    WOW!!!

Thank you all for your response, I really needed that. From all the jokes to the well written 34-30 truth about the Browns and how we haven´t been as bad as we think. I still think we have had some really bad moments, but oh boy Browns fans really had it tough.

And now..with the Browns at 6-3 with a home game vs Pittsburgh on Sunday..after waiting YEARS And YEARS to be in real contention....Deshaun Watson out for the season. After having already lost Nick Chubb.

They start rookie Dorien Thompson-Robinson at QB.

Anyone else find it odd that this dude just made this account 19 hours ago after Dorsey got fired and has pretty much just ragged on how Josh is the problem since making that account?

Unrelated. Just how the conversations have evolved. Been reading for a long time, decided to join the discussions.

There is plenty of blame to go around. I don't think Allen is the only problem. I think I challenge the notion that he isn't one of them. And by one them..I just mean his current level of play isn't good enough.  You can complete 7 of 10 all day but if 1 of other 3 are consistently caught by the other team, its not getting it done.  Punts win games, INT/fumbles do not.

Most of all, i don't like what I'm seeing in his demeanor. Defeatist. Despair.  He's the leader of the team. Gotta show it at ALL times. He's one of the best QB's in the NFL. He's not playing like it right now. He's not acting like it right now.

  3. To be fair..not many teams get that stop. If a team needs a FG to win/tie in the modern NFL, there is a greater than not chance they're going to get the attempt. Whether its on their own, or aided by officials/calls, the ball is getting moved.

Great defense in the NFL doesn't mean what it used to. (though the trend of defense/run game seems to cycling back)

Maybe the Browns but I don't know if they have as many legendary heartbreaking moments as Us or the Sox, Cubs as much as they just usually suck

Seriously?? Instead of losing Super Bowls, they lost AFC Championship games as part of their games with names. Red Right 88 (divisional round), the Drive, the Fumble...then they actually MOVED. Ceased to exist, not knowing at the time the team was coming back. And when it did, because of how well the Panthers and Jaguars had done as expansion teams with the advantages they were given, the Browns were handcuffed severely in an attempt to correct it. As they experienced true expansion seasons, the the team that left just 5 years earlier WON the Super Bowl. Then did it again.. while they've endured two and half decades of futility as they've attempted to get back what was taken from them.  During that time, the coach that cut their beloved hero (Kosar), Bill Belichick, who was the coach when the team was stolen from them, won SIX Super Bowls. They had the Helmet Toss game with Dwayne Rudd. Bottlegate. They once lost a game by blocking a field goal too well..blocking a kick in OT at Pittsburgh on 3rd down but it didn't cross the line and the Steelers got to kick again on 4th down. They had to endure a winless season during a stretch where they went 1-31 amidst a larger stretch where they went 4-44. Since '99, theyve  had only three winning seasons, two playoff appearances,  lost a playoff game at their hated rival Steelers after leading 24-7 in the 3rd quarter and in their only other playoff season in 24 years, they couldn't attend the games because of a worldwide pandemic. The other winning season.2007..needed the Colts to beat the Titans on Sunday Night Football to get in, but the Colts sat Manning and played Jim Sorgi in the finale and the Browns were eliminated.

Losing 4 Super Bowls would be a crowning achievement for Browns fans..yet here people sit sad-sacking it like they've endured so much. That 6 plus years of Bills football was glorious. How many HOF ceremonies have Bills fans gotten to enjoy? How many playoff runs? How many playoff runs the last few years? Hell, even the almost seasons in Buffalo..all the 8-8's, 7-9's during the Bills drought would be enjoyable seasons for Browns fans.

Sack up people.  Bills are 5-5 and acting like the world has ended.

Being a Bills fan isn't for wimps.

I can't think of a fanbase who has had so many heartbreaks, and most of them are ones opposing fans can name.

Maybe the Red Sox before 2004?  Who else?  Cubs fans before their title?

It's a small group.  But I think we're at the top.  No team finds new & excruciating ways to lose like the Bills do.

I would think Browns fans might like a word with you.

Herbert is great but I disagree.

I guess it's crazy to me the people that want to move on from him.  Your opinion and mine don't differ too much.

Move on?? No way.  There isn't but a handful of QB's with his talent in the NFL right now. Think he's a generational player who can just carry a team to multiple Super Bowls? No.  Even Mahomes can't do that alone.

There is Mahomes........................................................................then that handful. That's where Allen is and unrealistic expectations of him aren't going to help matters.

Ok. I'm sure you'd trade him for much "safer" options like Derek Carr, Kenny Pickett, and Baker Mayfield. Good luck with that.

No. I'd do what this staff has attempted to do. Reign him in and make him a better overall QB.  He's not cooperating.

Mahomes has had major, major advantages over Josh team-wise.  This year not receiving corp but every other year.   Offensive line and coaching as well.  He's had one offense to learn his career so far too.

They are both generational qbs to me.  There are plays Pat can't make that Josh can and vice-versa.

Allen is closer to Justin Herbert than he is Patrick Mahomes.

For those blaming Josh;  have you ever seen a qb lead the team in passing and rushing more times in a game than him?

Yes he's turning the ball over too much.  No he is not the problem.   He's a generational talent.  That doesn't make him immune to criticism but saying he's at fault is crazy, emotional talk.

If he's leading in passing and rushing..thats a major issue with the offense. And if he's leading the offense in rushing and hurdling people, eventually your "generational talent" is going to be on the sideline taking up a huge chunk of your cap while some no name leads you nowhere. Because that no name isn't going to lead you in rushing and won't do much in the pass game either.

He's not a generational talent.  A generational talent wears #15 and plays in KC.  He's just a very talented kid with major holes in his game. Nothing wrong with that. He's one of the most talented QB's in the league. The problem is we're starting to see major holes in his makeup as well.  He's not handling adversity all to well.

EXACTLY.  This is the issue I have with the offense.  There are no major injuries (Knox aside) but they are unable to get into any sort of rhythm.  There is no reason for this team to be relying on the defense in a two-minute drill to protect a 1-4 point lead.  Against these mediocre teams like the Jets, Pats and Broncos, they should be spotting the defense a 21-30 point lead.  It's baffling how out of sync they are.

DC's are smart. Very smart. They watch the film. They take away what you want to do and force you to adjust and do something different. Its up to the offense..up to the QB...to make the adjustment and take what is left to them. Do that well and it forces the defense to do something else..opening up what you did originally..what you want to do.

Defenses know that Allen will throw it to them.  No need to readjust.  They know he'll beat them at times..a few plays here, a few plays there. But until he stops giving it away, they'll swallow their medicine on a few drives.

Guys..his game isn't growing. If he has to be "freed" and allowed to do what he wants, thats not growth. Because teams aren't going to let that happen.  You can harp on coaching all you want...and yes, coaches had issues..but Allen needs to grow his game. He needs to stop pouting and looking lost and moping through a press conference and the turnovers have to stop.

I don't think they will.  This is who he is. He's not a savior. He's a highly talented kid with major flaws. And teams are exploiting those flaws.

He's a Top 3 quarterback who isn't quite playing at that level despite leading the NFL in touchdowns.

    But that's a short-term problem.

Coaching is a much bigger problem and much more to blame for the 5-5 record than our elite quarterback making a few mistakes.

QB's turning it over at this rate aren't elite.

For JA it is. every QB is different with a distinct style. When JA is having fun  -- look I know he's a grown ass man paid to do a job, but by "fun", I mean getting out of hid head and ENJOYING the game and just letting things roll with his immense talent; he gets the team on a roll.

You can feel it. Mock if you want, but when JA is free to just PLAY the GAME he loves, there is a palpable difference in the product.

So he's throwing it to the other team and fumbling because he isn't free to play how he wants? He has more turnovers than games played.  And we wonder why coaches are trying to hold him back a bit?

Actually, IMHO, it was Dorsey who has SO clearly changed JOSH's game this year. It has been a thing of misery to watch week after week. Josh had fun ONCE last night; when he was allowed to RUN into the end zone. He was happy, and the team was happy...Soooo short lived though...

Is this what its about...having fun?

The Bills ran the ball just fine last night without Josh running around. Its not like a lack of a run game was hindering the pass offense.

That pick clearly shook Allen up and was in his head for a while... if he did throw the same kind of pick in the same kind of way in the same kind of situation, I could see why it would be hard to shake that off.

This is the REALLY concerning part, no?  He looks shaken. Your QB can't look that way. His demeanor at the podium..not good.

Have you considered that Allen's disinterest stemmed from a toxic relationship with Dorsey?

We don't know the root cause of Allen's sudden decline but there is no other single factor which was evident.

I can tell you that the QB's demeanor and the way he's carrying himself is pretty concerning, no?
