I actually think the Jets job is pretty attractive and that they have a chance to be much better next year with competent coaching and a new QB.  They had a very good draft last year and have lots of extra picks this year.  A pretty good defense is already in place there...

Carson Wentz is not going to save anyone.  And neither is Sam Darnold.

Ask Ryan Tannehill about what a change in scenery can do  ...  Mike Tomlin  > Gase/Bowles combined.

I can’t get over his delivery.

idk anything about the guy and offer no projection, but his delivery bugs me

Supposedly Tua has the quickest release of any NFL QB but the lowest velocity. Need a bigger sample size but not impressed with his 1st game.  No way he can run like Josh and his ability to take a hit is TBD. Makes you wonder why Miami took him over Herbert other than his college record.

Should I name the "Pom Pom" Brigade,  going on about 6-2 and that McD is getting everything he can out of this group (yes hyperbole & sarcasm).

Again I think this is a very good team who has regressed on Offense and the Defense no where near what people thought they were.

Did the Titans regress on offense and defense against the Bengals ? Any given week ...

I don’t think they will lose enough games to get fields unless they trade up. I have a feeling fields ends up in Atlanta. I wouldn’t be surprised to see the pats trade for Matt Ryan. Belichick doesn’t seem like the type who really wants to “start over” at QB. Plus ryan went to BC, seems like a match made in heaven for him possibly.

Fields could easily end up in Jax -  I'd bet Lawrence would love to go the Falcons given that he played HS ball in Cartersville and he could sit behind Ryan for a year.

    Nice article.

    Combo of factors for sure.

    A few thoughts...

    1) Like many on this board, I haven't really valued Star all that much the last couple of years. But, maybe I've been wrong and his lack of stats didn't matter, that he really was/is a cog that helps the other 10.. chewing up space and blockers.

    2) Hughes just can't seem to do it anymore like he used to. Hurts to say that, but it's not there.

    3) We need to get bigger and stronger. As you mentioned, getting blown off the ball 5 yards sometimes is unacceptable and unsustainable.

    4) Scheme. What do I know... but I do know I saw holes 10 feet wide vs KC. How does that happen?

    5) Milano is a difference-maker. Amazing how 1 guy changes the whole vibe on defense.

    6) Have Hyde/Poyer peaked and/or on their way down?

    7) Could use me some Lorax right now.

8 ) Would welcome a trade for a very large, mean and nasty Interior DL. Lose pick(s) and $ in the deal if you have to.

    #4 - Forrest Gump would've scored 3 Monday night

Count me in the minority here, but I have a problem with these kids coming out of college and dictating where they will or won't go. It really rubs me the wrong way. I remember when Eli came out, and basically said he refused to go to the Chargers.  They ended up swinging a trade with the Giants and got an extra 1st rounder, or two?  I can't remember.  But even back then, I thought to myself, "what a primadonna".  And I don't have anything against Eli, but I'm old school.  I'm of the belief that playing in the National Football League is a privilege that less than 1% of the population ever gets bestowed upon them, and to be selected in the NFL draft is an honor of the highest level.  The NFL draft is a tradition that has gone on for as long as it has without a hitch, and was designed to promote competitiveness amongst teams.  Now you got these kids coming out of college, with everyone in their ear, telling them how great they are, how their crap doesn't stink, and they can tell the NFL where THEY want to go....really?

I'm sorry, I just don't think it should be that way. IMO, you go where you're drafted.  If you have a problem with that, there's always the CFL, Arena football, the XFL, whatever.  But no NFL for you.  You had the chance, and you chose to make a statement "I'm bigger than the NFL."  So godspeed young man.

I know I may be alone in my thinking, but I feel like if we start (or continue) letting these kids dictate where they go when they're drafted, or say where they won't go, we're setting ourselves up for further chaos and audacious actions down the road.  Furthermore, we're jeopardizing a tradition that has been a part of the league for damn near ever, and messing with the competitive spirit the game revolves around.   Just my two cents..

Lawrence would not be jeopardizing anything - he's a junior. If he stays in school, he runs the risk of getting injured without any guaranteed money. His choice and it probably depends on whether they win the national championship this year.

The Jets probably arent going 0-16, which means even at 1-15 they're beating someone.  Why not Buffalo?

Looking at their schedule, they're going 0-16 and Trevor Lawrence is staying at Clemson.

When Josh Allen is inaccurate, the ball being slightly high in the beasley INT for example..

Does anyone know if its a consistent technical issue? Footwork? Rushing the throw?

Collinsworth was saying he rushed the mechanics on that one

Collingsworth also said his base was too wide causing him to release the ball on a more upward trajectory than needed.

3 straight wins to get to 9-3, including an upset win over the Cowboys on Thanksgiving will have us all feeling great over the holiday weekend..........

3 straight losses will have us all in a panic and setup a must win final weekend in Buffalo vs. the Jets to get into the playoffs.

McDermott and Josh Allen put up a stinker and lose in heartbreaking fashion, and miss the playoffs, setting up an offseason fueled with discussion over whether this coach and QB combo are the answer.

You forgot Daboll in that stinker ...

At Miami LOSS 16-21 No offensive click the defense falls apart at the end as we lead most of the game until the end

Denver LOSS 13-10 Again we need to score frustration in the team , defense plays better but it is not enough

At Cowboys WIN expecting a loss A Big win ! An unexpected win 14-9

Ravens  LOSS We get blow away 43-7 Ravens are very very good

At Steelers LOSS Again very close 9 -13 Much improved defense from last week  and offense just not  able to score

At Patriots LOSS but it should have been a win the referees screws us on purpose and give a free win to the Cheetriots 17-22

NY Jets WIN a meaningless win , highest scoring game of the season but too late ! We blow away the NY Jets 45-10

    Very disappointing 8-8 season

I'm also wary of Miami as they aren't playing like a tank team anymore. They will still get either Tua, Burrow, or Herbert as most of the bottom feeders don't need

QBs. Fitz can step it up as well.
