Another ex Wyoming Cowboy. With Gentry and Hollister already in the fold, cant be coincidental!

Josh never threw to Gafford though because Gafford was a corner at Wyoming. The Raiders converted him to a receiver a couple years ago.

  2. I don’t even care if he can only punt it 30 yds. We’re not punting but maybe 30 times this year. I want someone that can catch and hold that long snap because that’s what our punter is going to be paid for this year. It’s 30 punts to more than 70 extra points and field goals. Instead of listing him as a punter, I’d change it to holder and let people wonder who the punter is.

  3. I think game two for Mitch is his opportunity to show the Bills that he is Josh’s backup. Dabs has to let him throw the ball just as much as Josh would. Game one was Singletary’s to prove that he was capable game two I think should be Mitch’s.

I’ll take the 9-3 and be thrilled! Dak isn’t a great QB, but he has the second most wins since he came into the league. Just win, baby!

Heading into week 12 with 9 wins means we did it in 11 games, so that’s even better!  ?

    .

Gotta win the bye week too. ?

  5. What if he continues to struggle with accuracy and he’s only at 59% headed in to week 12 but our record is 9-3? What if he only has 4 game winning drives by that time also. That is unacceptable. I think we should bench him because obviously he’s not “the guy”  and probably fire McClappy too.

  6. Not a single thing has surprised me this year. That’s because I saw it all during the last few years. Just watching the highlights does not tell you who JA is. You have to watch him through the whole game and week to week. He has grown a lot this year, but his very first win in Laramie was in an overtime game where he had to scramble on like 4th down to score a touchdown. It was a completely busted play where he should have been sacked/tackled multiple times.

Its been hard hard being a Wyoming fan and a JA fan. Listening to all of the people that hated him and thought he was a bust. No one really knew him. He is a different kind of player. You just have to throw the stats out know he is going to do everything in his power to win and get better.

Reading all of these posts just gives me chills  because everything I have know about him for so many years is starting to become evident to so many new people. Get ready for the ride because it’s going to be fun!

  7. I can’t find the video of it but Allen did the same thing in the 2016 MWC Championship game. The hit looked exactly like the one today but the DB fumbled it out of the end zone. Here is the blurb about it in the paper.

Kazee stepped in front of an Allen pass at Wyoming’s 26-yard line and was off to the end zone. But Allen hit Kazee just before the goal line, knocking the ball loose for a touchback.

I think if you pay a player a ton of money, they will come here.  This culture thing is so overrated.  A guy isn’t going to come here for less money because SM took away the ping pong table.

But if a player has the choice between Jacksonville and Buffalo with the same amount of money being offered will chose the team with better culture.

I completely agree. I pray we have our nQB of the future, and after that you build both lines. Shiny toys are great, but the game is won and lost in the trenches.

I think most good O-linemen are team/family oriented and want to work for a team that will treat them like family. That is the culture they are building in Buffalo. Look at the way everyone talks on the team. It is all encouraging and you feel like they would fight for the betterment of the team instead of personal stats. One or two FA linemen would do wonders for next year. A 9-7 or 10-6 team next year with continued improvement from Allen will really draw the shiny toys in. Throw in some quality draft picks and this rebuild will be over and sustained success will be the norm.

In what world is Zay a good receiver?

I understand the OPs point, but these are guys our front office and HC chose.

So all these "practice squad" players are guys our decision makers thought were good enough to start.

    Lmao.

They wanted what they have. I'll give em credit for Allen to this point. Outside of that, their offensive decisions have been mostly  awful.

They chose what they could get. You are not going to get quality receivers to come to a team that has no one to get them the ball. They are not going to take more money to see their stats suck. Get a QB and then see the receivers start to consider a move to the Bills. The FO and HC found the QB, now you'll start see quality FA come too.
