Imagine that Fitz keeps this up for all season...

Bucs beat Jags in the least watched SB of all time...

I wouldn’t hate it...might even laugh at Ramsay and Marrone after..

All this would tell me is the Bills should have stuck with Fitz all these years and built the team to accommodate. Has he been worse than what we’ve had sure at times. Has he been better? A lot of times yes.

  2. Fitz probably deserves to go to the HOF. Considering he’s a Journeyman backup he’s arguably the best backup to have every played the game. As soon as he gets in instead of the starter it’s over. What other backup always ends up the starter? If this season continues in this direction it’s likely Jameis doesn’t play again this year and Fitz ends up with a few more obscure records.

I mean I like him as a player, and when he’s called upon his ready to go. Not just be a game manager but will light things up with the best of them.

Arizona looks worse than the Bills, though I know it is hard to imagine.

I think the hilarious part is they had a kicking competition in preseason stuck with Phil Dawson and are paying Dawson a boatload to kick and yet they can’t even get in field goal range meanwhile he’s at least fairly reliable and other teams were missing left and right all day. I think he’s the 12th highest paid kicker in the league. Got themselves a highly paid benchwarmer at this rate.

  4. Both these teams have done very little offensively. Eli isn’t the problem with the giants, their line seems to plate garbage, and they have like one good receiver.

Dallas keeps killing their drives with penalties. Don’t foresee the giants coming back from this but both these teams seem pretty lousy

  5. This is an “on” year for him since he took over for a starter, that said this is probably the best receiving corps he’s played with. I mean if you look at it fairly Fitz has played for some incredibly bad teams and hasn’t done badly given what he had to work with. I’ll root for him since the Bills are in rebuilding mode.

McDermott needs to just take over the Defense like I said last week. Fire this complete waste Fraiser and name some token “DC” but let Mcd run the show. He took over the playcalling in the second half and magically we got pressure and stops. Fraiser is terrible and needs to be fired Monday.

If that’s the case I agree let Clappy continue calling the plays. Defense looked completely different. Sometimes it’s just best for the team, same thing happened when Rex let the defense go to the coordinators, fell apart.

He doesn't throw more picks than TDs in 67% of his starts either and hasn't been pulled for inept play in a very long way time

Stafford took quite a few hits in that game, if he was hurting it can happen might have hurt his ribs on that one shot and I’ll attest to ribs being sore could take some velocity off the throws, couple that with the jets knowing the plays as they claim it was a situation that was probably unavoidable.

Its possible to excuse stuff like that if the player has a proven track record of some kind. Just like our old buddy Fitz, sure he throws a bunch of picks in some games but he also puts up those huge games like Sunday. If Peterman threw a pick and came back with a few perfect drives no one would care.

bowels to me has this strange smirk.  like he farted and he's waiting for someone to find out.  i wouldn't put so much stock into peterman starting.  it was never about him.  it was more just place holder.  aj would certainly have been a slightly wiser move, but i'm guessing the outcome would ultimately be the same.

If it was for placeholder because they didn’t want Allen to start right away then they should have just picked up a seasoned veteran to start. It’s not like Allen would learn anything from Peterman since he’s arguably worse than Allen to begin with.

.....more concerned about team preparedness (or lack thereof) and no answers from McD, Daboll, Frazier or Castillo vs Ravens.......gashed all pre-season in Run D......gotta be some talent somewhere on the roster (besides the handful of obvious ones) versus a bunch of empty suits.......inability to adjust is a major concern and with Phillip comin' yo town after 424 yds passing ain't good....

Rewatch the game and tell me what adjustments you saw Clappy introduce to try and slow down the offensive onslaught?

    this season is defacto tanking

over $53 million in DEAD MONEY for 2018.  clearing out all those bad contracts  is painful

2019 is already Projected to have  $90 million in available cap space.....and that includes Clay, Hughes and McCoy who are all likely gone. That puts you near $110 mil.

Talent scouting and coaching helps Belichick gets these no name releases onto the pats, puts them behind Brady and they consistently make the playoffs.

    good for you.

Well look at it this way, what adjustments were even made to try and stop the Ravens from piling on the score? I don’t believe in “the process”.  Clappy is more like a lateral move from Rex. I’d even take Todd Bowles and his blank stare over Clappy clapping when we do something lousy. This guy elected to start Peterman not once but twice. Sure Tyrod wasn’t the answer but at least he didn’t lose games directly.

  12. Kaepernick wants starter money. Distraction or not he’d have to prove that he was worth starter money. It’ll never happen, only way he plays again is if someone wants to risk it and he takes a pay cut.

As far as Peterman he might be an OK backup but even Allen is already far better.

After seeing Fitzpatrick today we probably would have been better off just keeping him all along until we got someone suitable, sure he’s on and off but at least he’s been arguably better overall than the fill ins since. He can at least light em up periodically to give you a flash of enjoyment.

If Clappy (what I call McDermott) doesn’t start Allen next week I won’t even bother watching.
