Number 1 defense across the board entering today.  Suddenly now its terrible according to this thread while cleverly over looking that we were missing 2 critical players on defense in Edmunds and ESPECIALLY Star (against a run dominant team) and also continuously shot ourselves in the foot on both sides of the ball with bad penalties and turnovers.

They didn't even put up a fight, sorry 2 guys going down and it crumbles... Ok, then the depth is atrocious, either way it points to coach/ GM

  2. Regardless of how ridiculous this thread is McDermott's seat should start to get warmer with this awful loss.... He is directly responsible for the lack of effort and emotion in this game from his team.  That should be worrisome to any fan. This is now a trend starting the last few weeks and it's getting worse, not better.

He’s the number one issue. I’ve said it from the Steelers game. He doesn’t have it this year. It’s like he fell off a cliff and lost all confidence. He turned into Ricky Bobby after that huge crash

He should have a talking to by ownership.... It's one thing to play hard and lose it's quite another to have your team show up and get curb stomped and show no effort or emotion.

It should be a little warmer seat for the HC.

Agreed but the “Bills have played no one narrative” was being spouted from week 2 on. The narrative was being spouted before any actual #s were known. And it will be spouted til the end of the season whether it’s true or not. Which was my point.

Does anyone actually look at numbers.... It shows of the 4 afc division leaders we have had the softest schedule and the teams we have beat have mostly been terrible.

Just look at the SOS and SOV, it may have been a narrative at week 2 but after 8 games it's not.

I get it we can only play who is on the schedule but the point is, based on that schedule we should be winning more games.

Who gives two ***** about winning the division when you know you don’t have a team that can win the SB. We just lost to the worst team in the NFL, it’s over. Jacksonville is one of the worst teams that I have seen as a team in like 20 years. Any hopes of making a deep playoff push are gone, the SB is a ***** pipe dream

I'd say lions are the worst and not just using their record.... They just are bad

I watched several guys get through our OL in one second. I watched Darryl Williams let a guy through and block no one.

Yes for sure there were some of those but that wasn't happening every play.  There were times they held up long enough but it was either a slow developing play or Allen not seeing something he liked.

And for the love of God stop the passes behind the LOS, terrible.  We cant block but we are expecting our guys to get out in front on a swing or wr/rb  screen and block.... Laughable

The problems in this game begin and end with the OL.  They couldn’t pass block or run block.  Try scheming your way around that.

Um so you're saying Dabol has no plays in the playbook that are specifically designed to get the ball out quickly if you're getting tons of pressure? Or are you saying he was too stubborn to run these plays? Either one is not a good look for him.

If he has no plays, then he doesn't have a complete professional playbook.

If he has these plays and failed to call them because he was too stubborn then again that's on him.

I refuse to believe our OL is so bad (I know they are bad)  that they couldn't hold up on 3 step drop and ball is out passing plays.  These guys cannot and haven't shown they can block for 4/5 seconds and we still run plays like we think they can.

The problem is it seems he doesn't want to adjust and call plays that will help minimize the deficiency, just stay the course and hoping for a different outcome.....

What sucks is a alleged contender needs that play to beat a 1-6 football team that hasn’t won in the US for over a year. And was just skull drug by Geno ***** Smith

Yep, this.  A game against this type of team should never get to where a single play is needed to win it. There is no excuse for not easily winning by 14.

The offense is bad right now, real bad

It has to be. Think about it. We have Allen, Diggs, Beasley, and Sanders and respectable talent in Davis. We are winning (were winning) in spite of Daboll. The talent we have is good enough to win a super bowl, we are under performing and that is due to bad coaching.

The OL isn't helping matters this year, but even last year when they were playing well there were some head scratching games of play calling by him and it's not going away, almost seems to be getting worse.

But is that cause he knows the OL isn't playing well and is causing him to press too much with changing up the calls based on it's not working?

There are mistakes and mistakes.  If you make a decision to do something that is illegal and known to be dangerous, and it costs someone their life, do you think it should be treated in the same category as "a mistake" like shoplifting or breaking a store window or something?

No but should it be treated the same as someone who walks outside in cold blood and takes someone's life?
