Yes in 2019 on windy days vs Philly and Baltimore in Orchard Park, Allen was lousy and the opposing QB's had better games.  Last year in not ideal weather games vs. New England and KC, he was not all that good.   So there's my concern.

Thank you for that scientific, statistically based analysis.

Forecast shows winds will be from WSW at 15-25mph.   Does Josh ever have a good passing day in the wind?  He better outplay Heinicke.  I don't think the Bills are going to be able to run too well.  That's something the Washington D-line defends well.

Is that really a concern?  The guy probably has the strongest arm in the League.  Is there really some evidence behind that question/concern?

Although I agree, at the same time, depending on how much a good seat license cost, you could be spending, ill venture to guess, up to 8k for 4 seats.

If you do the math, it's unlikely very many seats would have PSL's in the $1,000-2,000 range.  They need a lot more money up front to finance the amount they are likely going to be asked to contribute.  If 60,000 seats averaged $2,000 per PSL, that's only $120 million.

Does anyone recall how bad Millen was last week?  Dude was on another planet.  If anybody hates Cuse grad Beth Mowins I will fight you in the parking lot. We will not tolerate this slander.

I'm a Cuse grad and I live here, but sorry I will tolerate this slander and will not join you in the parking lot.  I find it hard to listen to her announce any game and I'm probably the least sexist person I know.  ( I know, that sounds like Trump saying "I'm the least racist person you'll ever meet")

  5. No doubt it sucked losing to the Phins for so long and there were certain players (e.g., Cox) who it was easy to hate.  But they don't compare to the Patriots and their horrible fan base and their obnoxious owner.   All the cheating, the dirty plays, the bad calls in their favor, and a whole list of players to dislike...Brady, Gronk, Edelman, Aaron Hernandez, Wilfork, etc etc make them the most despicable team ever.

Glad to see the mods aren’t blasting this post like they did to me when I posted the same question in advance of the home opener. There are others out there that like me that want to know this info before game time.

    Thanks for posting OP.

I'm just curious, rank the info you care about before game time, in order of importance:

    1.  weather conditions

    2.  officiating crew

    3.  TV announcers

    4.  uniform colors

    5.  actives/inactives

    6.  injury report

    7.  point spread

    8.  face mask color

    9.  time gates open

    10. vax policy at stadium

    11. whether Josh has visible cupping marks

  7. If you enlarge the photo and look at the contorted throwing motion it shows, there is no wonder he needs cupping therapy.  But OP, this is an interesting find and some good sleuthing on your part.  The photo definitely shows the mark of cupping therapy (yes, it's a real thing.  Google it) but hard to say if it's an indication that he has something affecting his throws.  Cupping therapy can be done for reasons other than pain management.

  8. Given the fact that he is a rookie, I think he is showing some competence and poise.  Having said that, I'm not worried about his singular ability to beat the Bills.  I am more concerned with them as a team being able to run the ball well against us and playing good defense against us, particularly if they get Gillmore back.  I think we have much more talent overall than they do (assuming everyone stays healthy) and I think we can beat them!

  9. You would think that Ken Dorsey sees what Joe B. (and most knowledgeable fans) see and would immediately fix that with Josh.  Or does Josh reach out to Jordan Palmer in season and say "hey Jordan, what do you think I'm doing that needs some adjustment?"  Would love to be a fly on the wall to see what's going on behind the scenes.

Yes, the guy was terrible in preseason.  But he's on the PS, and a veteran guy with starting experience who knows our scheme if we get to a point of desperation where all of our starting and backup tackles are injured - an unlikely scneario.  He's the backup to the backups.  Sure, you'd rather have Anderson, a rookie with potential to improve, over a veteran whose best days are long past (and probably never were that good to begin with) but it is not likely Hart will see the field this year.

    A.  If he does get to see the field this year, it will be because a DL planted his face in it.  B.  If he plays a snap for the Bills this season, it means that our season has gone terribly wrong.

  11. Personally, I think it's an impossible question to answer.  I think after Josh, Diggs and Tre (yes I would put him in the top 3) we have quite a few players who are equally good and important to the team, for different reasons.  I might even have a hard time saying who I think the top 10 are.  Better scenario than years ago we could only identify Brian Moorman as our top player!

In addition to what you said, we talked a lot this off-season about adding more speed to the offense.

I think that need is still there.

Our WRs don’t seem to be creating the same separation they were last year. Nothing comes easy right now.

So that combination of wobbly, off target passes and less separation has made this passing offense look clunky.

Our only immediate hope is that Gabe Davis gets healthy and starts eating into Beasley’s reps at least.

Because we’re not seeing any explosive potential out of this offense.

Sanders is our “speed” guy ala Brown, but it looks right now as if the Bills have to string together 9 play drives to score.

That great football mind, Matt Millen, would ask:  "Which kind of speed were we talking about, across the field or down the field?"  But in all seriousness, I think we do have enough speed on offense.  And I think we have guys who can create separation (Beasley, Davis) without being a speed burner.  Sanders has definitely shown he still has speed at 34.  Diggs, being our best route runner, can certainly get separation but he's getting a lot of attention.  We have Brieda, whose speed needs to be used with the right kind of play call, and I think we'll see that in future games.  Singletary showed some speed on his touchdown.  And as mentioned above, Stevenson will bring some speed to the game when we get him back.   I am not worried about having weapons.  I'm more worried about Josh settling down and getting better protection.  All we need him to do is make 4-5 better throws a game and we'll be fine.
