole life who end up living paycheck to paycheck. As my wise mother once told me, never take anything for granted because you never know what life will throw at you.
  14. The new Liberal talking point is that Mitt is hiding his money in Swiss bank accounts and Cayman Islands accounts and that releasing his tax returns would "expose" this which is ludicrous since declaring illegal activity on your tax returns is just about the dumbest thing anyone would ever do, and if he was doing something illegal, wouldn't he be under investigation? I put my savings in a tax deferred account so I can "hide" it from taxation. I use the tax code as it benefits me. If I wouldn't, I'd be a moron. If the presumed future president of the United States can't figure out how to use the tax code to his advantage, could he really be trusted to run the country. Obviously you're trying to spin this as a loophole. There are plenty of loopholes in the tax code for everyone if you look close enough which is why 50% of the American taxpayer doesn't pay any federal taxes.
  15. If they are illegal, then why would his tax returns show anything? If he has the opportunity to get higher cash flows by using the tax code properly and he doesn't do it, I'd be more concerned than if he didn't.
  16. I think his head's going to explode
  17. Thanks. I got pretty drunk during the game and it hit me pretty hard. I realized how good this Spanish team really was. It bothers me to see them as the gold standard in soccer since I think the Italians could do better. Thank God I got to see one world cup championship and I seriously hope the club teams start playing their Italians instead of opting for foreigners. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jmpwr5K-lyY Respect to Casillas.
  18. Considerating the fatigue, the schedule and how they weren't even considered to be a factor in this tournament, I'm very proud of prandelli and his players. Spain is one of the best teams ever and no one can take that away from them.
  19. They made it look easy. Wow. Dead inside.
  20. !@#$ !@#$ !@#$ Wow this !@#$ing hurts.
  21. I'm !@#$ing terrified.
  22. I've been watching the national team since 1994 (1990 well but I was too young to appreciate it) and I don't think I've ever seen such a possession/attacking oriented Italian side. 94-2010, the teams were catenaccio + counter attack and it has been great to watch. Never seen such a solid midfield wearing the blue shirt. Pirlo/De Rossi have been fantastic and Montolivo has been much better than anyone anticipated. Like my best friend said yesterday, we got this far, have to win it now.
  23. Wish there was a few more days rest. I'm still worried about the overall team fitness. Sorry AJ, Germany's boogeyman is Italy. What a game.
