If we wont the Chiefs will, Mahomes and McDuffie come to mind. Doubt they pick at 32, they will jump ahead of us and take McConkey or whoever. Only way you get ahead of that is making the power move yourself.

A few players would have changed the strategy at this spot if they hadn’t already come off the board in the draft. LSU receiver Brian Thomas Jr., Texas receiver Adonai Mitchell, Iowa defensive back Cooper DeJean, or even Texas defensive tackle Byron Murphy would have been the pick at 28. But all four players were gone.

Pick no. 36: Bills select T’Vondre Sweat, DT Texas
The Bills have their three-technique pass rusher, Ed Oliver, on a long-term deal. So, with the first pick in the 2024 draft, Beane goes after a space-eating run stuffer who showed off down in Mobile, Ala., at this year’s Senior Bowl. Sweat may not get out of the first round.

Random side note. Since Bates was a UDFA, if we had simply not matched Chicago’s original offer and let him go, BUF would have gotten no draft compensation. Instead they got 1 year of starting play, 1 year of backup depth and a 5th round pick

Non exclusive tag: He can still sign with another team, Chiefs can choose to match it or not.
