Where are the politics in game highlights?

And my point is you either think politics have no place, in which case you are naive or you are laisez faire and say allow it in, or you take the view a lot wish to take which is "only politics I agree with".

Congrats... you agree there are no politics in highlights. I knew you could do it

No.  If I was looking for a sympathetic shoulder I wouldn't have joined.  So we're clear.

Whatever is stuck in your craw: post it.  Or start a thread in PPP.  If it's so bad that you know that you would get banned, then that's your answer.

You almost had me, you stalwart detective!

In theory it doesn't but in practice name me a multi billion dollar industry that is apolitical? There isn't one.

In presenting a game, showing highlights, and talking about player’s performances/potential... there doesn’t need to be any politics. Just saying that everyone does it, so we should inject our point of view, is malarkey.

From experience....they hate it when things get political or off the rails on TSW.  The PPP is probably what you are looking for.

90% of this board is PPP if you agree with the far left... the moment there is a counter argument, that’s when people get up in arms

    Holy man child going on.

Someone needs to get off their high horse a bit and come back down to earth.

What is your major malfunction anyways?

Josh is a smart guy, and the leader of a football team, he has to keep everyone happy with every interview. An in today’s climate, he has to acknowledge the movement as being right and just.

While Elvis invented rap as everybody knows, the black community really drove the direction and advancement of rap until Vanilla Ice entered the scene and made the genre completely uncool for a number of years.  DMX and his provocative barking ultimately revived rap music as a legitimate art form in 1998 but it has been all down hill from there.  Cole Beasley is also a rapper and confessed person who loves to rap.

    The more you know.

The Beasty Boys were key to getting Def Records off the ground, strictly because they were white... they need credit for the whole genre... without them, who knows what would have happened.

Lol, no.  My bad.  Figured you were a buffalo transplant.  Most of the Bills fans I know that love here are from back East.  I can see why you wouldn’t be upset to see the hometown team win.

I think I’d be a raider fan if I was born here, but I suppose that’s impossible for me to know.

The Bills will always be #1 for me. I even painted my sons room with Bills pinstripes and Fat heads... with trophy shelves of bills memorabilia and autographs. I make my wife Son and daughter all wear Bills colors and gear every Sunday during the season... even to church

People seem to feel the divide is already there, That kind of being the point of the whole "ongoing demonstrations after the cop is arrested" thing?

"let’s not get it twisted. The social upheaval we are witnessing is not about one horrific incident in Minneapolis. This has been building up for years, decades, generations. We can either confront it for what it is and make it an inflection point in the arc of our nation’s history, or we can become complicit in the perpetuation of our disease because we refuse to admit we are ill. This time may be different. I pray that it is different."

You are personally responsible for giving people infractions for this kind of political nonsense that you are doing. If you are left and woke, this board is all for it. But if you have a counter argument, you will be suspended and banned... communism here we come, yikes

I was suspended yesterday.I guess I better not disagree with the BLM again.

So was I... or maybe I wasn’t... Does it seem like a few of the mods here are very LEFT leaning and want to stifle any counter arguments? It seems they have a happy trigger on anyone who has a different opinion than their own.

    For real?  That doesn’t compute

I lived my whole life in Vegas... dad liked the Cowboys because of Landry, mom didn’t like pro sports, only Washington State Cougar football. Brother liked the dolphins cause of Marino, and I fell for the Kelly 90s Bills. They were red, white, and blue, always on TV after cartoons on Sunday and kicked butt! But I love anything Las Vegas related... Aviators, Thunder, Aces, Posse, Outlaws, Stars, 51s, Rebels, VGK, now the Raiders. I even played for UNLV football for 5 years(red shirt included). I love Vegas sports and will always root for my home team... but the Bills trump that, hope that doesn’t offend the fickle moderators of this board, saying trump

    1) he’s talking about real performance on the field

    2) probably the same offense in which Allen attempted 461 passes in 15 games last year. He might see a 5-10% increase as he moves into his 3rd NFL season, so maybe he’ll trend toward 16th in attempts instead of 21st

    3) did you watch Gore last year? He’s done. By virtue of being able to move, Moss will likely be a big upgrade.

Definitely agree with the Gore comment. I would say Gore was probably the worst RB that took snaps for any team the last half of the year.

  11. I watch sports for entertainment and not to be preached to. Same as for when I go to the movies. Hearing athletes and celebrities opinions on anything other than their craft is not what I want. There’s a thousand places I can get political commentary... and a lot of the time I just want a break from all that hoopla.

I am actually avoiding almost all sporting news now, because it is not about sports. I find myself watching renovation, cooking, and house hunting shows now because they usually leave all politics out.

It would be different if there was only one news station I could turn on and didn’t have options to hear different commentaries on the same subject. But there is political news for every opinion and view 24hours a day. It doesn’t need to be in sports also. If an athlete wants to express his/her opinion outside the game, so be it... but injecting it into sports broadcasting/shows, I lose interest real fast.

    Hey fellas, first time poster..

How is it even possible that I can't just buy some face value tickets for an away game in this new stadium in a city that hasn't even had an NFL team before??!!

Also, what is this secondary ticket market?  Stubhub?  A little help here?

    ---Rip Van Winkle

It’s Vegas... hottest ticket in the country. Our middle of the year, weekday VGK hockey games sell out... at hundreds of dollars per ticket. Now think NFL in Vegas with only eight games. Those Tickets are like gold.
