Having seen the Seahawks' terrible defense and Packers' average one, I would put the Pack at #1, Chiefs at #2 and Seattle at #3. After the Bills win today, Bills should be #3
Really? Even after the Chiefs lost to the Raiders, and almost lost to the Pats and Chargers?

really? Wow. I’m really out of touch with the betting lines, that’s shocking to me. Tenn is undefeated and was a half away from the SB last year. Plus they are at home (whatever that’s worth these days).
Every year is different!
Bills have looked dominant; and the Titans are barely puttering along. Plus, no practice, missing guys, turbulence. It all adds up.

the line opened at -8?? Wow. Titans as 3.5 point favorites sounds about right.Other way. Titans are 3.5 dogs.

Nothing is technically impossible but the Bills forfeiting a game comes pretty close. If you saw ford’s comments in total, he didn’t sound like that was something he would want to do. His comment there was in reaction to if the league made the titans forfeit because they didn’t perceive the game to be able to played in a healthy manner, and would he be mad about not getting a game check. As far as Tre, I think it is much more likely he would have a phantom injury and not play than he would be able to convince the entire team to forfeit the game. It’s not his decision on what the team does.
I feel like my original comment is getting a bit misconstrued. I dont think the Bills will forfeit.
What I am saying is that the suggestion it could happen is not so impossible it deserves a laughing emoji. I guarantee that there are definitely some guys in that locker room that have some reservations about playing the game. It probably doesnt rise to the level of not wanting to play the game, but you never know how far that feeling can spiral. That said, it is of course highly improbable the Bills would forfeit.

Why in the ***** would WE forfeit?!?!?! If anybody is giving up a win it is going to be the Titans
Because at the end of the day, Im guessing the Bills’ players care way more about their health than a single W or L.
That said, if the world (NFL) were fair, the Titans should be the team forced to forfeit. But, the NFL is greedy.

If you listen to the players this week, you would know this isn’t going to happen
Cody Ford said it was better to be healthy than rich. Tre almost opted out of the season.
Again, I wouldnt bet on it, but its definitely not impossible.

That would throw the entire season into utter chaos. Can’t see it happening. Way too many issues to unpack.Thats a reason the league would never allow a forfeit, not a reason the players wouldn't vote to refuse to play a game. But, from the league’s perspective, you are absolutely right.

Easy to say when you arent the guy lining up across from the Titans.
Edit: Im not saying you are wrong. It’s theoretically safe. Its just really unnerving.

It's not going to shock me if we forfeit this game. The team might take a vote, and if more players want to sit out and not get paid than want to play and risk it...
A couple people laughed in response to this, but Im with you, I wouldn’t be the least bit shocked if that happened. I dont think it will, but I wouldnt be shocked. I would be super uncomfortable being in close proximity to a group of people with a COVID outbreak.

Im pretty sure teams passed on him because they were convinced he had a steroid problem. It wasnt about talent.

It made sense to go with Oliver when they did.
It made no sense to pass on Metcalf for Cody Ford.
Might have seen a big jump in Josh's passing LAST year had they taken DK.
Also Ford being used as a guard last summer helped push Wyatt Teller off the roster.........so there is that.
I understand people who say that is all hindsight but when you reach for needs early in the draft...........especially at positions of modest $ value like guard or even right tackle........sh*t happens.
At least he is better than Cyrus Koundjio I guess.
This board just isnt the same without you spitting this sort of nonsensical fire. Im glad youre back!- 3

How is the line still Bills -1 with everything that has gone on with the Titans?
Where did you see that?

Bills didn’t practice today due to postponed game but this is interesting as it shows Tre White would have been out if played Sunday, would not have practiced all week. same with Andre Roberts. Winters probably would be out too. I wonder if anything will change with the new date.
Is it? It looks like they just copy and pasted from the day before, with the exception of the “rest” guys.

Actually I'm giddy about the first 4 weeks. I'm very happy with McD & the coaching staff.
Just saying I was so frustrated prior and wonder if it could have happened sooner.
Waiting for the first person to say "THE PROCESS".....😜
Yes. McD chose not to have a great offense. That checks out.

The problem for the Bills players (and Titans) is that the NFLPA agreement states they don't get paid if they don't play the game.
This makes sense. If there is no game then no one is getting paid.

Meh, the OP here isn't wrong and neither of you. The NFL thought they could skate by and give the teams the ability to manage it themselves. But as we have seen with Gruden and reports of the Titans bringing in an UDFA without waiting the 5 days, that is not happening.
If we were going to operate without a bubble, and the league wanted to be "flexible" and "adaptive" they would have scheduled league wide bye weeks every month so that they could reschedule games in the (inevitable) event this current situation happened. Without a few league wide "dead periods" to either make up games or get things straightened out for certain teams, the league actually left themselves no room for flexibility.
The league bet that this would be over or nearly over as the season started and progressed. That they would gradually get fans back into stadiums, and the playoffs/superbowl would go off as normal and generate a whole bunch of revenue for them.
...and now here we are.
Its not that he let the teams manage it themselves, its that he let teams enforce it themselves. He laid out the rules, some teams have just not been enforcing them. Which is sort of surprising to me; I wouldn't expect that from a professional organization.

The odds are non existent if they dont even go near each other at the end of the game.
Did you just go through each of my last 10 posts to do the "meh" face? That is really, really weird.

So TV money is more important than getting the games played! That’s idiotic!
In fairness, they are playing the games solely for TV money...If they weren't, there wouldn't be a season.

I think recent events and outbreaks have taught us that it probably isn’t. The NFL cannot let these guys socialize like this after games. It’s just a bad plan.
This is what happens when we stop asking why questions. For example, WHY did the Titans have an outbreak. I can about guarantee you that it didn't occur due to a 30 second exchange while outdoors.
1 minute ago, TBBills said:The odds non existent if they dont even go near each other at the end of the game.
Ok, so you go from a .0001% chance to a .00001% chance. Got it. This all makes sense.

Not surprised by Goodells lack of decision or leadership on this. He was been a ***** commission for quite some time.
there had to be bubbles, extra bye weeks incorporated, or something..ANYTHING to prevent the worse from happening.
yet he’s winging it. He sucks
He's not. He implemented protocols that have been relatively successful, all the things considered. He then left himself flexibility to adapt to challenges as they arise. He has actually done a phenomenal job so far.

Yes and it wouldnt have mattered to Mahomes except after the game... you understand yet?
The odds of contracting COVID from that exposure is just so astronomical.

I may be misremembering but didn't the titans start testing positive on Monday or Tuesday?
And no, I don't know why we started punishing and lashing out at people for catching an endemic virus, but this incredibly new phenomenon is unfathomably stupid

Sure, but at the end of the day, all you have to rely on is the teams' records and their quality of performances. Their record says they are worse, and the quality of their play against the Chargers and Pats dictates that they are not the powerhouses they are propped up to be.
