Yeah you don't know football very well. Hopkins is better but Diggs is complete. Great route runner.
Great. He is going to want a new deal. Anyone who thinks he is playing on that 4 year 45 mil deal is crazy. They are going to have to renegotiate that. Such an overpay for a number 2. Still no number 1 for Allen to throw to. 6 foot tall receiver, he is Brandin Cooks. Oh well trade the entire draft for Diggs, this will work out well. ?

What an awful overpay. Diggs isn’t a number 1 he’s basically Cooks he’s a good number 2. What an absolute joke of an overpay. No way would I trade a number 1 for him. Geez!!!

Used to listen to Rome regularly here in Ca. I don’t anymore. But to suggest he isn’t still relevant is silly. The guy has 1.3 million twitter followers. That’s relevant and really relevant.

Josh improves this year but he needs to continue to get better. If he improves by the same margin this year as he does next we will have a really good thing going. He needs to complete more passes.

To be fair the same was said here about Dick Jauron going into year 3 in Buffalo.........and he even got off to a good start and got an extension that year.
Bad decisions happen even when there should have been enough data to know better.
But at least Jauron had had one good season as a HC(in Chicago) to go with the 6 losing ones.
Daboll hasn't produced a good offense at any of his 4 NFL OC jobs.
All bad.
I think he's clearly a really good X's and O's guy but his play calling and the lack of rhythm and tempo in his offense is a problem.
Ultimately the interest in him could just be the familiarity and experience with the Patriots offensive system and in the case of Cleveland the fact that DePodesta was a big McDermott fan.
You literally have no inside knowledge or are a qualified coach. I trust McDermott who’s brought the bills to the playoffs 2 out of 3 years. But ya let’s trust some message board warrior on what the offensive coordinator is doing wrong. You don’t know how much Josh has grown under him
or his understanding etc. but go on be angry. He keeps
getting jobs. He must be awful at it right?
12 hours ago, Happy Gilmore said:And his play calling was great this year, right? The offense scored more than enough points, right? Some people settle for garbage, while others want more.
Yeah, that's a good thought. I recall seeing posts mentioning the position coach/coordinator would ask his current team to block the requests so it doesn't reflect poorly on him for future positions.
You know so much maybe start being a coordinator and get a job. You don’t know anything behind the scenes. But hey the Bills are your favorite team
and you deserve better. Throw out that they went 10-6 and were an overtime away from winning their first playoff game in forever. If Josh didn’t have a complete brain fart the second half we would have won. But blame coordinators. You probably hated Greg Roman too right? Ya it’s everyone’s fault but the players.

Why couldn't Daboll have been allowed to interview for the position? Good way to get rid of his bearded bowling ball head without having to fire him.
Seems the Bills like him more than some message board poster who has no idea what’s actually happening behind the scenes. Stick to being a keyboard coordinator and let the professionals do their jobs.

Probably wants to go where the quarterback can actually throw it to him.

It’s called trying to pass the football. He wasn’t going to run for the first down there and it was 4th down. What good does going to the ground do?
He was trying to throw the ball by running 19 yards behind the line of scrimmage? Interesting take. Should be a good play call next year. Hey Allen run 19 yards behind the line of scrimmage then throw it 15 yards for a oh wait what are we doing now?

Hey look, one of them lost the game.
Wow you mean one team losses and one team wins when they play against each other? Shocked

This is idiotic. Seriously. You're begrudging the Qb extending the play on 4th down on the last drive when the entire offensive line failed to block? You are an american treasure.
Extending the play by running backwards. Definitely smart.
-
Hey look two good quarterbacks both with over 60% completion percentages on the day. Interesting.

On 4th down, the last drive of the game, and your suggestion is to take the sack? You should see if they'll put you in the booth with Booger.
Take the sack 5 yards is better than take the sack 19 yards behind the line up scrimmage. Really smart job.

Pass protection is a real thing.
Pass protection haha. Easily could have just taken the sack instead of run backwards but sure...
1 minute ago, whatdrought said:Welp. This is one of the stupider takes ever. Good job.
I agree. I think smart quarterbacks should run 30 yards backwards.
-
Hey look a quarterback driving to win the game and he didn't take a 19 yard loss by running backwards. Smart.

Oh look calling someone nuts. It’s an epidemic around here. Watson>>>>>>>>>>>..........

Thanks for being the judge of what we need to know. Also you’re nuts.Yea he was really good yesterday. Fan isn’t short for fanatic at all ?

They only thing anyone needs to know is this. If Josh Allen were Watson yesterday and Watson were Allen yesterday the Bills would have won that game by 20 points easily. And the Bills would be going to the next round. That being said Josh isn’t as good as Watson and he needs a lot of work to do. Needs to be smarter and needs to not throw at a negative 55% completion rating. It’s just
plain awful anyway you slice it. Him
running backwards was idiotic. Him trying to lateral was dumb. He can get better and he must get better or this will be the same
result.

Agreed.Tell that to Tannehill, who went 8/15 for 72 yards in a win last night.
Even Tannehill had 53% completion.
-
52% completion in a playoff game isn’t gonna cut it. Not even close. Josh made so many mistakes running and throwing the ball. He single handedly is the reason they lost the game.
-
Josh Allen w 52% passing and being absolutely atrocious with running backwards and getting sacked on a 4th down play was just awful. Josh Allen needs to be 1000% better next year that was unacceptable play from a “franchise” “qb”. It’s laughable anyone thinks he’s anywhere close to being at Watson’s level.
-
Josh Allen 52% passing f you dude! You ruin the playoffs for everyone.
-
Quarterback play. Allen needs to put up a really nice game and the defense needs to shut down Watson and their passing attack.

Do you care how many passing yards a QB has if he wins.Look at Watson's surrounding skill players and tell me the running back on the Bills with 1m yards. DeAndre and Fuller are one of the best tandems in the league .Brown and Beasley have been good but big edge to Texans.
Wins aren't just predicated on the quarterback. It takes an entire team to win look at Nick Foles? Would you really take him over Watson just because he won a Super Bowl. Watson is a top 5/10 quarterback in the league and Allen is just not there yet. Hopkins is a better receiver than anyone the Bills have but I would put Brown and Fuller in the same category. I would take Singletary over Hyde. I'd take our offensive line over their offensive line and I'd take our tight end over their tight end. One person doesn't win someone a game. Our defense is better than their defense. If you switched Watson and Allen but everyone else stayed the same the line would go from 2.5 Texans to 7 or more Bills. Watson is good, is much better than Allen is now and if you look at the numbers it's really not that close. If Allen was putting up the numbers Watson was and Watson was putting up the numbers Allen is it would be unquestionable who you would say is the better quarterback. Take off the fandom blinders and just look at it in terms of numbers. Watson has 45 touchdown passes his first two seasons while playing in 23 games. Josh Allen has thrown 30 touchdown passes in 28 games. Again if you look at the numbers its not close at all. But disagree with stats all you want.
Bills trade for Diggs - jw no discussions on a restructure

Deepest wr draft and you trade a ton of picks for a number 2. Sound move. This screams ownership wanting a “big” name. You build through the draft.
