If that's the cost, you could just use the pick on a RB which would be cheaper both monetarily and from a pick standpoint (especially with the cap issues). The injuries last year are kind of worrying tbh. I had a bad ankle sprain almost 20 years ago and I can still feel it sometimes. Granted, I'm not an elite athlete but those injuries are amplified for guys who weigh well over 200 pounds.

He is proven and would defiantly take us to the next level I believe but I agree with you though.

I think if we “back up the brinks truck” for him to show that we acknowledge his skills/talent it could blunt the draw of a HC position.

I have also heard that him and JA are like BFFs and that has to count for something.

I think being a part of a potentially historic team is better than a potential HC position where we can potentially fall on his face when he doesn’t have a transcendent QB.

I can't believe they didn't offer an extension already.

The player who was drafted the highest was John Brown............. in the 3RD ROUND.

    Diggs was a 5th rounder

    Beasley was undrafted

Davis was a 4th round rounder

and the 5th guy they use, McKenzie, is a former castoff of the Broncos, was a 5th rounder .

Props to these guys for making themselves part of one of the best WR groups in all the NFL. Not one of them came into the league as a blue chip guy.

    Kudos to them.

Personally, I was a big fan of Lee Evans and wish we could have played better with him.  I love this group though.

That was true when we were adjusting to life without him, but against a tough Niners Defense, Josh Allen and the Offense were machine-like in their execution without John Brown in the mix.   I think we're just starting to see the explosive ability of Gabriel Davis - He does it in a different way than Brown, but at UCF he was a monster deep threat, and seems to be showing that skill in the NFL already.

I don't doubt that we'll be even more lethal with him back, and with the way we throw it around, we need to prioritize having 4 good WR's on the roster every year, but does one of them need to be John Brown next year?... at that cap hit?... I'm not sure...

Ya I get your point about Davis and he does look the part but man when smoke is in the lineup and Davis is the 4 man that is scary.  Restructure may be the way to go but I wouldn't press any buttons cause we are really not hurting in many areas where we need that money.

  5. Um dude, 49ers have a very good D, the Dolphins are pretty darn good ( how do you not know that ), we have a terrible MNF track record, home field advantage this year means absolutely nothing without fans, they have 2 really good WR's and pretty good running game. All this and the fact that we have been kind of streaky the last few weeks is why we are the underdogs, but hear me out..... I LOVE BEING THE UNDERDOG!!

You can't name me one signature win in 4 years.

He hasn't beaten the Pats, sucked on primetime, and only beat the Steelers because the QB was named "Duck."

The Tennessee Titans have adopted their coaches attitude: Tough, resilient, aggressive, and don't back down from ANYBODY.

Our Bills have adopted their HC attitude: Timid, soft, and conservative with no aggression.

Sean McDermott was supposed to be a defensive guru yet, his defense is the worst I've seen in years.

    A couple of other things:

    1. The fake snap count to draw opposing team Offside DOESN'T WORK. It's soft. It's conservative. It's stupid. We let them rest for 5 minutes to just completely blow up the next play then proceeded to punt. That cost us huge.

    2. I want somebody to be responsible for using this much capital into the defensive side of the ball through draft picks and free agents yet, we still SUCK. It's not acceptable and somebody needs to take ownership.

Make no mistake, this team is soft and can't compete with the big boys. We choked twice on primetime and will be lucky to win the East. The Patriots will shred this team.

We as fans deserve to be pissed because we have suffered to damn long to support this crap.

Hey bud, maybe I missed something but were we not # 2 in all Defense last year? I think that is pretty good.

The only reason we held them to a relatively low point total was our attempt at ball control offense (we had one long drive), and the fact Andy Reid decided to run the ball all night. We never really stopped them, and I think they could have thrown the ball all over the yard if they wanted.

Playing coverage all night is the reason why the ran so well.  You must pick your poison and if we would have stacked the box and limited their running then PM would have had big numbers in the pass game.  Overall it was the right thing to do but dang we need a plug in the middle to help with run D.

If we're being honest, here, I think we can all agree that Knox pretty much sucked last year.

I love the kid and I think he's going to be a great TE.  But comparing him to Kelce in any way with regard to being and NFL TE shouldn't even happen.

And as much as I am not a Sam fan, the Chiefs were able to push the right buttons to make him play as well as we all hoped he would in Buffalo.  I think most would take him over Brown in a heartbeat.

KC is better in every way, starting with coaching - and it's not close.

The two main reasons in my opinion for sammy not working out is that we didn't have a great coach and didn't have a very good QB.  If you want to attach a 3rd reason to that I think that Buffalo still wasn't an attractive town.  Things have changed and I think if he were here now it would be a different mindset.

Buff, over the same 4 years, Addison had 39 sacks and Ngokue had 37.  Yanni i is demanding $20 mil./yrs. and would need to give away picks.  He’s not worth it.  Addison, Epenesa, Butler, H. Phillips, Jefferson, added to Hughes, and Star is enough.  We most likely move on from Hughes next year, but Epenesa will have a year under his belt, and guess what position will be our #1 pick next year.

    Good thinking.

  10. Anytime we have a chance to upgrade the roster you need to seriously look into that.  I would seriously doubt the Jags would go for a murphy and 2nd that turns into a 1st but I have been wrong before.  This guy is one of the best and I would trade for him in a sec as long as the price is not too steep.
