Repeat the same thing over and over every thread.
I think after the last couple of days everyone knows your position on Allen.
And I get to hear in many threads all the hopefuls' position on Allen, what's the issue?

But let me guess you think Completion % Means accuracy right?
It's absolutely a component of accuracy.

Pretty sure Boller didn't have that level of arm strength though. Really no one has but the tops ever. Elway, Farve, Vick
I certainly concede the arm talent part of it. I don't really even remember the ball leaving Favre or Elway's hand like it does Allen's. I'd have to go back and watch old games.
4 minutes ago, MAJBobby said:That actually is 100% a straw man argument. While yes you cannot teach accuracy you can ABSOLUTELY Teach, base, footwork, mechanics, arm angles, ETC which all lead to improved accuracy.
If you look at his college tape, when he had those good fundamentals his balls where on target. So it shows its there also you can see it now just by watching him.
How many inaccurate QB's have been cured with changes to footwork, and is it a high percentage? Are the odds in favor of it?

Ive been thinking about this too. The question is will Josh and Shady ever actually play together?
This is probably Shady's last year, and I think Allen only plays if there are some injuries.
However, McClappity started Perteman when it was painfully obvious he was not ready to start, so, there is hope for you Allen fans

You gotta play the odds because they are pretty much all long shots.
Correct, but picking Allen is playing some of the worst odds available at the time...
The Allen pick was a "gut" pick by a couple of guys who won't even acknowledge analytics. They used their eyeballs only, those days are gone, just as gone as running the ball to setup the pass...

At least he claps a lot, from what I am hearing, that is a sign of a great coach.

His accuracy will improve once Foster is gone.

Ive been a fan since 1963. I’ll never change teams.
It was not meant to insult, it is a suggestion.
Upon reading your posts you don’t seem to like the team and you go to great lengths to criticize.
Ok, so you got me beat on the longevity of fandom, early 1980's for me. And the team has sucked for a long time, pretty much it's entire existence. Ralph got lucky with one GM, then fired him, was a terrible owner in terms of putting product on the field. In the end keeping the team in Buffalo was about the only thing he did right.
Allen is a longshot at best. Not sure how anyone can disagree with that, if they do, it's simply their fandom getting in the way of the reality of the situation.

You can always root for another team.
Have you ever done that? I was born and raised a Bills fan, I have never had an inkling to root for another team. Not sure if that was meant as an insult or not...
Just now, aceman_16 said:Odds are IF they had the balls irl to do it they have conviction with some good reasons behind it.
How he performed at a small school, seems to be very good reasons for a whole host of talent evaluators and analytics houses to take the stance Allen will not pan out. Is the stance that you're taking based soley on the fact that the Bills selected him?
btw, I have this argument with family and co-workers just the same as online, guess they don't need safe spaces like most Americans do these days.

Do you think Beane and McD will be gone after 3 years?
They hitched their wagon to Allen, so odds are yes.

The dude joined a little more than 24 hours ago and is already deemed a troll with his 60 posts. He started off with a bang.
What does someone like you actually do when you come across someone in real life who thought the Allen pick was a bad one, run away? Sheesh...

Sounds like that's what you're hoping for. May I suggest getting a Darnold jersey and cheering for the Jets.
I hate the Jets, why the hell would I do that? The objective is for the Bills to actually be good one day...

From what McD and Beane have said they did not ignore his accuracy stats. They did a detailed analysis of them and decided accuracy would not be a reason to not draft him. On top of that they loved the arm, the size, the attitude and intangibles.
We'll see, but that detailed analysis may have just been what they used to convince themselves to go with the physical tools kid... I mean, it's their career's, but I am getting tired of the Bills sucking. The new FO + Coach every 3 years is getting annoying.

I don't report to mods. I don't put people on ignore. I DO call BS when I see it. We get it. You do not like Allen and he is a fake bill of goods and the Bills and the fans who like him are idiots who do not understand the game of football. Did I capture your rally cry?
"The Bills can do no wrong, I trust the process, look at that arm!"
Did I capture yours?
I want the Bills to be good, not hope they will be...

Thank you. Glad someone has it all figure out. The kid and the team should simply quit; season and career simply over.
That's a bit of a drama queen take isn't it?
Allen won't even start this season.

No, I think the odds are that Allen becomes a franchise QB, you delete this account and start trashing the Bills under a new one.
What makes you believe the odds are that he becomes a franchise QB? I don't think you can use a term like odds for such a statement. It's more that you HOPE he becomes a franchise QB, it's not about odds and numbers, because the numbers say otherwise.

It is not the opinion... it is the timing and insistence. I was not one to want Allen - for the record I wanted Baker (check my posting history). However, what makes a troll is one's deliberately offensive or provocative online posts with the aim of upsetting someone or eliciting an angry response from them. So yeah... it is NOT difficult to look up one's posting history and see this trend ESPECIALLY when they have only 50ish.
LOL, who allows themselves to get angry on the internet? What happens when you come across someone IRL who thinks the Allen pick was a mistake? Try to report that person to a MOD? It's just Football, chill.

Difference being that Allen is going to taught how to be a proper NFL QB. Boller was thrown in day one and Leaf was going to be a trainwreck no matter where he went.
Well, I guess you hope he will be properly taught, that is no guarantee. Plus, you can't really teach accuracy, that's been proven many times over, with very few exceptions. The odds are, the Bills will be looking for another franchise QB while a guy like Darnold is going to the playoff's every year.

I'm not a fan of the self absorbed Newton, so I like what KB has done. Good job IMO. Plus, he played pretty well last night.

Ah yes, if you're not an eternal optimist, you're a troll. Love the way Bills fans think.

Please, Leaf was an arrogant D-bag that didn't want to put in the work. Allen has been quite the opposite. He wants to work.
That's true, but I was mainly talking about the FO getting all weak in the knees over Allen's physical tools, and ignoring all the accuracy issues.

Meh, I still like that we were able to keep all the picks we did. Jets gave up alot to get to that number 3 spot
If they drafted a QB that makes them a perennial playoff team and always in the hunt for a championship, all those draft picks are def worth it.
