Please explain who the 6’3 220 pound guy with elite hands, track speed, who can separate and has excellent body control will be available at 28. Legette is 6’1, Coleman had iffy contested catch rates, and Mitchell despite his combine numbers hasn’t shown he can separate

Are we back to debating Josh's inaccuracy again???

I blame Buddy Nix.   He had the jack@ssed idea of passing on QB prospects until he'd built up the roster.   Back then,  QB's were so scarce you HAD to get them when they presented themselves.   You could go multiple drafts without even ONE emerging.   By the time Buddy determined they were ready for a QB it was a bad QB draft and he threw a pick at EJ Manuel and turned the mess over to Whaley.   Whaley had the right idea propping up his young QB with an elite WR talent.   It works.   But they brought Watkins onto a rudderless ship with no leadership AT ALL in the WR room and he went from a guy at Clemson who was seen as a gamer to a guy in the NFL who was just cashing checks.   Anquan Boldin was a UFA in 2014 and his and Watkins' families had ties in southwest FL but the cash-to-the-cap Bills weren't going to pay the then-valued Boldin to mentor Watkins.  When McD came in they brought Boldin in to mentor Watkins but it was much too late.   The Bills really wasted Watkins.......he was a helluva talent and his body wasn't busted up when they drafted him but it was by the time he left.

Good assessment.  As another poster pointed out the bro taps, hugs, and celebration between Russ and whaley sticks with me as one of the ultimate 'billsey' drought moments.  I think everyone in the back of their minds had huge reservations about EJ but we were all so desperate for the QB savior.  Just remember how far we've come.

Does anyone worry about Beane potentially boxing himself in at WR in the Draft?

Mack Hollins doesn't change the fact that this WR room, as currently constructed, is not very good.  We have a question mark at WR1..  Is he still a WR1, what level of WR1 as he clearly isn't the type to just take over a game no matter what.  We have a decent slot WR with some outside flex in Shakir.  And we now have a depth WR in Hollins.

This is a loaded WR class.. It's also one that has Tier 1 (Harrison, Odunze, Nabers) all gone in the Top 10 and the Tier 2 WR's potentially picked over by 28.

People seem to think we have all this draft ammo to move up in RD1.. We don't.  We have a lot of picks on Day 3... that's not moving us up much.

It's march...We dont play until September.  At least give Beane a few days to work this out.

I understand why the Bills made the move to a degree but I still wouldn't have done it.  This is my least favorite of the FO moves this offseason to date.

I don't think a 33 year old DT is going to have much in the tank come December/January to impact games, so why bother with the investment?

My preference would have been to give those minutes to a rookie or a younger player.

We can always do both.  Re-watch the film on Daquan, he's a beast.  And a likeable guy!

I just remember being shocked when the Bills were on the clock.    I had thought all along that maybe the Bills understood that Aaron Donald was the best defensive player in that draft and would just wait for him to fall into their lap.    Everybody that passed on Aaron Donald looks like an idiot now.   He dominated college football..........so clearly better than Khalil Mack..........and has become the best defensive player regardless of position of the first quarter of the 21st century NFL.   Mack was a stud years 2-4 in Oakland but had largely been unimpactful, overpaid and overrated for the next 5 years until he blew up last season again.

Can we retro-fire Whaley one more time?

When you combine stats and his name, Joe Dufek is my choice for worst ever...

    1-4, 49% comp %, 4 TD 8 INT

Stats alone it is Peterman by a landslide....

I forgot Dufek.  I’d have to agree when you add the name into the stats, he’s a winner amongst losers

We need someone that can stretch the field and make room underneath for Diggs, Kincaid and Shakir. If cook could spend some time with the Juggs machine, that wouldn't hurt either.

Cook reminds of Ronnie Harmon.  To me, thats a terrifying thought.
