His defensive coaching against Lamar and the Ravens in the 2020 playoffs win against them was great. Shutdown a Pro Bowl caliber QB who routinely burned opponents to 3 points. McDermott seems to have the Ravens number (beat them in 2022 too). That win in 2020 got us to the AFC title game. Allen didn't do much that game.

Other than that, nothing. Allen has carried us in other post season victories.

Thank you for the response. I agree, that was a well coached game by Sean

  2. I want people to list off some of McDermotts best coaching moments that you can remember which directly impacted the outcome of a game in a positive way. You guys think McDermott deserves another year? Prove it and post each scenario/evidence as to why you believe McDermott deserves another shot.

  3. We all can see it and don't give me that bull#### that this is "who he is". His confidence is completely shot and he looks despondent and frankly depressed on the football field. Is our QB's mental health OK? i say this in all seriousness, what happened to the fiery Josh Allen his rookie year when they scored a touchdown vs the Chargers in his first start. Where is the Josh Allen that was oozing with emotion during the divisional round game vs. the Chiefs. Can you imagine how he feels after time and time again he drives the team down the field with almost no time remaining just to have Mcdermott ***** his pants. Examples would be the Hail Murray and 13 seconds. Not to mention the games this year. It seems like even if we score with ONE SECOND, we will still miraculously find a way to lose and the mental toll that could on Josh would be huge as he needs to constantly have the team up by two scores or were screwed.

This is the TB Game. Look at how flat footed he plays. There are a couple of plays where the DTs get worked back to him but man doesn't flow downhill at all on run plays. He doesn't process.

What about the play where he tipped a pass on 4th down and completely changed the momentum of that game?

I think its been stated a billion times in this thread.

But just in case you missed the first 24 pages.

THERE IS NO WAY HE'S GETTING PAID $120 MILLION OVER 6 YEARS.  NO CHANCE.  NONE. ZERO.

The contract could just as easily be for $500 million over 6 years, with the last three years being salary of $150 million/year.

Hate to break it to you, but this isnt Beane's first rodeo.  Its his job. Call me crazy, but I'm betting that this "overzealous and inexperienced GM" knows a bit more about NFL football an cap management than you.

Agreed, it isn’t just 6 years 120 straight up, there will be nuances with the contract.

He had 26 targets all season.  Can't do much when everyone else is getting playing time over you.

    And to extrapolate that.

Beas had 116 targets for 8.5 per reception.

Mck had 26 targets for 8.9 per reception (this doesn't include what he did in the running game with the soft backward tosses).

I think he is mediocre at best. There is a chance he doesn’t make the roster.
