Yeah, Bills fans are just a bunch of cry-babies.  All this success and they’re still complaining.  Hard to figure.

What does the Bills being historically bad have to do with the McDermott or Beane?

So yes, some fans do act like "cry-babies" and can't see the forest for the trees.

Next year I hope and expect we improve.

Going to be a young and exciting team.

    Mistakes will be made.

He did learn but it wasn’t with Cleveland now was it? Do You think Cleveland

(if Cleveland never moved )should have waited and see  for several year if he was going to be the right coach?

Why do you say he didn't learn anything? This makes no sense.

The Browns waited 5 years.  ?

This is complete and total B.S.  You just keep believing what you want to believe.  You're totally over-complicating things but whatever makes you feel better I guess.

Say/ think whatever you want about the "process" and what kinds of players they want  (you're making way too much out of that too.)  McDermott and Beane are not going anywhere for at least a few more years.   You can bank on that.  And they shouldn't go anywhere.  They should be given a fair chance to turn things around.  The long-haul type of turnaround not the mediocre Whaley type band-aid fix that gets you exactly middle-of-the-road and nothing more.

These owners are actually a lot more intelligent than you give them credit for.  They know they needed a solid, long-term plan to give this team any chance of being a contender.   They have what you obviously don't have:  patience.  It's called the 'big picture'.  But, in order to see the big picture, you have to stop crying for a minute about every loss this year and probably next.  You all are so ridiculous.  They've been on board less than 2 seasons now but you're already throwing in the towel?  Seriously?  You keep firing everyone every few years and what do you honestly expect will happen?

Another TE on the team who has caught my eye is T.J. Hochenson, 6'5", 250 lbs. I'm not sure if he is coming out. But if he was he would in my estimation worthy of a third round pick.

I like him a lot John. I think he would be the better fit in Buffalo.

    Excellent blocking.

Is much more Gronk like than Fant.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the  Patriots take him at the end of the first round. I hope not.

    I would love that mock.

And for the record, I have been saying for awhile now that I firmly believe Metcalf will be the first WR taken and is the best prospect to be a high end #1 WR in the NFL.  He has the size, uses the size, and has the speed to be a top end WR.  He is being over looked a little due to the neck injury, however, he will rise back to the consensus top guy I believe through the combine and offseason workouts.  His injury isnt a risk to his skill set, its a neck injury, not like an ACL or something that could hamper him at the next level.

There are 7 or 8 guys that have a legit shot at being taken in the first round, and this offseason, combine, workouts, etc will start separating them more.  But I expect it to be Metcalf to finish at the top of those lists most often.

I doubt Tyler Badasz lasts until the third Rnd.  "Best interior lineman in the draft".

Unpopular choice but I'd like the Bills secure him with the first pick.

So, to be clear, are we firing everybody now? Or do we get to wait?

I’m down with differing opinions. But opinions based upon 20/20 hindsight are irritating.

So, throwing games for picks that’s worked out so well for taking a playoff and competitive team to the depths.  I’m glad my older brother isn’t alive to see loser mentality fans who hop abroad wanting to lose.

You've got to be kidding me. I've been further even more decided to use even go need to do look more as anyone can. Can you really be far even as decided half as much to use go wish for that? My guess is that when one really been far even as decided once to use even go want, it is then that he has really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like. It's just common sense.

In seriousness and confident I've deciphered your post.

Yes " throwing games for picks" is a common strategy used in sporting codes across the globe.

The Buffalo Bills are a business. A high draft pick is a more important asset to the business than appeasing the likes of yourself.

  11. McD supporter here.

Did we actually want to win today?

Currently picking at 6th in the draft depending on Lions (winning atm so that won't change).

A win would have bumped us to pick 11+

If your trying to throw a game special teams isn't a bad place to do it.

** McDermott will still be head coach of the Bills in 2021. At least I hope this is the case as means we are headed in the right direction and winning.

It is as pressing a need as any on offense. Our two best pass rushers will be 36 and 31 going into next season, Shaq is playig well but is a limited rusher, Trent Murphy will likely be cut and is constantly hurt.

    Good point.

Kyle is going to need to be replaced also.

    HappyDays.

If they went all offense in this draft I feel we'd be in the same position in 2-3 years time only on the other side of the ball.

Me too. I just feel the odds point to BPA being DL, but im open to whatever wins more games ultimately. More picks is great too, but I don't see this draft having the QB prospects to make that scenario likely.

I agree, and we won't be missing out anything.

So much value in rounds 2-4 to fill our needs at wr, c, it, cb.

I'll leave it to the powers that McB.

  14. Best player available that suits our needs.

Wish we had more 2nd rounders this draft.

Expect McBeane will take a balanced approach, I'm confident they have the foresight to look beyond 2019.

Call me a kool-aid drinking homer but I'll root for whoever pulls on a Bills helmet.

Well, here we are again, at this time and place of the season, with practice squad heroes, street FAs, and backups of backups....

...STARTING...as our defensive backs == CBs, safeties, whatever. This allowed the Jets back into a game where they were physically beaten in the trenches, both sides, just like last game. So please, tell me again about how things are won upfront...when we win upfront, and still lose the game.

It's literally been 8+ years of the same exact thing. Again, we began the game with only one true starting NFL CB on the field, when we need 4. And, #1 guy decides to *%&* the bed. Which only reinforces the point: you can't expect a single CB to be the answer to all things passing in a season.

I have defined this problem, albeit obsessively,(but can you blame me after a decade+ of being right, and no action/change?) since 2005. We still have people, be they posters here, or decision-makers in the FO, or idiot media, that can't seem to process this simple concept: "it's a passing league", and teams do not have 2 starting CBs, they have 4. 4! Even if one grudgingly agrees that a slot CB is a starter(= 3rd LB only on field 30-40% of snaps => is he a starter?), it seems near impossible for that person to understand that you need a 4th corner to cover today's TEs/4 WR sets/RB out of the backfield today. Again: 4 Starters.

It makes no difference if you have 2 stud CBs. Today's QBs are simply going to find whoever is being covered by your #3-4 guys and throw it to them. And if anybody gets hurt? :wallbash: How many times must we repeat the lesson? This is rapidly approaching Orwellian denial of reason. Why is there such a blind spot on this?

Answer: because at draft time, when we take a CB in the 4th round, or any round? Clowns abound screaming about how we could have taken a C/T/G. For literally 13 years the same nonsense: draft O line is the dullard's answer to everything, and yet: nothing.

You think I'm being overly hard on this point? Wait until the draft pick threads. When we take an any-round CB: same old crap from the same old posters.

So your suggesting we should take an RB in the 1st & 3rd round?
