Just the defense the offense has got it down especially if the players they got this year are as good or better than last season, if the D can just stop the opposition from 1 score per game the Bills are in the big game ...

Agreed, the biggest factor has been our D in the playoff's.  By this I mean it has been missing in action every playoff run year after year.  This phantom missing "D" has cost us, and all from a defensive minded head coach in charge of this team.

Ughh.....   How much more of a leash do you give McD anyway.  If he can't put it all together and get us there, then he needs to go.

  2. To be honest Coleman is not the answer.  He will do a little better this year but nothing mind blowing.  It all comes down to our D Line again.

You have to be able to get the opposing QB on the run and sack him.  The Eagles did this to KC.  We did not.  Our team has failed every year in the playoffs because of this lack of D pressure.

No QB pressure when it counts in the playoffs equals losses every time.  That is why our receivers are so important.  If we cant get the opposing team off the field in a single series of downs.  We need wide receivers that can make the clutch catches and make YAC yards.  Right now Shakir is the only guy that does this.  Coleman has no speed and we signed two more receivers to try and come in and make a difference.  Elijah Moore & Joshua Palmer.  It goes to show that the  faith they have Coleman is not what everyone thinks it is.  I hated us signing Coleman but that ship has sailed so long ago.

All we can do is hope he puts on his superman cape and pulls some sort of miraculous 2nd season performance out of his butt this year, with this team.

We just need to find 3 receivers that when we put them on the field together they wreak havoc on the other team's D and DB's.

We have not had that in the JA era.

  3. Yes and no, he is important to the team but is he worth 15 Million, no way..  He is no Sequon Barkley or Jahmyr Gibbs by any means.   Barkley is a better running back by every metric.  Jahmyr Gibbs is a much more explosive back and runner than James.  James I believe is a better run after the catch type of guy but he does not have the power of the other two backs I mentioned.

But it comes down how he is used in our offence in which he excels.  Honestly I think he can be replaced as well, with any top RB coming out of college today, they are all a dime a dozen, and they all have unreal speed and they all can catch the ball.  Is 15 million to much yes, 8 to 10 million maybe.

This is my opinion and everyone will have a different take on Cook and how he benefits this team as a player.  But he is replaceable.

  4. Tre White Veteran cornerback struggles

White gave up a pair of touchdowns on the day - the first to Moore and then another to veteran receiver Curtis Samuel. White matched up with most of the Bills speedsters and had a few reps that didn’t go his way. The veteran was brought in to compete for the starting job opposite Christian Benford.

It’s just one practice and not worth overreacting to, but there are legitimate concerns about White’s ability to cover fast receivers at this stage of his career. When he did get beat in limited time with the Los Angeles Rams last season, it was usually down the field and while working against a faster player.

I still am having a hard time trying to understand why they brought him back at all.  He played terrible in LA and with the Ravens.....After his injury recovery.

Its only OTA's and he can't keep up with our WR speed....

its still "turf " right ?

So your whole premise is incorrect  LOL 😋

Why oh why do we think the PED twins not playing matter so much ?

Bills clearly feel they are plenty ready to play ball without them or would've changed course in some way or another

And the O guy was just depth imo anyways , waiting for the two rookies to get up to speed. and very disappointing pick up regardless

Because I don't trust Joey Bosa to be answer to our D-Line problems, we still will have Oliver, Epenesa, Groot, all whom did not get any pressure on Lamar.  Last years playoff game Lamar had huge INT's & mistakes and some critically timed dropped footballs by his receivers.  Same thing happened in the regular season game against them when they squashed us and Henry had 199 yards running all over us on the ground against this D line.   Do you really believe just wash, rinse and repeating the cycle this year is going to be the answer for our D-Line pressure problems?  We need new blood and personnel combinations on this D-line this year so hopefully our draft picks and new free agents can make a difference this year.

  6. Be careful for what you wish for.  The Ravens had one of the better drafts this year to add to their D side of the ball as well.  They will be a better team opening day at home then what we played in the playoffs last year.  This game at home will not be a gimmee at all.  I just hope we did enough on D this year...  We are going to need a huge elevation of "D" CB play on this side of the ball this year.  We can only wait and see through mini camp and preseason.  I think the suspensions of DE Hoecht and DT Ogunjobi could cost us in this game, but this game will be a slug fest for sure.

  7. The old adage is you can not substitute speed... speed is not replaceable or compensated for.  Keon = No Speed and has little else to offer.  We all knew it when he was drafted.

Now it comes down to this, does he have anything positive to offer this team at WR that can make him a relevant asset.   I did not see it in his college highlight clips and I don't see it at the NFL level at all.  He is basically a bust right now and has to earn his way back onto this team as a starter.

Lets be honest he has a major uphill battle to make this team this year, even getting into the top 5 WR's on this team for him this year will be an accomplishment.

    2025 WR room.

    Wide Receiver (X) (4)

Keon Coleman, Tyrell Shavers, Kaden Prather, Hal Presley

    Wide Receiver (Z) (5)

Joshua Palmer, Elijah Moore, Laviska Shenault, Jalen Virgil, Stephen Gosnell

    Wide Receiver (Slot) (4)

Khalil Shakir, Curtis Samuel, K.J. Hamler, Kelly Akharaiyi

I still think we need a proven talent to be bought in this year, I just don't know who will become available until after the cuts happen after this

    years training camps are done.

Absolute waste of money at this point.  Our team needs to get better you don't do this by signing a Vet that was released from the team due to major injuries and has been on the decline since he was let go..  Unreal what they are smoking in their pipes at One Bills Drive.   Yeah bad move by Buffalo and for wasting money on an non impactful player.

Your money? And exactly what’s the cap hit? Yeah we don’t know so why the angst?

The guy is washed...  He played like dog 💩even before he got hurt for us and we let him go,  he can't tackle worth a damn and when the wind blows to hard and knocks him off his feet, we get blown coverage play after play when he failed to he show up in games prior to his first injury.  Yet we sign him again when we could have put that money to better use on the D side of the ball.   It is amazing how many player we sign year after year that are over paid and they don't perform up to what salary they get paid.   Oh well like you said not my money........

  10. You know when to get rid off stuff that has gone rotten, and after you throw out that trash, it is taken to the dump.  Leave the trash where it is.  The smell has gotten better at One Bills Drive since this rotten trash is now gone too.

  11. No offense to Milano but he has only played one full season for us as a Bill,  he is now 30 years old.   He has more battle scars than a typical player at his position.  He clearly seems to be on the down side of his career and he is definitely replaceable at this point.  Can't beat father time and lately it hasn't been kind to Milano.  Trade him and get what you can now and go younger, stronger and faster.

  12. I would rather have the Bills on the sidelines this year.  Never had them getting to the SB this year.   Next year should be a much better team than what we had this year.  Our D is not even worthy being on the field in this game today.  Face it, Philly is showing what a true D looks like.  Hey McD get your damn notepad out and start taking notes..  How to build a D 101.    Please don't forget the Credits for 2025 Philadelphia Eagles on your notes.

Yeah I would have taken McConkey over Coleman every day of the week and twice on Sunday!!!  Buffalo botched the WR pick for sure.  Never wanted Coleman he wasn't even a Third round pick in my book and many others.

  14. Josh will never recover from this loss,  a MVP type of season and to play at less than this level in the most important game of his career is something a pro athlete

has a hard time ever overcoming.  This is a true soul crushing loss for him and the doubt will be forever be embedded whenever he sees' #15.

  15. We need to get linebackers that can play.  Did not get that tonight.  Did anyone see Philly and their D Line and LB's play today.  They are dominate.  They destroyed Washington, this team needs players like that.  We don't have them.

We don't have any quality WR's they are a hodgepodge or cast me offs' except for Shakir and maybe Hollin's, Cooper is a question mark.   Coleman should never have been drafted.  Wasted pick.  Our TE performance this year was very underwhelming.

We have a lot of areas to improve upon.

Allen faces a terrible dilemma.  He is so good that he can lead the Bills to 15 wins, the Division and reach the AFC championship game with average coaching and an average front office.  But will he ever get to a Super Bowl?  If the Bills didn't have Allen this would be an 8 game, non playoff making team that more closely resembled a team from the Bills lost years then a genuine Super Bowl team.

You can see that with just a little bit more the Bills are in the Super Bowl this year and probably 2 of the last 4 years.  There is no dominant player on defense and outside of Cook no above average skill player.

Yes the talent pool is very shallow on this team.  Been that way for awhile.  We just don't have the elite playmakers to make a difference in a game like this.  Sad but true.
