  1. Sorry if this has already been asked.   My son in law, daughter, and twelve year old grandson are going to be at the game.  Are there any tailgate locations they should be aware of before the game?   We’re from Wyoming and saw Josh play at UW.  Everyone is excited !!

I don't live in WNY anymore, but I can tell you that Josh Allen is not yet a must-watch amongst the average NFL fan.  He's not talked about much outside of WNY or the hardcore NFL media types.   People know of him, but they aren't fascinated by Josh Allen like they are Baker or Lamar Jackson...or now Daniel Jones.    If Josh looks great this weekend and the Bills beat New England, that will change.

As a Josh Allen and Bills fan from Wyoming I can say he is "must watch" here, and not just in WNY or or among hardcore fans.  However I also have to admit that given our small population, the sample size is low.  This Sunday could make a difference in the number of interested Josh Allen fans, but as far as I'm concerned, for those who don't follow his career, it's their loss.

Here's all you need to know in order to understand Colin Cowherd's football opinions:

NYC: #1 metro area in population

Miami: #7 metro area in population

Boston: #10 metro area in population

Buffalo: #50 metro area in population

He has openly expressed his disdain for blue collar people and small cities and feels that the NFL would be a better league if the Buffalo Bills had moved to Toronto.

As a resident of the state with the smallest population, most of the national sports media, with the exception of Adam Schein, think if it didn’t happen in Boston, New York, L.A., or the S.E.C...it didn’t happen.  Screw ‘em.  The Buffalo Bills will make the playoffs in 2019...mark it down.

For the first time in his career, he will have an entire off season to work on his mechanics

Hopefully he’s working on them now.  I love JA, and I hope he’s taking all the advantages during the off season to learn and improve.  It’s not like there’s any pressure on the guy, right ? :)

Thanks.  Nothing is gonna get done at work today.

Luckily, I'm retired so I plan on watching it until, oh...about dinner time..  I don't know if Allen is going to be great, but the kid is the first quarterback since Elway who makes me want to see more.  Can't wait for 2019 season!!!

13-3. Losses @ CLE, @ NE, and @ NYJ. Bills' times of not being good end suddenly and without doubt. It often goes this way when teams turn the corner.

Overly optimistic, but not impossible.  The idea that a team can turn it around after a losing season isn’t a pipe dream.  They’re signing up some solid FA, and the draft still to come.   Next season could be 13-3, or 8-8.  Time will tell.

Or, Beane saw an elite talent available at a huge position of need.

AB doesn’t want to come here.

    Deal falls through.

    Unfortunately, that’s like what happened.

BUT, I will say this.  I do not fault Beane one bit for this.  He saw an opportunity to land a top talent and he tried.  There is absolutely nothing to be upset about regarding Beane.  If we are going to be upset, we have two options here.....

1: Be upset with Brown (this is where I am).  I think it’s ridiculous that a guy doesn’t want to play with a HOF QB, a winning franchise, then gets his chance to leave town and he turns it down.

2: Be upset at Rapaport for breaking the story before it was a done deal.  If a trade was in the works and it was never reported (unlikely to ever happen this way in this day and age), we wouldn’t have woken up to numerous tweets and posts about buffalo being a terrible place to play and live.

Beane did his job.  Brown came face-to-face with reality...a team that wanted to trade for him not named the San Francisco 49ers.

Denver or Elway look like clowns themselves. Snag Keenum and let Allen, Rosen and Jackson all pass by last year. At least Chubb does look like a stud for them I guess. Now grab Flacco as the savior?

Do they make up for it in this years draft at 10? I can't see Flacco being the answer.

Agreed.  Chubb is an outstanding defensive player, at least one year in.  But in my mind the most difficult position to fill in football is quarterback, and Denver/Elway absolutely blew it last year.  He was 2 hours south of Josh Allen for God’s sake!!!

  9. This is remarkably researched, and I LOVE Josh Allen.  I watched him play in Laramie and have been able to watch much of his pro career on tv so far. The bottom line  is...Josh Allen is an inaccurate. passer.   There's really no debate on that subject.  However, with the addition of competent interior linemen and possession receivers, he can reach 60%-65% completion percentage...the magic number according to most analytic experts.  But in my mind his completion percentage should carry less weight than most, because Allen's completions have game changing potential.  That's just me, though.  The bottom line is, Allen's  numbers do need to improve to satisfy the skeptics.

  10. Josh Allen will be a good NFL quarterback.  I live in Wyoming and attended most of his home games.  I'm certainly not an expert at football, (or posting on these boards:)  We won't know how good for three years or so, at least that's what the "experts" say.  The accuracy issue is something that will dog Allen his whole professional career.  It doesn't seem to be an issue when the media experts talk about the other new qbs.   Allen's completion percentage is at 53%.  Josh Rosen is at 54%.  Lamar Jackson is at 59%, and Baker Mayfield is currently at 63%.  All are better then JA, but no one's burning up the charts.  Give him time.

  11. Are there existing statistics, regarding any NFL quarterback’s passing stats, that separate out dropped passes from incomplete passes ?   I read that “dropped vs incomplete” pass argument often about Josh Allen’s completion percentage on TBD, but I suppose this could apply to any  quarterback.  Just wondering.

  12. As a almost lifetime resident of Wyoming, I'm one of the lucky few who have seen Josh Allen play in person.  Will he be a bust?  Maybe, but don't bet against him.  Allen has dealt with non-believers his entire football career.  He wasn't coddled, he wasn't given special treatment.  Hell, he had to play football at Wyoming because no one else was interested.  The Buffalo Bills drafted a tough, athletic, intelligent football player with a giant chip on his shoulder and an intense drive to prove the doubters wrong.
