  1. flew from DFW to SEA last week...as I'm going through security, I realize that I forgot to take out my toiletries. I was going to say "wait" but decided (since I had an hour to kill anyway) to just let it go...and I guess so did TSA.

That's the most common complaint - the lack of consistency.

However, it still amazes me that people don't know about the rules by now (hold onto your boarding pass, take off your shoes, toiletries in a baggie, etc). I was behind a couple of Israelis in Seattle and they laughed at our system.

  2. I've tried asking this question before and no one could give me a decent answer. Other than Jared Cook's impressive athleticism, what makes you believe he could be a perennial probowler?

SC alum here...Jared Cook was the best player on a team in the SEC (top competition). He was constantly double-teamed and for many games he was the only offensive weapon (McKinley - WR was hurt at times during the season). SC had revolving QBs - all who couldn't play in the MAC. Unfortunately, he was too impressive in the combine and now the Bills likely have no shot at him in Rd 2.

  3. I will be SHOCKED if Cook runs a sub 4.6 forty.

Cook ran the 40-yard dash in 4.37 seconds two years ago at USC, prompting Spurrier to compare him to Johnson, another tall, fast receiver.

    clocked a 4.37 40-yard dash with a 39.5-inch vertical leap.

Sorry that I didn't get the exact time right, but who can really measure .02 sec?

  4. while I admit that I went to SC for grad school, I also watch a fair bit of Big 12 football (wife went to KU and I live in Texas).

Jared Cook will be a better pro TE than Chase Coffman. Cook alternated between WR and TE his first 2 years (he ran a 4.35 40). He was one of the only consistent threats for the SC offense and with subpar QBs, he still had a great year. he'd make an EXCELLENT 2nd rnd pick at TE.
