Some of the holds the chiefs got away with that game were egregious

In a game where people are flying around 20 miles an hour
It's a game of reaction not thinking... You really don't think in the moment to drop your hips away from his legs... Dropping your hips on his legs is what helps the tackle
You're dropping on him in the speed of the game
Somebody is running away from you and you're running up to him closing distance.. you're not dropping your hips away from him , you are sticking to him like glue
In each rugby example it looked quite intentional

Drops early in the game killed drives. Dumb drops you can only blame receivers on. Bad drops.
In Dorsey’s defense he didn’t have a chance to adjust the game plan when it was 3 and outs so fast.
I still blame Dorsey for not changing the plan and opening up the field quick enough. They were begging us to change to our strength and we didn’t do it. Arrogance.
Then D zone injuries destroyed us. Elam can’t cover man. Ridley wide open 3rd and long over and over- someone smarter than me needs to show why that was happening. But injuries was surely a factor.
Refs also called one of the worst games I’ve seen. For both sides. But refball like that sucks momentum out for any team trying to rally back.

I think we'll see Cook run a little harder this week. There's no way that 3rd where he shied from contact instead of lowering his head and at least trying for the first wasn't show to him.
It’s just who he is. Bust

McD deserves all the credit turning a tire fire into a contender. Not many could instill the culture change in an undesirable location and completely flip the script.
Game management was a problem that lies on him. It has improved. He is average at best here.
Defensive scheme has been a problem that over the last few years McD would step in front of Frasier and fix. Last year he didn’t and the team noticeably suffered. Now Frasier is gone. If he calls the plays on D again I’m sure we will be exceptional again. It’s hard to draw the line between micro managing or not and you can’t blame him for things he let his D coordinator do.
He has let the OC do what they want. He has been very aggressive on 4th downs with Josh.
Hes a great coach. Whether we go all the way has more to do with the OC and players than him. He has a culture of winning and that is a hard thing to create.

Need practice squad bodies who can emulate our competition

Whatever gets Quessenbery off the field

Josh is a jitter bug until he gets hit good, then he plays a good smart game. He needs to do a run early in every game since his pre game routine doesn’t address this.

Bills fans aren’t going crazy reactive. There has been legitimate criticisms for years with these coaches but the Bills have had it all muted because they’re winning and nobody wants the drought ever again.
But when it came time to put it all up all those criticisms came to life and Allen couldn’t hero it anymore.
The coaching staff all needs gone. It’s 7am and they haven’t been fired yet, what gives. Jesse doesn’t play until tomorrow, plenty of time to clean house.

Cook should be benched. He has no will to win. Plays like he’s going through the motions in practice

It’s like one screwup starting with a kickoff out of bounds just spirals this team out of control. I wonder why mentally these things happen over and over.. Like honestly just kick it out of bounds and let a 3rd stringer start on the 25.
Thompson was not good against the Blitz and was far more willing to just throw the ball up. Numerous times on 3rd down we sent just four and he was able to patiently sit back and make something happen.
Kicking out of bounds was what set them off last disaster slide too

I think McDermott championed cancellation from the minute this all went down and nobody felt like they could tell him no.
-
Looks like they’re gonna wait out next weeks results before deciding. Gives them opportunity to make some easy decisions, possibly just cancel them game altogether, depending on the results.

I just find it to be a load of BS if KC somehow benefits from this despite losing to both teams.

I could live with that vs losing home field advantage.
So if the bills win they get the bye, but if they lose they have to now play against a rested team for the long grind

Problem with adding a week19 game is then both the bills and cinci are the only teams not well rested before the playoffs. And they are the top teams.

1. Cancel the game.
2. Give both teams a win. KC loses the tie breaker versus both teams by losing a head to head against both earlier this season. It’d be very unfair to give them the advantage because of what happened here. By giving both teams a win, the last game of the season for all three teams still matter. And let’s be honest, these two teams are going to play again.
3. Give cinci home field in afc championship game if it’s between them and buffalo- 1

MCD broke the playoff draught without Allen. He is more than talk. But even then he had tendencies that you could see would stop him from ever elevating beyond.
These last two years he’s been figured out and Allen has been covering these flaws. Can he find it back?
