If Allen plays Titans will blitz all day long
and our oline has been tragic against the Blitz, and so has Allen. If Dabboll doesn't improve his playcalling we aren't winning this game. So far he hasn't shown anything to me that he knows how to develop a young QB correctly. He is calling the offense like he has Brady or Brees back there. Allen is not that type of QB. If it wasn't for our defense Dabboll would have got flamed for his abysmal play calling vs the Jets

Have you watched Dawkins this year? .... Seriously.. Have you actually watched him play football this year?
yes. he has been a huge liability.
He will be gone next year and replaced by a franchise LT

Ed Oliver and Edmunds were amazing. we finally have our franchise LB, DT and CB on defense. now we need a elite pass rusher.

They need an elite pass rusher to be truly dominant.
yup. but the time is over to invest in the Defense right now. Next offseason we need to use most of our cap improving our offense. Franchise #1 WR, Franchise LT. Franchise RT.

I don't know why everyone is so encouraged by "almost" beating the patriots
how many times have we done this in the past? Rex did it in Foxboro. We already knew our defense is amazing. I wanted to come out of the patriots game feeling good about Allen and some of the mistakes he made really didn't give me hope for his future. How many young QB's do we see throwing careless interceptions on 1st downs in the 1st half of a game.

I was thinking about this whole Mahomes regret thing.
Who's worse in that situation? The Bills or the Bears?
The Bears traded up to take Trubisky. The Bills traded down out of the spot Mahomes was taken in.
To me, the BEARS are the ones who made the grand error.
Are you forgetting the fact we traded UP to select Allen who was even a bigger project QB than Mahomes was.
Trubisky led his team to a playoff birth last season. Can Allen do the same with a very similar rated defense this year?

We still have no idea how good some of these teams are, including us. Record doesn't mean anything right now.
The Jets, Giants and Bengals are 3 of the worst teams in the league. Lets see how we play vs playoff contending teams. Browns just smacked the Ravens and the Jags have looked impressive.

An opposing D facing a backup QB is going to take the run away. Barkley will have to win it, save a defensive score or two.
our defense isn't really a explosive scoring defense. They hold offenses and suffocate them but do it in a very organized fashion.

Looks like Allen won't play this weekend
we need to run the ball down their throats. Matt Barkley isn't winning us this game.
-
not gonna lie seeing the Bengals play this bad makes me wonder how good the Bills truly are
Titans game is such a massive test. if we lose that this might be another 8 win season

Most of these QB's played 20-25 years ago lol. I'm not sure what point you are trying to prove comparing them. The league and the QB position has changed dramatically.
You should be comparing them to other recent young QB's. Right now Allen is being outplayed by Gardner Minshew.

I'm going to go ahead and say yes...I would trade for Foles if he was healthy and we were going to the playoffs. For sure. People can talk ***** all they want but that would be a great move for us.
IDK what you want Dabboll to do it isn't his fault Josh makes bad throws and fumbles. The plans seem balanced, we take risks, guys do get open, we run enough and it works enough ... it's all there man Dabboll is doing a decent job.
is he? the play calling has been very questionable this season. he seems to take 1 step forward and 3 steps back. yesterday both times we got to the goal line playcalling was poor. resulted in 2 4th and goal scenarios. Also every single interception was on FIRST down. why is Dabboll throwing so much on 1st down when NE have the best secondary in the league.

And even if we do have to start asking questions. The Answer to those questions should never be FOLESyea big no to Foles. I'd rather get rid of Dabboll and bring in a QB guru to properly teach Allen. B/c as of now I have zero faith in this coaching staff to properly develop a QB.

Nope. Foles is Trash.
pull the plug on a QB that is 3-1 with 5 comebacks on his resume. Wow I am starting to see more and more clowns as Bills fans. Maybe too many brain injuries from the tables.
I don't think OP is saying right now. but If Allen doesn't improve by the end of the season and we aren't in the playoffs with a super bowl winning caliber defense we need to start asking questions.
-
My big fear is Allen never improving the braindead mistakes and never learning how to read a defense and we are stuck with him like Tampa with Winston hoping every year we can improve
An even bigger fear is Mcdermott and this staff failing to reach the playoffs in the next 2 years with a SB caliber defense. If that happens we need to hit the restart button and start thinking about bring in an offensive genius HC

the same reason Lee Smith is running 30yard go routes towards the end zone on 3rd downs.
this staff has no idea how to run a lethal NFL offense.

I listened to that earlier tonite on youtube. And yeah, he sounds quite pissed. Hopefully, it motivates the whole team next weekend
He looks very angry at Allen after each one of his turnovers. Daboll looked like he had enough of Allen at one point.

We need to use up high draft picks and top money to fix our oline once again next offseason.
Desperately need a franchise LT. It's a bit depressing how after so much investment Beane put in over the summer our oline still looks like a mess. Allen takes massive hits almost every single drive.
-
Josh Allen has yet to have a 300+yrd 3TD 0INT game where HE took the game in his hands and won it for us and until he does that a few times he really can't be considered a franchise QB. I'm sorry. that's my opinion.
He has been held up by our amazing defense in almost every single game this season. I'm almost losing trust in him every time he drops back to pass and heaves it downfield. But its a long season and he has lots of room to fix his mistakes and learn.

(with BYE weeks in the books you can't just go be total yards)
Titans D
- Net yards - 17th* - Bills 3rd
- AVG YPG - 14th - Bills 2nd
AVG Passing Defense Stats - All NFL
Tenny - 14th - Bills 4th
AVG Rushing Defense Stats - All NFL
Tenny - 15th - Bills 7th
Buffalo's TOP 10 Defense should handle the Titans.
Barkley just needs to be a care taker
no he doesn't lol. Barkley needs to put up points. being a "care taker" doesn't win you games in todays NFL.
Titans could put up 10 points and it might be enough to beat us because thats how terrible our offense is.
-
LMAO
and the patriots player didn't even get an ejection WARNING. this league is ***** ***** joke. its really Buffalo vs the world.

teams take a closer look at you in your 2nd year than they do for your 1st year
they write the book
some call it a "sophomore slump" but it's really the opposition putting severe review on the player now they know he is sticking around
Jim Kelly took a 3rd year to begin showing his true worth, even with his semi-pro experience and a lot of great players already in place
exactly. if Allen doesn't turn into a top 10 QB by the end of next season we might have to move on. this defense is far too good not to be in the playoffs.

not at all, he's a young man with a ton of potential
has to learn QUICKLY that a few of his Go-to moves ain't going to cut it in the NFL
he gets until 2021 to become a star
lol this coaching staff has 2 years to show success or they will be out the door. the new staff might want to draft their own QB. If Allen doesn't improve massively this season its going to be "show us you are a franchise QB" or bust next year.
-
maybe not yet but his start to the season hasn't given me as much hope as I thought it would
yea he has won us games, but he is also making some braindead plays out there that he really isn't learning from. Idk if that is his fault or the coaching staff for not developing him properly. He needs the hero ball out completely. throwing interceptions like that on 1st downs is alarming for any QB.

say it with me foks
Josh Allen is NOT a franchise QB yet. The kid is holding this team back. We are a 11-13 win team with a competent QB back there.
