In this scenario wouldn’t they need to preserve the H2H games with the Bills and Bengals to preserve for tie breaker scenarios? In that case, they would have 13 (or 14) wins subject to elimination and just one loss…

I thought we should have traded for him at the deadline. I would think a 3rd maybe 4th would have done it and we would have got a comp pick back if he left in free agency.
Regarding impending free agency - would not give a big contract to any RB given the current state of the NFL. I’d consider a two year deal if he would take below market value if he wants to ring chase.

Yes - already called and request shutoff. Unfortunately they said I need to wait until an end of a billing cycle - which means either 12/23 or 1/23 for me. Gotta stick it out one more month to make sure I can watch the Pats game and week 18 AFC madness…

I think Boettger is eligible to come back and his deadline to do so is tomorrow I believe. He was ahead of Bates in the pecking order last year before the injury. Remains to be seen if he’s healthy enough to play but I have my fingers crossed.

When do practice squad elevations for a Saturday night game need to be announced by? I seem to recall for the Thursday Pats game they had until 4 PM of game day. Is that the same for tomorrow?

I was curious about this too so ventured over to a Pats board - they think the PS guy is their kick off specialist to save some of Folks leg for FGs.

I planned on coming to this game from Columbus, Ohio but starting to look doubtful.

I suggested Hunt in the CMC thread... expiring contract and significantly less trade compensation. I would do this for a 5th in a heartbeat. I think we had interest in him when he was a free agent but didn't want to deal with the PR side of it at that time.

I think we should make a play for Kareem Hunt and his expiring contract. Has proven to be durable and is a similar threat in the passing game, not to mention he would be a fraction of the price CMC Is. I think we were connected to him a couple years ago when he was on the market but Beane & Co. probably didn't want to deal with the PR side of itback then.

I ran the ESPN playoff simulator for this scenario and the Bengals hold the tie breaker over us and would be the #2. Not sure what the tie breaker is that puts it in their favor because we would have same overall/conference/divisions records in this scenario. Maybe winning % against common opponents?
