Thanks for sharing. A few things to note:

    1. You can see how fast the seats go in. Just a month ago they hadn’t even started installing them.

    2. The progress on the exterior metal paneling is a concern. It’s a long way from done, and Winter is coming. On a related note there, you can see the top curved piece of the paneling is solid (not perforated). It closes the gap between the last row and the roof. That solid piece keeps the wind out of the interior.

    3. I’ll be curious to see if the grass goes down this month. On my tour, the Contractor said they were targeting October.

A close family member of mine that works as a safety supervisor of the project sent me a bunch of pictures of the seats going in yesterday. I asked about the grass timeline. He said they are expecting it to go in 2 weeks from now. I guess it is being sourced from an Amish sod farm in New Jersey.

  2. I only went down to Miami once for a game and that was the "heat" game of 2022. I went with my wife and a few friends that do a lot of traveling to resort type locations and it was a combo vacation week and hitting up a Bills game. We stayed at the Fontainebleau on Miami Beach, which it technically at Mid-Beach and a few minute Uber ride to South Beach (and a lot of good restaurants).

It depends on what you are looking for, but that was definitely more of a vacation style trip to a nice hotel and beach that ended up being fairly expensive. Not really the Bills backer's party/tailgate type of experience. I hear Ft. Lauderdale is better for that if that is what you are looking for.

As far as the stadium, there were Bills fans spread throughout. We sat a bit higher up, which at least had full shade from the heat, just not that close to the action.

Am I alone in thinking ties are kinda cool?!

They're a cool novelty & relic from the past when they used to be much more common. It's like spotting a non-native bird in your backyard or seeing someone with all their teeth in West Virginia!

It’s unique, but it’s not cool. Would rather always have a clear winner.

Tie was the way to go. They needed like 17 yards to get in the end zone. You’re just giving the game up to Dallas at that point because you have about a 10% chance of making it. Go for the tie as it might really matter come playoff time. It’s better than losing.

Yeah probably better to take the tie on the last play, but they felt like they were playing for it. Could have been a bit more aggressive for a few plays before that, unless they were hoping for a tie at that point.

Ah yes, Bills Mafia always so hip and open-minded when it comes to music LOL.

SB broadcasts are an abhorrent exercise in corporate marketing and promotions and many other things I find insidious and indoctrinating, so the SB halftime musical artist is not something I care about. However, it DOES reflect what young and emerging markets want to consume.

Personally, I enjoy being exposed to new things. Keeps me curious and connected to the world beyond the internet. Keeps my gray matter from stiffening and shrinking, I hope.
