Kolb’s career ending slipping on a mat before ever playing a snap for Bills.

Honorable mention:  Duke Williams game winning TD catch and the false hope of future contribution it created lol

I was at the practice when Kolb slipped on the mat. People started checking Twitter on their phones because we all realized he wasn't on the field. That didn't end his career though. He got hit in the back of the head during a pre season game causing a concussion. That's what ended his career.

  2. I vividly remember watching this game on TV with my dad. I would have been 11. I actually said something about them blocking the FG as Denver was lining up. He told me it wasn't going to happen. We both lost our minds when it did. I remember sitting down for dinner after the game was over and telling him my heart was still pounding.

I've pretty much given up the idea of ever going to camp again. It used to be a fun thing for my son and I but ever since the lotto ticket we've never been able to go.

You can always ask people on here if they have extra tickets. I made a last minute trip to the area last summer to go to the races with my dad. I posted on here looking for tickets to a Sunday practice. Somebody on here hooked me up with a pair.

  4. I was at the 6-3 Browns game. I can't think of the year. 2010 maybe. Derek Anderson completed 2 passes and the Browns won. The Bills committed a ridiculous number of false start penalties and I think the game ended on a Roscoe Parish fumble on a punt return. I've never felt the need to rewatch any portion of that game.

    Was it sarcasm?

If sincere, that seems odd given it appears to be a relatively small wedding and it doesn't look like a large number of Bills players were there (Knox, Shakir, Dion, Spencer Brown who I've seen so far - I would expect the entire OL was invited)

You got a NFL superstar and a movie star getting married, they either have to limit the guest list hard, or they have to invite hundreds and hundreds.

I'm not sure if they were being sarcastic or not. They were praising Josh for being at OTAs with the wedding being so close. They were also discussing what you would get 2 celebrity millionaires as a wedding gift.

  6. Chris Spielman has gotten a lot of mentions and he would have to be my pick. I remember watching Sports Center and hearing that the Bills had signed him. I was so excited and started celebrating. My sister came downstairs to see what I was yelling about. It's a shame he only played one full season in Buffalo. He sustained a neck injury halfway through his second year which basically ended his career. He took the following season off to take care of his wife. Then he was traded to the Browns and reinjured his neck in training camp and called it a career.

  7. I remember Atlanta running it when June Jones was there. I remember Jones and Jeff George getting into a shouting match on the sidelines. They signed Eric Metcalf in 1995 and converted him to WR. He, Bert Emanuel, and Terrence Mathis all had 1000 yard seasons that year

I've learned in the years since that attendance that day was approximately 4.6 million.

Sorry you were the only soul in WNY that wasn't there. :D

I have to admit I listened to the game on the radio. My dad lived in Hamlin at the time and we were making the every other weekend shuffle back to my mom's in Elmira... A few of the players that were interviewed for "Four Falls of Buffalo" joked about the number of people they've talked to over the years that claimed to have been there. My grandparents' neighbor was there. He's the guy they always show in the highlights holding the sign that said "I don't hear any fat lady singing". One of my brother's friends was in that group too.

People complain no matter what an athlete does. In these days of "load management," the feat is even more impressive.

Fans complain about a player not chasing a championship and going for the money. Kevin Durant chased a championship when he signed with Golden State and fans acted like he was the biggest POS in NBA history.

I wonder who CBS will get to replace Watt in the studio with. Also, James Brown is getting up there. I wouldn't be surprised if he retires soon, and Nate Burleson takes over as host.

I got the impression towards the end of last season that CBS was starting to groom Burleson for that role. He was taking the lead during some segments and JB kinda laid out

This has always been on my bucket list, as well as the Rock and Roll HOF, however, with Canada boycotting US destinations presently, my future plans are in limbo, which is a real shame for us who like to travel to our southern neighbors.

I'll eventually make it to Canton.........just can't say when just yet.

I did both on a vacation about 8-10 years ago. Great trip. I stayed just outside of Cleveland. Canton is only about a 45 minute drive from Cleveland. The house from A Christmas Story is also in Cleveland. Did a tour of that as well. It was my second time going to the Pro Football HOF. I'd been as a teenager. It's so much bigger and better than it was then. I also went to some really cool restaurants in Cleveland. The Melt, Happy Dog, and Great Lakes Brewing are musts if you're in that area.

It is easier to blame or place the blame on someone else  than accept your own mistakes.  Kelly was calling plays in that SB and was forgetting the run game although NY played most of the game with only two DL.

We need to face games avoiding depending on things we cannot control, referees are one of those things, and try to plan and play better than  we have on the past

The fact that Thurman Thomas only had 15 carries in that game was criminal!

He called into the post game with Schopp and the Bulldog after we either clinched the AFC east in 2020 or when we won the first playoff game against the Colts, can't rememebr which.  Seemed like he might have had one or two as well, it was awesome and he sounded like a genuine fan.

I literally just posted this, then saw this post, and deleted mine. I quoted the same post as well. 🤣

  14. When Rex hired his brother I changed the name of my fantasy football team to "Two Ryans Don't Make a Right". I went to the Bills/Jets game at Met Life at the end of that 2016 season, the week after Rex had been fired. I lost count of how many Jets fans came up to us in the parking lot wanting to know if we were happy that he was gone.

Walking from bars back to hotel. Had my Bills hat on. After waking up from smelling salt a couple came up and said they saw the whole thing. Sucker punched from behind which sent me on my hands and knees, then was kicked in the face/head by the three dudes. My buddies were up ahead of me and couldn't get back down in time to help out. Wasn't good.

My brother got robbed in Nashville a day or 2 before the MNF game a couple years ago when the Bills went for the win and Josh slipped on the QB sneak at the goal line. He was sitting in a bar at a table next to a window. The window was open. He took his wallet out of his pocket and set that and a couple of other things on the table. Just trying to get organized I guess. Somebody from outside jumped halfway through the window and snatched his wallet. My brother tried to chase the guy but he jumped on an electric scooter and sped off. Not as bad as your story but still pretty s*****

Suddenly the SOB can throw to a tight end inside the numbers....

It was a very cool moment.   Tyrod set football back 50 years with his playoff performance here but otherwise a great leader and teammate.

His performance in the game before he was benched was really bad too. His benching was justified. It just wound up being a disaster.
