Ah yes, the classic 'blame the globalist communist fascist thugs' angle and not the POTUS who was in the office to prevent it. Always a crowd-pleaser. As for the tax plan - sure, eliminating taxes for those making under $150K sounds great but I’m sure the trickle-down theory will totally work this time... just like it always has, right?

Sentiment here not aging real good

You’re comically brain washed. Some third rate paper throws up a story by some third rate X poster and that discredits what every global news outlet has reported?

The truth is probably in the middle but even that is probably hard for you to manage emotionally. As even your source never said it was destroyed. They said set back.

Trump and his grand rhetoric are why we are here. He said it was completely destroyed. Which leaves a big hole that anybody can come into. Now both sides are going to say the other is lying. It’s not completely destroyed. Yes it is, well mostly. Well mostly isn’t completely. CNN, fake news.

This country is such a laughing stock. How could it come to this.

Actually, the Country was a laughingstock when we had the Emperor Has No Clothes Biden Administration flailing about pretending like they knew how to govern.

Who CARES if the strikes against impermeable Nuclear facilities weren't 100% perfect?!  Now the Iranian leadership knows what can happen if they step out of line....and the war is over, Ukraine likely next, Europe is increasing their Defense spending to 5% of GDP

Our only problem is the nutty Leftists in THIS country are so stupid (NYC election) they may implode us from within..

    Geez, the TDS is insane!

I for one am just glad he’s spending time - as POTUS - focusing on the big important issues everyday Americans are facing, just like he promised:

    Getting rid of paper straws.
Changing the name of the ***** Gulf of Mexico.
Claiming to want to annex both Canada and Greenland. But don’t worry, he’s just trolling (as the president of the United States).
Telling Palestinians to just go find somewhere nicer to live. Easy peezy!

Democracy is not dying, you’re right. In fact, with a record of accomplishments like those listed above, we truly are heading towards making America great again.

Mortgage rates spike up to 6.93%, highest since July.

Explanation: inflationary fears due to expected Trump policies.

    Very Wrong

Inflationary cycles that get spinning last for about a decade.  The Biden administration has destroyed the economy through their inflationary spending, all the secondary effects such as Insurance, etc are now bludgeoning corporate and personal budgets that were already stretched very thin.

The bottom line is prices are up dramatically more than the Biden Administration has let on, like +40% vs. their absurd 20% number.  And the Economic data has been much worse, for instance we've been in an Industrial Recession for 2.5 years and the 60% of Americans have been in a Recession all that time as well, day-to-day spending buttressed by Private Equity driven pay-as-you-go lending that will come home to roost.

The Trump Presidency will not have time to see positive results, it will be a four-year battle (the Fed won't be able to further reduce IRs as Inflation re-accelerates).

What the Fed is saying from here is that, because prices are actually much higher than acknowledge, we actually need prices to go DOWN.  That means a Recession (hopefully not a Depression).

Inflation expectations are certainly not yet baking in "Trump policies"

3 hours ago, The Frankish Reich said:

So why have treasury yields spiked since the election?

Wrong.  Treasury yields initially baked in Fed IR cuts before they did so in September, because Markets assumed the Fed would undergo a rapid rate-cutting cycle because we are really screwed otherwise...

However, Bond markets are their own animal, and the biggest danger was that the Fed lost the long-end of the curve, because smart Bond investors don't by the absurd Biden Admin corrupted BLS data that says prices are "up 20% in three years" and the Jobs numbers are fine (boosted monthly by Gov't hiring, but yet they tell us Federal Gov't employment is stagnant with 20 years ago, LOL).

So Treasury yields have been driving higher since Sept, around the first Fed Rate cut, because Bond investors realize that Inflationary cycles last more than 3 years, they are 10-year monsters, which is why you should never do what the idiotic Biden Administration has done to us

Joe Brady may very well go down as one of the greatest offensive minds in the history of football. He has done what no other team in the history of the NFL has done...become prolific in a historical context with no true #1 WR, no 1,000 yard WR and no 1,000 yard rusher thru 16 games.

Essentially, he has created the NFL version of "Total Football" that was pioneered by The Netherlands with their great "Orange Crush" teams of the 1970s with Johann Cruyff as their star. Anybody can be the "go to guy" in any given week, and anyone can make the key play.  You cannot simply "take away" one player, the Bills offense is diversified in a way that no other offense has been in the history of the NFL. Just like on those Netherland teams, they don't have true "positions" as thought of by other teams. People are lining up all over the place to create matchups that favor the BIlls dependent on who they are playing.

Think I am going too far?  I am not. Consider:

    1. Points per drive. The 2024 Bills are averaging 3.12 points/drive - In the history of the NFL, only the 2007 Patriots have averaged more at 3.19.  The only other teams above 3 are the 2018 Chiefs, the 2013 Broncos and the 2001 Rams.  All of them featured multiple stars and HOF players.  We are essentially doing what the most prolific offenses in NFL history have done without the supporting casts to do it.
    2. 2024 Bills tied an all-time NFL record with 8 straight 30+ point games.
    3. 2024 Bills tied an all-time NFL record with 13 different players catching a TD pass.
    4. 2024 Bills set a franchise record for most points and TDs in a season and have the highest points per game at 31.8 thru 16 games
    5. Josh Allen leads the NFL in EPA/play
    6. 2024 Bills set a franchise record for 40+ point games with 4
    7. 2024 Bills set a franchise record for 30+ point games with 12

Brady is the very definition of doing more with less and doing it in ways where no one person can be keyed on by the defense, meaning they have to be prepared for anyone to beat them at anytime.  This was never more apparent than during the Lions game when Ty Johnson, a 3rd down RB was our leading receiver with over 100 yards, our "#1 WR" Amari Cooper wasn't even targeted and the Bills rolled up 559 yards of offense and 48 points and were so unstoppable that it forced the opposing coach to try a desperation onside kick with 12 minutes to go in the 4th quarter only down 10 points.

I am not sure there has ever been a better job done at OC in NFL history considering what Brady had to work with and how he fit together his gameplans to attack the opposing teams weaknesses and create an ever shifting target for who they would try to stop on offense.  The level of absurdity with how good this offense has been with a bunch of "no names" for the most part on it is absurd.  Patently absurd. If Brady does not win assistant coach of the year in the NFL, they should just throw the award away because it has no meaning.

I love our three interchangeable RB platoon

This post is a general question and not directed at you...

With NFL roster limitations, and such, what is a reasonable % of players that will be needed in the Wild Card round that would have to suit up Week 18 for Buffalo?

I mean, that's a strong case for Bills to forfeit....(Not that I'm advocating that, but if they're not "playing to win", then...)

So Bernanke told you that 20-100% tariffs on all imports is a good thing?

No, they are simply an Economic tool and now a Leftist talking point because they have nothing else to cling to...

We've already BEEN THROUGH the Tariff calamity being predicted...

Certainly, the Biden Administration has torched the world with its wreckless spending, but I'm sure cooler heads will figure it out.

Only if you understand basic economics.

If you don’t, maybe tariffs magically reduce prices.

You guys really aren’t sending your brightest.

LOL, I took undergraduate Economics classes from Ben Bernanke, but I don't know basic Economics.

Y'all are out of your league, I'm sorry that your world is coming crashing down (thank goodness), it must be hard.

Here's the thing, you'll be OK.  We all will be, thank goodness.  All due to some non-voter-fraud this time around.

Tariffs are temporary, perhaps you haven't studied

The prosecutors, in this case, are really bad people, unfortunately.

  11. Whatever insane secretive cabal is running this nation is truly Evil.

Forcing Ukraine to lower their draft age from 25 to 18, so they can get ALL their young men killed so we can sell them more weapons.

Just fantastically evil people that even I didn't dream they really were, but here we are.  What monsters.  Get out of here.

Finally, somebody looked it up. The US produces sweet crude oil. Other countries produce sour crude oil. In the early 2000’s US refineries switched to refining sour crude oil, it is cheaper to buy. The oil companies sell the sweet crude oil to other countries at a nice profit. It is not cost effective for them to switch their refineries back to refining sweet crude oil. That is why we import oil.

a few years back there were 9,000 permits that companies were granted to drill, they did not drill. Why? They are in business to make money. If it is not profitable they will not drill, it cost millions to drill a. Why would they spend millions to drill to lower oil prices? They won’t, they like high oil prices, it is profitable and less hassle than drilling. There was arguing over the 9,000 permit number, but it in half, I don’t care. The bottom line is there was a ***** tone of permits issued that didn’t get used.

and the US produced more oil per month under Biden than under trump. Look it up.

In a state of shock, I will give credit for the first sensible post I've seen here from the Left in like 3 years.  Well done

I'm just going through this thread laughing as if Gaetz resigning is some sort of Democratic victory.  You just lost the presidential election and Republicans won a majority in the House and Senate.  It's like bragging that we scored a field goal down 58-0.

These people really need help...I would like to help them...

It is UNHEALTHY to care this much about the Federal Gov't.  THAT'S THE WHOLE POINT

The Center-Right citizens and people on here who have been fired up were fired up because the Radical Left of this country, as currently personified by the Democrat Party, were seeking to destroy this great nation via horrendous mismanagement of our National Balance Sheet, our Foreign Policy, our Border Policy, our Fiscal Policy, our Social Contract, yes pretty much everything.

    For example:

A Boy is a Boy, a Girl is a Girl, if there are some who have mental illness about their situation, it is dealt with on a case by case basis, NOT by some NATIONAL law or movement.

There should be a fairly brief period of expeditiously unwinding whatever the Leftist Biden Cabal put into motion, then a period of selectively correcting excesses and abuses (as ANY normal entity, business or government, should do periodically but has never really happened here)...then we should settle into a period where the Federal government becomes LESS IMPORTANT in your lives because that's the way it was supposed to be and for good reason!

I do realize the irony of posting something like this...like telling people to go get a hobby or whatever....But remember when there were no like Cable News channels about "Government"?!

We should be back to that era, where you simply don't hear about or care about the Federal Gov't as much as we have lately.  Simple as that

5-10% of the country who voted for Biden in 2020 either decided to vote for Trump or not bother voting at all. The difference in this election was the tone deaf response by the media and democrats to people going through issues with inflation, unemployment, and safety over the past four years. People do not like being dismissed even more than they do not like an obnoxious leader.  This is what it came down to. Had the dems run on anything positive or been more proactive in replacing Biden with a better candidate, it would have most likely been a different story.

Ahem, it should be obvious by now that 10% of Biden's vote was just plain cheating.

As was the set-up Insurrection (10% of the security for Antifa marches for a much larger crowd, throwing flash-bang grenades into the crowd, etc
