  2. I was driving home from a gig late friday night and had the local college station on and HUM “I’d like your hair long” came on.  I never heard of them but really dug this song.  I listened to more over the weekend.  They were a mid 90’s band.    Here’s two good ones IMO.

Interesting.  When I got Atari 2600 as a birthday present, one of the 2 games I also got with it was "SUPER BREAKOUT" which you played with the "Paddles" and not the joystick.

Never really one of my favorites, but I played that damn thing forever.

There was a certain time (not sure exactly when) when I DEFINITELY would have regarded PITFALL by Activision as a "step ahead" of almost all competing video games at the time.  LOL.

    I LOVED THAT GAME!

Remember the "Tarzan scream" the thing would do when you jumped up, grabbed a vine, and swung over the crocodiles?

OMG I forgot all about the Tarzan Scream!     I played the S**T out of that game when I was a kid.

  4. Almost 50 and still gaming.   Started with Atari and now have PS5.  Some of my favs..  Pitfall, donkey kong, maro bros on Nintendo.  Had Sega and pretty much only played Double Dribble and Joe Montana Sports talk football.    PS1-5.  Gran Turismo, Call of Duty.    Currently playing DMZ on COD Warzone.

i'm not sure any of this is new.  if anything i've seen scaling down the weddings to save money, but maybe that trend is over.  a 50 person rehearsal dinner isn't big at  all if you have a large family.  i do however agree with the extended bachelor/bachelorette party.  there's no need to make someone take a 3 day vacation just to celebrate you getting married.

i think most people who have the big weddings would never do it a second time around.

You're right.   My first was the usual wedding, bachelor party, rehearsal dinner, wedding with about 150 people.    2nd time around, got married in Vegas and had a small family/close friends party when we got back.     Best part is it was my wifes 1st wedding and she wanted the Vegas and small party wedding.   Score

The difference being the broken leg was Wood's rookie season and isnt an "injury prone" type injury vs Hyde/Poyer both being into their 30s and getting lots of soft tissue injuries mounting up over the years.

NO ONE is saying Hyde/Poyer were injury prone over their career. But let's face facts, they are on the wrong side of 30 and playing one of the most violent positions in an already violent game. The thought that they'll both go injury free is simply naive.

I dont want them to miss games. I'm not knocking them for missing games. The reality is they are old and coming off major injuries. The FO and coaches better have a better plan for when they do miss games than they had last year.

It was doubly great because Josh made a similar (but much better) throw that actually went for a TD, and it allowed the commentators to discuss the vast differences between a stud like Allen vs a noodle-arm like McCorkle live and in real time.

I thought the Cheats moved the ball pretty well against us in that drive.  When Hyde made that play it was all down hill from there.   They were in the rearview mirror after that.
