Easiest question of the week. No. I have a life full of friends, fun, and responsibilities. I have time to watch football but no interest in asking some stranger to sign something. I have even less interest in Tom Brady.

Would have taken you less time than it took to write this post and would probably be more memorable. :)

Not trying to be difficult just responding to the post. These combine links keep getting posted as evidence that he's not slow. I think we need to compare in game speeds and not drills. But all you have to do is watch his film to see that he has defenders on him every play. Maybe the ACC has amazing db's and he will have better luck in the NFL but I highly doubt that

All you need to know about MHJ is his jacket size for Canton

If you want to prove his game speed is slow, at least put some effort in and find some game film that points to that, instead of assuming no one else ran top speed in the drills. I’m pretty sure the Bills staff has seen more of him than the combine.

I love it.  I never used Twitter, I now use X and I pay the subscription for it.

Why a sane person willingly would spend time on a platform like Twitter or X is beyond me. Talk about about wasting your life.

6 foot 4, large hands, already checking a few boxes. Nothing but shotgun, slants and curls. Against the worst defense and with guys like Kincaid and Kelce I definitely believe I would complete some passes. Scoring might be another story. Plus I’m sure I’d snap a leg before it was over with. If Peterman can do it anyone can.

That’s the problem though. Compared to even someone like Peterman we are all pathetic excuses for humans when it comes to playing QB.

  5. I’m an optimist so I say one. But if I’m sacked a few times before that happens I might be in trouble…

I also think I would score if I played a season in the NHL, simply by being of NHL size standing in front of the goalie in power plays redirection shots (only vaguely on purpose).

Where you’d never be even close to scoring is in a top level soccer match. Unless you’d take penalties of course.

Who is Dalmar?  Seriously, to pen that well written piece of fantasy and come up with Dalmar?  Kind of ruined what you were attempting here 😂

I think it lifts it even further if the high and mighty Diggs doesn’t even know the name of his “Brother” that he just has to visit at the hospital.

He said "you should have been training instead of playing golf." Josh doesn't like being held accountable. Diggs was the only player on this team that wanted to win and held other players accountable. Now we have no leadership

He might have held other players accountable but I’m not sure he held himself accountable, and if he did he was delusional. He was supposed to be one of the team’s absolute top players and he performed like a disposable average journeyman. When the time came to step up, he stepped down. Or no, the took the elevator down.

It doesn't look a lot better. This WR group is a lot worse now.  I hope Diggs not only excels in Houston but they go to the Super Bowl.  It's only cause of fans like you and others that always turn on a guy as soon as he leaves town.

What are you doing on this board if you’re a Houston fan? And before you say you’re not, you just wrote that you hope they go to the Super Bowl (and not the Bills).

If I recall all this correctly; his contract before they gave him an extension in 2022 would have expired after last season. No dead cap, just a mutual parting of ways. I remember thinking that the extension didn't seem necessary, he was already under contract for that season and the next. The new contract saved them $6 million in cap space that year.

Now they trade him for a future pick and take the biggest one year dead cap hit for a WR in the history of the league. $31 million of your cap gone for no player at all. In all likelihood throw away your chances for an entire year for absolutely nothing. He was already under contract through last season.

      That's some real brilliant chess

In 2022 he wanted to be here and the Bills thought he was good so they extended him. Now he doesn’t and they don’t. He’s not old enough to warrant this drop off in production. Is it easy to always be right in hindsight? Yes.

Our playoff wins haven't depended upon Diggs.   They've depended upon playing QBs like Skylar Thompson, Mason Rudolph, Mac Jones, a 39-year old Rivers in his last game ever, and in the case of the Ravens, a defense that had to defend a team who's top WR was Marquise Brown and whose leading rusher was their QB, otherwise JK Dobbins.  Otherwise we can't win any playoff games.

Yeah, we really suck and you should find another team! 🤪

Man, I picked the wrong career path. I’m already incompetent but likeable, but in 11 years at my current job I’ve probably made less than this incompetent but likeable dork has in one.

i could have sucked at football and made bank… I DO suck at football, what am I saying? PUT ME IN COACH

He’s not incompetent though. He just isn’t among the absolute best in the world in his profession. I can almost guarantee that no one on this board comes even close to being as good at his job as Peterman is, yet he gets ridiculed every time he shows up in a thread. Not that I think he cares, he has pretty much the best job in the world. :)

  12. I hope he signs with a good team in a city with nice weather and if the Bills don’t win the Super Bowl then that team might as well do it. As long as it’s not Miami.

Bringing this thread back to life after some time has passed from the Knox signing. I took a lot of heat for saying it on this board at the time, but it was a terrible contract then and looks even worse now.  It needs to be talked about how bad of a miss this was by Beane.  He is going to count $14 mil against the cap this year, $20m if we release him... How the heck did Beane let this happen!   His touchdown numbers were inflated that season before we re-signed him, there was no good reason to extend him at that time.  He's never flashed elite talent.  I'm still sick over it.

How about trying as hard to find things Beane has done well as you do trying to find things that hasn’t gone well? No one bats a thousand.

I always thought soccer was weird in not having sudden death when teams go into overtime (sometimes they do - a golden goal, sometimes they don’t).  A team gives up a goal and then has a chance to tie or win and it goes to more overtime or penalty kicks (which is an awful way to end a match).  Maybe that would be the “fairest” way to go in NFL playoffs - 15 minute overtime.  If the game is tied at that point, then moves to sudden death.

They tried the golden goal thing for a while but it was awful. Teams didn’t dare to attack and the overtime was usually just a very boring wait for a penalty shootout. The way it is with 2x15 minutes no matter if anyone scores is much better.

Maybe the NFL needs some kind of penalty shootout thing? I agree that overtime in the NFL becomes unfair pretty much no matter how you do it.
