While i understand why chiefs did what they did, i am glad bills did not make this deal. He is apparently getting 65 million guaranteed which is more than a lot of guys get who i think are better and i will be interested to see his motivation now.
Bills and Chiefs are in different parts of the road in the journey to the Superbowl
Buffalo is still building, and holds a higher value pick than #29

I can't imagine that either team would allow their QB to do this. It's a terrible idea due to injury risk. Although there is some sort of mutual respect brewing between JA and Mahomes that is fun to watch.
Injury? Mahomes literally throws deep passes in the offseason for fun
I bet Josh Allen does the same

Heaviest man to run 99 yards is pretty impressive though

The second round pick is too valuable to use on a backup

Wasn’t even close to Mahomes’ best play last year. GMFB got caught up in the “no look” hype

You can’t go wrong with any of the great backs
My vote is for Walter Payton

Mahomes was too much of a super star until the AFCCG
maybe that will have mellowed the MahomesFanatics down
What? The AFCCG game only made him more popular

They won’t
when Brady retires, so will Belichick

Personally think Pat is a whiner. He cant hold himself together when he struggles. I am not impressed. We shall see.
Funny, I’ve never seen him whine. He rarely struggles, and his last drive of the season was a clutch game-tying drive.
He’s pretty impressive

Ryan wold actually make some amount of sense there. Not sure about the personalities though. You gotta figure that Andy's overly large butt is getting a bit warmer after coming short with that stacked team (and it wasn't just the defense that failed). His playoff reputation is garbage, and he needs to do something - hiring Rex in a season where you need to show you can make the next step is definitely a ballsy move.
Chiefs just made their first AFC title game since 1993 Bills-Chiefs, and he helped turn Mahomes into the MVP. This year probably bought Andy some time
I don’t think Rex wants to be an assistant coach. Too arrrogant

This is great analysis of why the Bills might not have wanted him. Plus, the NFL doesn't like small QBs. Mahomes and Mayfield may finally change that bias.
But it doesn't respond to the original point, which is that if they had it to do over they would have kept the pick and taken Mahomes. Who wouldn't?
Still, given all that's happened I like where the Bill's are. If they'd taken Mahomes, maybe they would have gotten Edmund's anyway, but not White. So Bills possibly will end up better off doing what they did, but today, its hard to argue that getting Mahomes would have been the wrong move. Two years from now I think we will be happy it fell the way it did, but that's a guess. Mahones isnt a guess anymore.
Mahomes is 6’3 230. That’s not small

Yes but with no Superbowl appearances

A 6’5 250lbs quarterback who runs better than Vick is absurd

It’s better to not compare to Mahomes. That kid has 20 more touchdowns than Brady. He’s in debates with Brees, Luck, and Rodgers
No reason to compare Allen to any other QB except Tyrod, Peterman, and Anderson. When the dust settles we can compare him to other rookies, but even early success doesn’t guarantee future performance. Have to hope Allen will get better, and an offensive revamp in 2019 would help him immensely

All Bills can do is win
-
That Mahomes guy is on pace to score more total touchdowns (57) than anyone in NFL history
Not fair to compare

Mahomes also was playing the worst secondary in the NFL, you left that part out.
Mahomes put up 6 touchdowns and 478 on that Rams defense (both season highs for the Rams defense)
His problem was Aaron Donald. A true game changer and Defensive MVP. 2 forced fumbles. Enukam didn’t help either, as he was responsible for 2 interceptions.
Donald and Ebukam we’re the difference for LA

Mahomes is having a sensational season, but highly unlikely he breaks Manning’s record.
Like I said, Brees has earned it this far, that’s not a knock on Mahomes, it’s that Brees is playing perfect football.
Lmao. Said QB had a heroic game and also turned the ball over personally FIVE times including 2 defensive TDs and an INT with chance to tie and steal game still.
If you cant calculate how five turnovers and 2 defensive TDs contributed to a 3 point loss then you need to take a break from fantasy football for a while because you’ve lost touch between FF and NFL.
Mahomes would swap out his game for Goff’s in a heartbeat where he had 4TDs and NO turnovers and a WIN over his 6TDs and 5 turnovers and a 3 point loss.
Goff had 2 turnovers himself. One was returned for a touchdown.
Mahomes accounted for 6 TD and 5TO
Goff accounted for 5 TD and 2TO
Seattle trades Frank Clark to Chiefs for 2019 1st and 2020 2nd

Can Dee Ford even play a 6 Tech? Hes 245. He’s not not a 4-3 DE. That’s why he “cheats” when he goes to a 3point stance. He can’t rush the passer from the 4-3 without cheating
