I think he might have felt that way initially then had a talk with his coach and had the Breida/McKenzie angle pointed out to him, which is why he deleted said tweet very quickly.  He was greeting McKenzie every time he came off the field.

You don't know that the guy was "totally healthy" any more than you "know the coaches make certain decisions for the sake of helping a player's growth/humility even if it doesn't give them the best tactical advantage for a regular season game.

Right, because McKenzie finished out the game, therefore Breida wasn't needed.

Also, every game since, the run game has been a larger part of the game plan than 15 running back carries.

Other factor, because when he got his carries in a real game, Breida didn't make good.

    🤦‍♂️

Imma leave you to the enjoyment of the beautiful mental locale you inhabit, where coaches who are playing for the highest seeding they can get, bench players to motivate them "for the sake of helping a player's growth/humility even if it doesn't give them the best tactical advantage for a regular season game." (exact quote of what you said)

You're obviously not going to be persuaded by any factual evidence, quotes, absence of quotes supporting your viewpoint, common sense, etc.

If I felt McDermott believed that, it would explain a couple of wrenching losses we've had.  But I think this is just more stuff you're making up.

McDermott is the guy who says that if you start taking another team lightly you're gonna get your ass whipped, and there's every reason to believe that's his genuine belief.

If you're correct about McDermott and correct about benching players who offer a superior tactical advantage to "help their growth/humility" or motivate them, then we're gonna lose a bunch more games we should win.  That Is All.

I don't know about the NFL but when Ron Hextall was in charge of the Flyers they had a sign up that said something like "No one is above the team.  You play our way or your don't get ice time and we don't care who you are."  So they literally DID sit some of their best people for stupid disciplinary crap like trying to use skill instead of being muckers and grinders and making the coach look like the idiot he was. That kind of egotistical tyranny is what got Ron fired and Dave Hakstol is now running the Kraken into the ground. I certainly don't see McDermott doing something like that but I know all too well the NHL is full of dinosaurs so there's probably some in the NFL.

pats fans were def terrible,  alot still are.   chiefs fans,  at least their message board posters,   are the friggen the worst.   ive read posts about wishing injuries on other teams players,   personal attacks,  the list goes on.  i hope beyond hope that Bills fans keep it classy.

My one cousin who I thought was an intelligent and moral individual messaged me last year that he hoped Josh Allen broke a leg because he was scared of him.  This was before the regular season KC game.  I feel horrible that I cheered that team on in the Super Bowl after that crap. I wonder if his siblings back in KC are just as bad.

The Titans talked a lot of smack after they won and then rubbed salt in the wounds by trying to play the victim card over the game being delayed repeatedly when it was the Titans organization violating every single COVID protocol causing the chaos.

The game was on again, off again, on again, off again.  You’re playing the Titans, you’re playing the Chiefs, you’re playing the Titans.  You’re playing Sunday, no Monday, no Tuesday?  It all ended up with a Tuesday 5pm start that disadvantaged the Bills vs the Titans AND the Chiefs last year.  The Bills got screwed and the Titans received no punishment.

It was a crap move by the NFL.

And then the Titans laughed about it.

I guarantee the Bills are looking to settle a score here.

And the cherry on top was JuJu's Twitter crap.  Screw everyone on that team.  It's a miracle they all don't have COVID again because everyone I know that's whines about dealing with NY laws and mandates wants to run down to Tennessee.

Can't be any worse than Risto's passes to the other team in the slot.  PS Was pretty good last night, 3 blocks at least and only one wtf pass that didn't amount to a goal.  His outlet pass were pretty decent.

I still don't think they will win a lot, but if they play with the energy and smarts that they did last night, they are going to at least be fun to watch and that tire fire we saw last year may be gone... Also get rid of that whiny bum John Eichel just not to Bastan.

He does block shots, I'll give him that!  I'm glad you guys pounded the Habs so hard last night.  Now I fear the Nucks are going to do the same to Philly.  Atrocious grinder-worshipping coaching FTW

Hagg is starting as a 3rd pairing D.  He will be gone most likely next year.  As for the trade I guess it will depend how Risto fits in but it was

    surprising to get a 1st and a 2nd.

Hopefully you guys can make him a #7 ASAP unless he has some miraculous recovery. He's the guy that chases hits and takes himself out of position because he has no other talents. The fact that you guys got those high picks made most of us on my hockey forum scream with rage when it should've been Parade Day that Hagg was leaving. Please turn them into something good so there'll be more ammo to fire Chuck Fletcher into the nearest mediocre star.

And, yet, the Sabres have employed numerous first time GM's and HC's so I don't quite know what the point of your post is.

I don't know about the Sabres but many other teams just keep giving important positions to unqualified former players over and over and over.  The Flyers are poster children for this crap.  if you take a puck to the face for their team once, you too can eventually become the coach of their AHL affiliate. These are the types of guys that go nuts over blowing picks for 4th line plugs because of HEART and GRIT.

  7. 15 minutes ago, BuffaloBill said:

Meh, the Sabres situation is pretty much the opposite of the Bills. Too bad Kim & Terry can’t find the right GM coach combo for the Sabres.  They keep repeating the bad model of Doug Whaley and Rex Ryan vs. Brandon Beane and Sean McDerrmott.

If folks thought the NFL loved their Old Boy's Club, go check out the NHL.  You can get keep getting "fired" upwards as long as you tow the company line OR  you'll get passed around the league 90 times before people stop falling for your crap.  If you can appeal to dinosaur owners and/or GM's you're set for life.  Just preach "snot and balls, nose to the grindstone, pucks on the net".

  8. I won't have enough likes to pass around to all the others who have lost people.  I lost by grandmother around the Bills-Redskins Super Bowl (I drew her a pic of a Redskin cowering with a looming Buffalo in the foreground).  My father died the summer of 1994.  My brother died a few months before the playoff drought ended. I especially wish my brother held on a few years longer but his transplanted heart was 20 years old. It was already a miracle he practically doubled his lifespan and got to have a family.  I admit I wasn't too vested in the team for large chunks of the drought but it was either Bills football or no football.

Get that Lombardi for all that have gone before.  Let's Go Buffalo!!!

Well, they are paid to hate on the Bills. Come on... Did you exist in the 90's? X-files even hated on us... You don't need to believe me; here is proof:

I know... I'm old... But it's part of our "cultural heritage" to hate on the Bills.

Also, that kinda BS makes me love us, even more!

First X Files episode I ever saw and I screamed "I KNEW IT!" when that guy mentioned the Bills.

I think the reason why many college coaches fail in the NFL is that they actually aren't great coaches. Guys like Meyer probably aren't terrible, but IMO they are middle of the road coaches who can recruit the best players at the big name programs and therefore win almost every game due to having a huge talent advantage.

That obviously doesn't work in the NFL, thus Meyer's comment that "every week is Alabama."

NFL ball is about schemes, strategy, and execution of a game plan. You'll get a few games a year where if you have a Super Bowl contender team you have an easy week, but most teams are about even talent-wise.

Chip Kelly actually had a winning record in 3 years in Philly, so I would say that proves he's a pretty good football coach. I think Nick Saban being right around .500 in Miami with guys like Cleo Lemon and Joey Harrington at QB proves he is truly a good football coach.

Urban Meyer seems like a guy who needs that distinct talent advantage, otherwise he is exposed and walks away when things get tough.

Where were you when Urban was doing all this at the bar? It's literally your job to stop him! 🤣

Stay away from Rochester, they serve puke on a plate there.

Garbage plates RULE.  And we got Country Sweet for the last game.  Put THAT in your pipe and smoke it!

I've only been to Duff's and it was almost a decade ago.  I don't even remember what location but there was a huge guy that had to be a Bill clogging up the front entrance with a crowd.

Idk how we can complain about our extra opponent when we won the division last year and still got to avoid the best team in the nfc east by far and the patriots have to play them instead loll so the whole original post was wild 🤣

I bet whoever gets the Jets as an extra opponent isn't going to cry about it!
