Ever since the preseason game at Carolina I've watched him on the sidelines. I think something changed midseason with him where he was just done and he quit on the team. There was a switch some time in week 10-11 that just showed he was "off."

A million monkeys on a type writer and 1 can guess something right and back it up with some thinking. In this case the monkey was some bearded suntanned chub who found his Internet browser one day.

    I'm not impressed.

I'm not here to impress you. You talked your **** and got put in your place. Thanks for coming now buh bye

Where there is smoke there is fire. People have been dismissing Diggs comments but it's clear he wanted out. The guy is a diva, and a clown.

Him and his brother publicly going after Allen. Loser. See ya.

It was pretty obvious to me when he was dropping balls and taking himself out on key 3rd downs during the second half of last season that he quit on the team and wanted out. His body language said it all. I was ridiculed by other people in this group. Time for Beane to go get a wr1 in the draft. I believe he will

While appearing on "The Danza Project," former Bills safety Jordan Poyer was asked about the drive in which the Chiefs tied the game.

"From getting the ball back without much time, without squibbing the ball, and then [we] give up a freaking screen that goes 30 yards down the field to Tyreek [Hill]," Poyer said. "We [were] just playing soft zone. And you look back and you look at the "NFL Films" and you just see really how much more like connected [the Chiefs were] and they were just way better than us in that time."

Poyer was asked about the soft zones, and it was pointed out that Leslie Frazier seemed to call a lot of those styles of defenses, but Poyer didn't point any fingers.

"You can point fingers here and there and elsewhere," Poyer said. "It was just an entire operation. There's not really one finger that you can point at all because it was the entire end of our game operation that wasn't good enough."

    Sounds like a McDermott issue

    https://atozsports.com/buffalo/former-buffalo-bills-safety-jordan-poyer-13-seconds/

McDermott should have been fired the next day period end of story. Any other owner would have canned the coach. There is no excuse for a NFL coached team to have that much chaos and stupidity happening in succession in that situation. He has proven it was no fluke as it continues to happen every year. Get rid of this guy before its too late.

Belichick wanted Brady gone...so after 2019, he was. They drafted Jones in 2021 after realizing that Cam Newton, Jarrett Stidham, and Brian Hoyer weren't gonna get it done 7-9 that season.

Like I said, I had my doubts that Buffalo could get past the Patriots, and when they did 47-17 in that playoff game IN New England with Mac Jones at QB. I then realized that Belichick was no longer the defensive genius he once was and was no longer a threat for the division title.

Things change... and who knows how long Andy Reid and the Chiefs will be that SB-winning team as nothing lasts forever. That division now has two real threats at HC in Jim Harbaugh and Sean Payton. Buffalo has beaten the Chiefs in KC more than any other team and now needs to have a defense that stays healthy all season.

Have some faith man! Buffalo has a very, very good HC that has had his team screwed by defensive injuries the last two seasons. Von Miller getting hurt really killed the team's pass rush at the end of the last two years. A youth movement was needed.

How long should MCD get? 10 years? 15? at what point would he be considered a failure? Just curious. I want to have faith. I really do but frankly the 13 second loss has left me very salty and he should of been fired the next day. With each year the pressure on him increases, fair or not. He doesnt come across as someone that handles pressure effectively. There are too many occasions where the Bills lose and we are all scratching our heads at the coaching decisions being made. If he did not have Josh Allen at QB he would be a losing coach. His winning record is a direct result of #17.

In that Denver game, the 13th guy was Leonard Floyd ...and McD stated that they practiced that over and over. It shouldn't have happened.

To the Bolded, I thought the same thing about getting past the Patriots...till that perfect game by Josh and the 47-17  win. The ONLY NFL team that has beaten the Chiefs a few times in the last few years at KC has been Buffalo.

I have faith that this coaching staff will get it done.

The Pats had Mac Jones at QB. He would have never got past Belichik if Brady was still there. Mahommes and Burrow have better coaches and will continue to own the Bills when its crunch time. Sorry to say it but its the reality of our situation.

I became a much bigger McDermott fan during the stretch run this past season.

The team rallied, and he was the leader.

It was great coaching and I believe he's a top coach in the league.

We will win a super bowl with him.

Was it  great coaching when we lost to Denver at home because of a too many men penalty? Was it great coaching losing to the Bengals at home in the playoffs that was over after the first half. Was it great coaching losing to the Texans in the playoffs after having a 16-0 lead after the first half. Don't get me started on the KC 13 debacle. He will never get past the Chiefs and the Bengals in the playoffs. He simply doesn't have what it takes.

My bias against McDermott is well documented.

Wondering how others view his post-season PC and recent interview calling critics narrow minded. He also stated its hard to win in the NFL. I recall a prior HC pilloried on this site for saying the exact same words.

My take on the PC was that he was very defensive. Without even being asked. He launched into a defense of his tenure as coach even dating back to prior seasons.

And now he calls critics narrow minded for wondering if the Bills will win a SB with him as HC. You have to belive at this point the thought has crossed Beane and Pegula's mind. He's trying to defend at best status quo to perhaps taking a step or two back from 13 seconds.

Then the most ridiculous statement of all.

"We're looking for Josh to really be that face of the franchise, like he's been, and continue to evolve."

I mean WTF. What team has he been coaching? Does he think Hyde and Poyer were the face of the franchise?? Is he trying to lay blame on Allen? Without Allen McDermott might be coaching DBs in Kansas City.  Was Allen on the field when the defense crumbled multiple times against Denver,Philadelphia, and others. KC only stopped themselves in the playoff game. If not for a goal line fumble the Bills are not even close in that game.

It may not seem that I'm open minded but I really try. I've gave McDermott praise many times last year.

So what does the board think?

For those that crucified Jauron how do you take the It’s hard to win in the NFL line?

For those that defend McDermott, what do you all think?

I agree with you on everything. McDermott has proven time and time again he is not a good in game coach. He panics when its crunch  time. He gets outcoached in just about every playoff loss they have in his tenure. It is hard to win in this league and its even harder to win in this league with the Reid/ Mahommes duo in KC. If i was Pegula i'd hire Belichik in a heartbeat. He would be a giant improvement over McD. At least we know the tam would be prepared every Sunday and not implode when the game is on the line.

Has he though? Honest question, has he personally been griping? Or is it more people’s perceptions and saying he has been griping?

He was excused from training camp on day one and Mcdermott said he was very concerned about why he left so there is that plus him storming out of the locker-room after the Cincy loss. These are actions of an unhappy player. I'm sure Diggs is smart enough to know personally and publicly blasting the team is bad business for him, especially the way he left Minnesota.

One of the biggest mysteries to last season was Diggs lack of production in the back half of last season.  His production must return in 2024 given his presence, role and cap hit.

This is not intended as a bash Diggs thread. Rather, what do you think happened nad how does it play into Buffalo’s draft?

I've posted a thread on this topic and irt was met with major criticism. I still believe he is a top WR in the NFL when properly motivated. My take is this he quit on the team. He has been griping about the way the team is run for 2 years now. I think he has a problem with Mcdermott's coaching style and possibly his personality . He has seen his coach lose to the Chiefs in the playoffs 3 years now. One of which was a heartbreaking, stunning loss when they had the lead with 13 seconds left in the game. IN the Philly game. this past season, he took himself out of the game on several occasions on third down with the game on the line. The offense is totally different and much easier to defend without him on the filed. People tried to tell  me he was winded or hurt. He is a well conditioned top athlete and prides himself on offseason training. The guy has a work ethic unmatched by a lot NFL players. He is not going to take himself out of the game because he is out of winded. You can see it his body language. He wasn't going all out for balls and had several uncharacteristic drops in the final 8 games of the season. Was he injured? He was never on any injury report. Correct me if i am wrong but that is illegal in the NFL for an injured player to practice all week and play without being on an injury report. His brother has been dissing the Bills and is probably constantly in his ear to get out of Buffalo. I simply believe he has become disenchanted with the team and wants out of Buffalo. The only way to do that is to force a trade by not giving your all in games and by giving hints you want out. This is the only thing that makes sense to me.

This has been on my mind a lot since my grandson forced me to watch the "Pro Bowl" competitions. My wife was there and said "Payton Manning is my favorite QB of all time, next to Jim Kelly" and I can dig that, I LOVED watching Manning play.  But it got me to realize how much I miss watching him play.  Along with guys like Kelly, Elway, Marino, Moon, Young, Montana, etc.

Many of us have been a Bills fan for a long time and we desperately want a Superbowl win, but are we cheating ourselves when it comes to Josh?  I say this because I sat back and thought about how much I missed watching those guys play and it hit me, Josh just finished year 6, how many more do we have him?  6-8 More years is my guess so he might be halfway through his career already, and all we can do is talk Superbowl.

Maybe we are missing it?  We have THE best QB (A pure generational QB) in the NFL and I think we want a Super bowl for us and him, so bad that we aren't just sitting back and enjoying watching him play, enjoying what we have.  I plan on trying to just sit back each game and enjoy with my grandson watching Josh just sling the damn ball around the field, and hopefully, we get a title in the process.

I agree with what you are saying. Josh is fun to watch and probably would have a Super Bowl by now if not for Pat Mahommes. The thing is I ain't getting any younger and all I want in this life is to see my Buffalo BIlls hoist the Lombardi trophy once before I die. Without a Super Bowl championship it all means nothing. We have all suffered enough. The fans need this. Josh is probably my last hope to see this happen. So please for all that is holy just win 1.

This whole Chiefs dynasty falls on one man and one man only, in hindsight.

    Sean McDermott

He is the one who traded the pick to KC that they used to take Mahomes because he "hadn't had time to study the QB class" even though his owner wanted Mahomes.

I literally felt like he should have been fired last night for making us all endure this. If Mahomes comes to Buffalo in 2017, he never turns into the QB he did.

It's a hard kick to my ball sack everytime Mahommes wins the Super Bowl. I just cant anymore with the rotten luck our teams have.

They won't trade Diggs, and shouldn't. I'd still give him another year or 2, especially if there's more talent around him

Diggs clearly wants out. He knows they wont trade him if is playing at the elite level we are accustom to. So he dialed back his effort the last 10 weeks to  make himself look like he has lost a step. He clearly was not catching balls he normally does and you can see in his body language that he was not giving his all. People all thought he was injured but he was never on any injury report. He lost his love for playing in Buffalo and he wants a reset somewhere else. I say they give it to him and trade him for his worth. He still is a great receiver and is unstoppable when motivated enough. You can get good value for him so its time to part ways with him. We don't want someone on our team that doesn't want to be here.

  15. Our sports teams  are cursed. There is no other explanation to any of our heartbreaking loses. We had Dominik Hasek. The best goalie to ever suit up for any team and we couldnt win a cup  with him. We had the early 90s Bills team that had 4 hall of famers on the team and they lose 4 straight super bowls. Now we have josh Allen and we cant even get to the Super bowl because of a guy named Mahommes, which we gifted to the Chiefs, when we were in desperate need of a QB in 2017. I personally am gutted and cant invest anymore emotion into this team. Every year its the same thing. Maybe the new stadium will lift the curse but who the hell knows.

Can we please sit back and take a second to think about how awesome it is to have Josh Allen as the quarterback of our Buffalo Bills

A very merry Christmas it is indeed

A legend in the making and a certified gangster on the football field... Josh Allen is the only player in NFL history with four straight 40 touchdown seasons

Over 100 years of NFL football and nobody has done what our boy Josh Allen has accomplished

A shout out to the firebaugh kid

Cheers to another decade and More in Buffalo

He is making quite the resume for the hall of fame I must say. Go Bills!
