Could you imagine how good the Bills would be if they would stop with these silly turnovers?  I was surprised when I saw how much they actually turn the ball over...I am not sure what the remedy is, it usually comes on careless type plays.  Almost like they think they are so good, they can just try whatever and it will still work out.  Like the McKenzie pitch in the KC game...he wasn't even looking for the ball and Allen still pitched it...

Only 4 teams with a higher percentage of their offensive drives ending in TO's...Rams, Patriots, Saints and Colts.

The only teams with 4 wins or more that have turned the ball over at a higher rate than 8.8% of their offensive drives are the Bills and Jets.  Scary to think how good they could be on offense if they stop turning the ball over.

Bills average an NFL best 6.6 Yards/Play, 7.6 Net Yards/Pass Attempt, Score on 46% of our drives, 3rd to Las Vegas and KC and have the highest Expected Points from offense in the NFL at 81.35.

This juggernaut could become even better. that's a scary thought.

The pitch in the KC game was a poor and unnecessary play call, IMO.  The Bills were moving the ball at will until that play.  That being said, I'm not sure it's Josh's responsibility to make sure McKenzie is making eye contact / looking for the ball before he pitches it.  I would argue that it's McKenzie's fault for not keeping an eye on the ball to potentially come his way on a designed option play.  What other purpose was McKenzie serving if he isn't keeping an eye on the ball?

Seems like an overreaction. Really disagree...I think it's rougher than ours.

@ Niners is a tough game.

Raiders nearly beat them at home. @ Broncos no joke.

Titans are tough, Jags giving people fits.

Rams are the SB champs and match up well. Could have OBJ by then. Even hags and Texans are not easy outs.

@ Broncos "no joke?"  Have you watched the Broncos play?  They've had 4 prime time games already and have failed to score more than 19 points in any of those games.  The Broncos are atrocious.

Geez you guys don’t think that a player can have a stinker? What about when he helped dismantle the Pats* last year? Did we forget that? Cut him some slack. How about Davis sun par season before last week? Should we cut his butt too?

McKenzie has largely been living off of that one great performance against the Pats ever since.  I was high on McKenzie before the season but he has not performed well at all.  Lack of awareness (not running out of bounds with no timeouts against the Fins, not falling on the fumble yesterday), turnovers, drops, falling on his face in the end zone on what should have been a TD.  I want him to do well but Shakir seems to have the "it" factor right now and should get a higher % of the snaps.

I'm not going to kill McKenzie for the fumble yesterday... that was just a bad playcall, weird pitch timing and then he tried to make a play instead of falling on it.  Whatever.

What we can't have, is a slot receiver that trips over his own feet on a 4th and Goal TD pass resulting in a turnover on downs.. only to drop another pass when we are backed up at our 2 yard line and needing a play to get out of our own end zone.

I think McKenzie is a decent slot wr who can give us some nice gadget/jet sweep looks, but hes just that ... decent ... Shakir in his limited exposure shows a much, much higher upside, and I think it's time to make the move coming out of the bye.   That doesn't mean McKenzie is benched.. I would just shake up the roles/snap allotment a bit to get Shakir out there more.

Agreed that the fumble was a very poor play call and was not executed well.  However, he needs to be held accountable for not having the awareness to simply fall on the ball, which would have (at least) saved a FG or possibly given us a chance to regroup and get a TD on the drive.  Agree with all of your other points on McKenzie, very poor showing from him yesterday in particular.   I think McKenzie is still living off the one stellar game he had last year when Beasley was out with injury.

Need to get Shakir a higher percentage of snaps moving forward...he has been impressive.

    Agreed. It's time.

McKenzie is simply not good enough to be a starting slot receiver for a Super Bowl contender. He's been the offense's weak link all season.

Yep, it's time to move to Shakir.  I was high on McKenzie before the season started but bad things seem to happen when he is around the ball right now...and he compounds mistakes with poor decision making (Exhibit A - Not falling on the ball yesterday after the pitch miscue on our opening drive)

I'm confused?  You get the ST together & tell them "We're kicking it short/squib kicking it, stay in your lanes".

How much more could it be?

Exactly.  That is such a critical situation the HC should have his nose in every single aspect of what is going on.  The fact that the coaching staff completely soiled itself on the kickoff and subsequent defensive series is making me more angry the more I think about it.  We even called timeouts and nobody had the common sense to not let Kelce and Hill run free off the line.  Gross

Until we get a running game this is what we will be. A one dimensional offense that can't win the big games.

A one dimensional team who plays its home games in an outdoor stadium…often times with inclimate weather.  When I saw the weather forecast for this one I knew we were screwed.  I can’t believe the front office didn’t do more to address the run game this offseason.

I take it you've never done employee scheduling.

It's far harder to bump a game up last minute than it is to push it back.  There are at minimum hundreds of job shifts that would have to be rescheduled just to accommodate one hour ahead.  It's not like a delay where you just pay them another hour because they are already there.  On top of the logistical nightmare that would be (keep in mind it is the weekend and people will be hard to get ahold of), there could also be legal issues with last minute rescheduling of shifts.  I don't know about KC but here in Ontario you can't just tell people oh BTW your shift tomorrow is changed.

That’s because the libs have Canada by the balls.  Can’t shift a schedule at a stadium that has 8-10 games per year, give me a break.  Now those employees can sit around til 4AM when the game finishes

Are you seriously suggesting that the Bills allow Allen to basically become a free agent before paying him?

The whole idea of reworking these contracts for your rookie franchise QB is to show him that he's your guy and to allow the team to get the most advantageous CAP friendly deal they can get.  To do otherwise would be insane on the Bills part.

There is a zero chance that Bean doesn't rework Allen's contract this off season.

Agreed...the longer they wait to work on Allen's deal, the worse it will be for the organization as Josh continues to increase his leverage.  They will get it done this offseason as they should...and it will look like a relative bargain in a few years as the price of even serviceable to good QB's (seek Kirk Cousins, etc.) continues to skyrocket.

It makes no difference.  To make it a two possession game, you have to get at least two two-point conversions at some point, so why not go for the first one right away?

For the psyche of the team and perhaps to put some pressure on the Chiefs, a 16 point game when they recover the onside kick is much different than 17 points.

Say they made the 2 point conversion...you are still down 15, which still requires two TD's, an extra point, and a 2 point conversion...so why not just make it a 2 score game immediately by taking the extra point, since you also need one of those if you are fortunate enough to climb back in the game?

It ended up not making a difference, but I'm surprised people are defending that decision.

Good grief.  That was the least of the problems.  You’ve got to get two two-point conversions so why not get one right away. Entirely defensible and correct to go for two there.

Ummm no...kick an extra point and it’s a 2 possession game.  You need two more TD’s anyway.  It’s simple math.  Going for it (unsuccessfully) and making it a 17 point game effectively ended the ball game.

You are right in that there were far bigger problems in terms of kicking two FG’s on 4th and Goal situations, only making KC punt once, missing an extra point, having zero running game, etc

    GBU...

    GOOD

    -Bass

    -Early 9 point lead

    BAD

-Allen...kind of had that same stare Kelly had in the SB blowouts...as in "what the hell is happening here"

    -Diggs

    -Offensive Line

    UGLY

-KC was like the bully in the playground.  The Bills got one lucky punch in early(9 point lead), then got sand kicked in their face, tossed off the top of the slide, and taken back into school and jammed in a locker.

    -Scheme against Kelce & Hill

-McD going for 2 when down 17 was embarrassing and makes me wonder about him in big games going forward

-Edmunds...I bet he would be really good at flag football.

Summary...I didn't think the Bills were going to win, but I didn't expect them to be embarrassed and blown out.  Disappointing end to a very good season.

Yep, going for 2 down 17 was absolutely mind blowing...compounded by the fact that we actually recovered the onside kick!  That is an unforgivable coaching decision.  Down 16 and there is at least a flicker of hope if we recover that onside kick.  Down 17 = game over.

    3 things:
    1. Allen choked in the clutch (taking terrible sacks, bad throws all game, including the terrible Int at 31-15)
    2. You don't kick FG's to make it 21-12 and then 24-15- McDermott! You go for it and score the TD!
    3. The most important stat here-
THE CHIEFS DID NOT PUNT ONCE after first series! The defense is terrible! Pathetic! ENOUGH SAID!

Agree with everything except I’m not sure the INT was 100 % on Josh.  The sacks for huge losses are the most infuriating thing to me because he seemingly has plenty of time to throw the ball away.
