Mayfield is far and away the best of the bunch.  Right now, Lamar Jackson comes in second, but I think it has a lot to do with the team he is on.   Allen and Darnold are incredibly close at this point, and you can see why those were the two guys it seemed to come down to for Buffalo.

I dont believe Rosen will ever become a top quarterback in the league.  I didn't when he was coming out, and I dont now.  Nothing about him looks to be anything more than average.

When you look at first round quarterbacks analytics will tell you they hit at about a 30% success rate.  When you apply that to this draft class, and assume Baker is one success, its likely that only one other guy is a success long term.

I think Jackson will come to Earth, and think it comes down to Darnold or Allen.   Otherwise, lets hope this is the 2004 draft class redux.

If this is true I think we're screwed.

Darnold is going to be a very good NFL quarterback.

Has this podcast gotten any better as the season progressed?

I listened to the first few episodes but found them boring.

I generally like Joe B. and Fairburn, but they really didn't sound too "into" doing those podcasts, which in turn made for some very boring listening.

    No it's still very boring.

Just wait for a night where you're having a hard time falling asleep and listen to this podcast.

Much better than a sleep aid ?

What does playing Barkely add to the team?   I preferred Allen sit his rookie season but now that he's in let him play.  Hes done enough to hold his spot as starting Qb.  I'm hoping he starts to throw more and run less.  This season is about getting our young guys reps.

What does he add to the team?

    In the one game he's played this year - 232 yards passing, 2 TD's and 0 Int's, and  a 117.4 QB rating.

Every other moment of his career doesn't give you and I quote serious overall doubts about Barkley?

Has any team given him a real chance?

The Eagles drafted him in the 4th round so they were never invested in him and don't think he was given a chance.

I believe he started 6 games in Chicago for a terrible Bears team and he did have multiple 300 yard passing games.

Did you watch the game.  He put up a few passes that couldve easily been picked but they weren't.  I like Barkely but at this point we need to let Allen finish the season.

Why do we need to let Allen finish the season?

Are you just saying that because the organization has so much invested in him?

Allen is no doubt a dynamite RUNNER, but I have serious doubts about him as complete overall quarterback. What if Barkley is the superior player? Should he just continue to sit on the bench after he tore it up against the Jets?

  6. Just when I was getting excited about Allen I think he took a major step backwards today.

There's no doubt he's a dynamic runner, but when it comes to being a complete quarterback he just hasn't been very impressive.

He leaves the pocket way too early, has big time accuracy issues, and makes incredibly stupid decisions with the football.

  7. For you guys supporting Allen can you explain to me how a 50% completion rate, two INT's and a 44.4 QB rating is a positive?

Barkley tore it up against the Jets and we beat them by like 40 points. Also, keep in mind that was after we signed him off the street.

Imagine what he would with more time to practice and know the playbook.
