Can they get out of the contract they gave Russell?  They traded all those picks and the new contract even in the lowest  days of the drought have the Bills ever had such an inept signing.

Yeah they can get out of it no probs… only $125m guaranteed so just need to adsorb a $100m dead money hit over the next two years or something like that.

  2. I think you’re on to something here.  Doesn’t take a genius to imagine the cost savings that can be had here by firing the medical staff and replacing them with average recovery times per Google, not to mention the added convenience of knowing weeks in advance exactly when your players will be available again.  I don’t want you to get too excited but I reckon you can bank on a Nobel peace prize.

You are absolutely Correct in this assessment. When they interviewed lafluer on the sideline the only thing I could think was this guy has no clue about football.

He seemed genuinely confused when asked what approach they were going to overcome a 17 point deficit, as if he suddenly realised he was responsible for working this out.  I did enjoy his preferred approach of just pretending the score was 0-0 and hoping for the best.

That game was a Crosby missed FG and fairly weak OPI call from being tied.

As I’m sure you know, nothing works like this because if the OPI flag wasn’t thrown then every single play that happened after it would have been completely different as every decision made by everyone that mattered would have been made on the basis of a different risk profile.

I know the narrative from some posters is that the Bills gameplan all along was to allow the run.

    But I highly doubt it.

I highly doubt McD and Frazier wanted to see the Packers rip off 5 to 10 yards per rush.

It also makes no sense since the Packers have little to no passing game right now. Rodgers looked like he could barely complete a pass the last few weeks.

So we decided to let them run instead? Makes no sense.

Literally no one thinks the plan all along was to allow the packers to run the ball for 200+ yards, the point is that there was no need to change our defensive scheme to try to force the opposition to stop beating themselves.

The Packers basically became Army out there all that was missing was Rogers running the triple option.
It was a bizarre game plan and the Bills just kept staying in their cover 2 shell and didn’t really seem to care. If the Pack had 10 minute drives.

One thing it does do. It puts a lot of pressure on Allen to produce points on the drives he gets and if he’s even a little off like late 3rd/4th quarter then the Bills have issues.

Issues like only winning by 2 scores?  I’ll take those issues. Sign me up.

Idk, Jaire Alexander seems to think he won yesterday.

He seems about as mentally stable as some of our fans.

We are one of the best, if not the best second half teams in the NFL....this thread lol.

imagine if we weren’t the best though, imagine if we were the worst, wouldn’t that be something?

I’m talking about two very realistic scenarios that could have severely impacted the game.

One was a ticky tack call that wiped a TD off the board.

And the other is GB just converting just one 4th and shorts.

400 yards to 370 and 34 minutes to 26 minutes for GB.

If someone told GB that script before the game, they would sign up for that in a heart beat.

Now the difference? Bills made a couple clutch plays and got a little lucky on the OPI

But not exactly what you want when you’re the heavy favourite

Pretty sure GB would not have signed up in advance to losing 27-17 on the basis that if things had gone differently they might have won, but perhaps do a survey of their players and coaching staff to find out if you’re not sure.

If you don’t like winning it’s not compulsory to support the Bills.  The Texans are available.

Several gimmicky (Josh Allen pitches near the goal line) and fluke (see broken coverage in long touchdown in KC game) touchdowns for Knox last year.

Man, I hate those gimmicky TDs.  One is bad enough but several...  Can’t stand it.  Vanilla TDs are worth 7 gimmicky TDs.  And don’t get me started on all those flukes.

From the Bills standpoint, all they're lawyers needed to do was say to the victim's lawyer "give us everything you have." It sounds like the victim's lawyer was happy to provide it all and there would've been no reason to get into a room with them.

Why would they need to do this?  The allegations have been set out in detail in the civil suit.

The team wasn’t conducting a criminal investigation, that is for the police to do. The was conducting due diligence on an employee.  I imagine they were essentially assessing whether his account of the incident amounted to sufficient reason to cut him regardless of what he is alleged to have done.

So by rule he would be put on the waiver wire. What's to stop the Lions from claiming him? If Beckham was disgruntled in Cleveland will be happier on the teams with the highest waiver priority? I just don't understand what he is hoping for.

I doubt the Lions, or anyone else for that matter, want to pick up his current contract.

  12. I never bug Bills players when they are out in public as I live in Australia.

Just an observation on this though - if you’re a sports star you’re gonna get interviewed by lots of journalists and you’re going to have to provide answers to their mundane and repetitive questions - but it’s best not to say “the worst thing is having to answer inane and repetitive questions from unimaginative sports journalists”.  The loss of privacy thing is a good generic answer to give to a standard off the shelf interview question, probably a stock answer from a handling the media training course - it doesn’t necessarily mean the person who says it is actually bothered about it in a material way.

  13. Just don’t understand the logic of giving up draft capital of any sort for Flacco - let alone possibly giving up a 5th.  Surely better to just let their backups play and lose.   At best Flacco might narrow the margin of inevitable defeat in a couple of games by 3 points or something.
